In the town of Paralimni, this villa puts you just 300 metres from the nearest sandy beach. The coastline here is studded with sandy bays between the cliffs, where crystal shallows laps at the shore. Should you need to stock up on supplies or fancy a night out, the restaurants, supermarkets and bars of Paralimni are a leisurely walk or a short drive away.

Upstairs, all the bedrooms have their own access to private balconies, courtesy of glass double doors.

Take the short 100-metre stroll from this home and you’ll find yourself on Trinity Beach. It’s also within walking distance of Protaras’ restaurants and shops – making this a great option for an easy-going coastal escape. And for relaxing days at home, there’s a private pool, a roof terrace and plenty of space for groups to stretch out. This won’t be the best option for those seeking privacy and seclusion due to the location, but it’s a great choice for families seeking ease and convenience – your host can help organise a range of child-friendly amenities. 

Moon on the Horizon

Conveniently located just five minutes from beaches, shops, and restaurants, this villa makes for a handy base for a family. It’s in Protaras so everything is within easy reach – you don’t even need a car unless you’re planning on seeing more of Cyprus. The villa is simple but attractive, and while there might not be loads of space for eight to gather inside, you can open the sliding glass doors and spread out outside. The barbecue area and alfresco table mean you can dine in, too – and sit out with a glass of wine once the kids have gone to bed.

Cloud Nine is a pristine home that sits at a walking distance from Kapparis’s gorgeous beaches. Perfect for groups of six, spend idle mornings by the quaint poolside. On hotter days, take refuge in the air-conditioned bedrooms. Close to the gorgeous coastal town of Protaras as well as the restaurants and shopping areas at the beach, you have plenty to indulge in right in your vicinity. However, if adrenaline fuelled water-sports, scuba diving or snorkelling are on your mind, there are plenty of submerged caves and rock formations to satiate that desire as well.

Enjoy doing sweet nothing from this dreamy villa while on a sunny escape in the resort town of Protaras. That's if you count – sunbathing on the terrace loungers, tucking into delicious alfresco breakfasts and floating in the private swimming pool – as doing nothing, of course. And there'll be no judgement from us if you count these as the day's main activities. 

With plenty of sun-drenched outdoor space to call your own here, it's more than likely, you'll wish to spend much of your time outside soaking up the Cypriot sun. Floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors invite in a free flow of natural daylight that bounces through the space with good vibes and a summer spirit. Meanwhile, the minimal designs in a white and grey colour scheme encourage guests to relax in a fuss-free environment far away from the stresses of daily life.

From here, you'll be just a five-minute walk from the beach, an array of lively bars, delicious eateries and close-by shops. Yes, this villa is only 400 metres from the beach and not much further to the centre of the resort town of Protaras, but we'd like this address even if it was in the middle of nowhere. Only recently built, the interior feels fresh and contemporary, but our greatest praise is reserved for the outdoor space. Not only is there a particularly inviting swimming pool, but there's also a balcony with glorious views of the Med and vast amounts of terrace space on which to sunbathe, dine alfresco to even play pool out in the open air.

Feelgood Factory

Perfectly situated just a five-minute stroll from the nearest beach, this gorgeous villa is set right in the heart of Protaras village. A popular tourist hotspot with plenty to see and do, you'll have a choice of bars, shops and restaurants right on your doorstep.

Newly built and fitted with a host of contemporary but comfortable furnishings, this place promises to keep you cosy and relaxed throughout your stay, so if you're hoping for somewhere with an authentic 'home from home' feel, then this is it.

Make no mistake, though. This place may be snug and homey, but it's certainly got that luxury appeal, too. How does a private swimming pool sound? Decked outdoor dining area? Adding a slice of finery to your trip, this home is kitted out with a host of extravagant amenities - and the surrounding sights are equally impressive.

For a day out with something for everyone, head to the beautiful Fig Tree Bay. Famed for its crystal clear waters and soft sandy beaches, this idyllic spot is perfect for sun-seekers and swimmers alike. Slip on your favourite beachwear, grab a brandy sour from the bar and get set to seize the day however you see fit. 

After a busy day exploring Protaras many sights and sounds, get set to retreat to the villa for a barbecue on the decking with some of Cyprus' best-loved bites. Think charred halloumi, succulent kleftiki and mounds of crisp leaves and juicy tomatoes. A feast fit for Aprodite herself, fill your tummy before lounging back on the corner sofa and taking a moment to properly unwind.

I'm Never Leaving

Bright, boxy and white, you would expect this Protaras villa to have some outdoor space for making the most of Cyprus's famously agreeable climate, but you might be pleasantly surprised that there's a trio of areas on which to bask in the sunshine. As well as a balcony leading off from one of the bedrooms, guests are also treated to a large terrace at ground level complete with a swimming pool and an alfresco dining table, plus a rooftop terrace from which to gaze out at the Mediterranean Sea on the horizon. 

Although you may well prefer to spend as many hours in the open air as possible, you won't feel short-changed when you eventually head inside. Walk behind the glass doors and you're greeted with a space that feels bright and inviting, thanks in main to the stark white walls, shiny floor tiling and open layout that lets the light flow about unimpeded.

When you want to swap the swimming pool for the sea, the nearest beach – Green Bay – is only 700 metres from the front door and there are plenty more to be discovered along the Cyprian coastline, including Konnos and Fig Tree Bay. The centre of Protaras itself is only 1.8km away for when you need shops and restaurants.

The Future's Bright

Just 600m from the famous Fig Tree beach, this villa certainly knocks it out of the park when it comes to location. It overlooks the glistening waters of the Mediterranean, so days spent basking in the rays and swimming in the sea are a given. In between sunbathing sessions, explore Protaras – sample Cypriot cuisine at the local restaurants, browse the trinkets at the souvenir shops or wander through Cape Greco National Forest Park in search of breathtaking views.

When you're not out and about, this contemporary seafront pad is the perfect place to kick back and relax. Make a splash in the crystal-clear pool, then sink into one of the lounge chairs, a cocktail in hand, and dry off in the sun. Another peaceful spot is the Roman-style courtyard, where you can listen to the trickle of the water feature as you curl up with a well-thumbed book. 

Of course, with vistas like that – and trust us, they're pretty spectacular – you'll want to make the most of them, inside and out. That's why we love the sliding glass doors. Seamlessly connecting the breezy living space with the deck, you'll be able to admire the rolling waves no matter what you're up to, be it cooking dinner in the kitchen, lounging on the sofa or sharing a bottle of wine around the dining table. Sounds dreamy, doesn't it?

A Star on the Water

Get a taste of coastal Cyprus living at this beautifully-appointed villa, perched right on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea. There's plenty of outdoor space – from the alfresco dining area to the covered terrace, sun loungers and private pool – the views speak for themselves. Being spread across two levels with sliding glass doors downstairs means there's lots of room indoors too. Location-wise, you're a two-minute stroll from Fig Tree Bay beach, while the resort town of Protaras, filled with lively bars, tavernas and shops is a short walk from your villa – perfect for evenings out. 

Deja Blue

Sunrise Beach is a ten-minute walk from this home, putting you in a prime spot for exploring Protaras. Restaurants, bars, and shops are also nearby – although we still suggest a car if you plan to adventure further afield. A private swimming pool awaits back at the villa, as do a roof terrace and an alfresco dining area. Sleek and modern, the design won't suit guests looking for a lot of character. That said, we're big fans of the breezy living space, which effortlessly embraces indoor-outdoor living. 

Surfing the Waves

Set just a five-minute amble from Fig Tree Bay, voted one of the world's best beaches, the setting of this home is hard to beat. Part of a gated villa community, what this contemporary home lacks in character more than makes up for with practicality and space. The free-flowing living areas and covered alfresco terraces around the dazzling private pool are prime for socialising and barbecues. Fancy a night off cooking?
