Set within a lakeside holiday estate in West Dorset, this two-level home is all about taking advantage of the great outdoors on its doorstep. Communal access to the on-site heated swimming pool, spa and restaurant ensure plenty of relaxing downtime, while the gym, tennis courts, children’s playground and array of watersports on offer are on hand for when you wish to ramp up the activity level. The holiday site also boasts access to a beach where you can while away sunny hours on the sands. And after a fun-filled day, there’s no better way to end the evening than with an alfresco meal on the private patio, followed by a glass of wine by the living room’s fire. 


The Dorset Rose

Set on a luxury private estate in a nature reserve, this home is an ideal retreat. The Jurassic Coast is a short drive away, or take full advantage of the resort's communal facilities. There’s a heated infinity pool, a spa, a gym, and a rooftop bar. Additionally, there's a tennis court, table tennis, a forest playground, cycling trails, woodland walks, and a lakeside beach, all contributing to the perfect getaway. The home also features a private garden. Inside, there’s one thing to note – bedroom three has bunk beds and the top bunk is only suitable for a child. The accommodation spans two levels, and we especially love the log burner in the open-plan living room, adding to the cosy atmosphere.

Lakes & Beaches

On a holiday resort in the Dorset countryside, this home is tailor-made for a memorable break with family or friends. The large terrace overlooks the lawn down to your private jetty on the lakeside, which offers opportunities for watersports. There's also a large alfresco dining area with a barbecue – though the prospect of freshly-cooked pizza at the seasonal pizza shack might be hard to ignore. If you feel like a bit of pampering, head to the spa, or explore your surroundings with a bike ride. While there's more than enough to entertain you at the resort, it's just a twenty-minute drive to the beach at Lulworth Cove.

Harbour Estate

This stylish lakefront escape makes the most of its setting. Set on a luxury private estate within an extensive nature reserve, it's all sweeping countryside views and laid-back luxury. The open-plan kitchen and living space is perfect for entertaining, flowing seamlessly onto a generous garden with outdoor dining, comfy seating and a BBQ. Or, if you'd prefer a change of scenery, Weymouth is just thirty minutes away.

West Dorset Wonders

Situated on a holiday park in West Dorset, this family-friendly home overlooks the lake and provides comfortable spaces for the whole group to kick back and relax. Outside, there’s a large deck with lounge seating and although there isn’t an alfresco dining table, the kitchen diner’s sliding doors open wide for an indoor-outdoor living experience. Guests staying here have access to a range of communal amenities, from forest playgrounds to a spa. And if you’d like to explore a little, rent bicycles for a ride around the surrounding area or jump in the car and take the twelve-minute drive to Eweleaze Beach.

Ivy & Sage

If you’re looking to experience the magic of the English countryside, this 17th-century thatched cottage delivers the perfect solution. Nestled in the little town of Winfrith, it’s just a five-minute drive to the Jurassic Coast and some of the most beautiful spots in Dorset. There’s also a village shop and a pub within walking distance and you’ll find private parking alongside the cottage. Inside, the rooms are cosy, classic and full of charm. There’s a fireplace in the living room along with board games for relaxing evenings at home. You’ll also have access to a little garden with a barbecue for warm weather days. 

Rose of the Heart

Looking to connect with nature? This West Dorset home, set on a bustling lakeside estate, is just the ticket. The large garden offers direct access to the resort's sculpture garden, while a balcony makes the ideal perch for a coffee in the sunshine. Inside, the breezy living space is kitted out with modern conveniences, including a log burner for chilly evenings. When you're ready to kick things up a notch, why not discover the communal facilities at your fingertips? From a shared heated pool and gym access to a jetty ideal for paddleboarding and kayaking, there's plenty to keep you busy.

The Dorset Hare

This picturesque, Grade II-listed cottage set within the grounds of a 19th-century mansion is full of surprises. Designed by eminent architect Benjamin Ferrey, it features characterfully towering chimney stacks and a charming redbrick facade. So far, so traditional. But step inside and we think you'll do a double-take. The interior is a contemporary design haven, with bold colour choices (we love the lavender dresser in the living room and the playful candy-coloured chairs in the kitchen) and stunning modern artwork (say hello to Michael Caine as you sashay through the kitchen). Large windows let light flood right in, and make every colour pop in a joyful way. There are thoughtful, almost-kitsch touches everywhere you look - the neon disco ball cocktail glasses on the gilded drinks trolly, the flamingo leg table lamp in the kitchen, the silver graffiti slogan on the royal-blue dresser in the master bedroom and the cute zebra-print cushions in the twin room. And it's not often we say the downstairs loo is a real highlight in a home, but check out this one with the retro cassette wallpaper and you'll see what we mean. The home's private terrace is the perfect place to give those disco glasses a whirl (might we suggest a Mai-Tai?), and the enormous, immaculate shared gardens are waiting to be explored. Set in the heart of the Dorset countryside, the dramatic Jurassic Coast is about 30 minutes away, and the magnificent cathedral city of Dorchester about a 20-minute drive.

Chimney Stack

This family-friendly home in West Dorset is a true gem for adventure-seekers, with plenty of communal amenities, including a heated infinity pool, a spa, tennis courts and water sports. Plus, at the property, you’ll find a private jetty and an EV charging point. Views of the lake and Wakeling Island are to be enjoyed from the abode’s enclosed decking area and first-floor balcony, or if the weather’s not on your side, the living area is a comfortable place to relax, thanks to the log-burning stove. 

Dorset Daze

This lakeside home gives guests direct access to the waterfront and private jetty from which to soak it all up. Set on a picturesque holiday park in West Dorset, it's not every day you get to wake up to views like this. You'll also have access to the on-site gym, swimming pool and spa. Meanwhile, water sports on the lake will be available during peak season. Sitting on a fantastic complex on the beautiful Beaumont Lake in Dorset, this home is ideally placed for exploring the Dorset AONB, which includes some great seaside spots such as Durdle Door.
