Admittedly, this building in the Norfolk village of Crimplesham is slightly less spectacular than the London museum, but there are still double-height ceilings and a large staircase upon entrance for a touch of grandeur.

Built back in the mid-nineteenth century, this Grade-II listed house in Stamford is a real looker from the outside, thanks to its slate roof, coursed stone walls and a white clock face at the very top of the property. The interior is just as handsome, although perhaps a little more modern than might be anticipated.
