There’s a desk for when your workday spills over into your leisure time, though you might find it hard to concentrate with such a striking view. Happily, when you switch off you can relax on the balcony and admire the city lights. The communal gym and pool make unwinding that bit easier, too.

Located in Dubai’s ultra-modern Business Bay, this stylishly minimalist home is perfect for couples looking to explore the city or for someone seeking a home-from-home while away on business. With its large windows, you’ll be able to gaze out at the skyline over your morning coffee, before heading down to the pool or gym and working up a sweat.

Nearby you’ll be able to take a stroll, jog, or cycle along the Canal (whichever takes your fancy) before finishing up with a well-earned meal at one of the area's many eateries – with a choice ranging from high-end seafood to Asian street food, even the pickiest of eaters will be satisfied.

Although compact, this carefully considered studio apartment is an excellent crash pad for business and leisure travellers alike. The private balcony was our favourite feature – especially after a busy day spent adventuring around the city. What’s more, guests staying here have access to a communal, resort-style pool. While the home’s kitchen is better suited to lighter bites than large meals, you’re only a short drive from Downtown Dubai’s excellent selection of restaurants, so there’s no chance of going hungry here.

World Hold On

Located high above the lively streets of Downtown Dubai, this sleek apartment is positioned within minutes of the world-famous Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall and the Dubai Opera House. Although the biggest draw is, of course, your private balcony, offering spectacular views of the built-up metropolis.
