Set in Arties, a picturesque town in the Pyrenees, this charming wood, slate and stone house is the perfect mountain retreat. Arties is one of the most beautiful villages in the Aran Valley. There are several family run restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of the house. For a spot of culture, the magnificent eleventh century Santa Maria Church is a six-minute walk from the house.

In the winter months, the Baqueira/Beret ski resort is seven kilometres away. It’s widely acknowledged to be Spain’s best ski resort, with 167km of pistes. After hitting the slopes, head to one of the lively apres-ski spots in the area, or come home to Arties for tapas and wine, before taking a relaxing bubble bath and curling up by the fire.
