Head to nearby Porto Heli to set sail on summer boat trips or savour a wine tasting at a local vineyard. Or drive an hour to ancient Epidavros for a guided tour of its historic ruins.

Heavenly Getaway

Tucked away on the island of Kea, this villa is one of three properties on the complex, located in the area of Akrotiri Otzia. Surrounded by serene natural beauty and an infinity of blue, from here, you'll get to lap up sparkling sea views from the moment you arrive. 

The picturesque terrace boasts a private swimming pool, plenty of comfy seating areas, sun loungers and a grand alfresco dining area under a shaded pergola. Meanwhile, the villa's interiors nod to the harmonious white and blue colour palette often seen in the Cyclades. In addition, natural materials such as stone and wood create a laid-back ambience offering a constant reminder of your stunning Greek island location. 

With direct access to the sea (if you follow the stairs leading to a small bay with pebbles), you'll have the sun, sea and oh-so-majestic views at your fingertips here. Note that a car is recommended here if you’d like to explore the island and reach the neighbouring towns of Korisia and Vourkari.

There’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out here, but it’s the outdoor space we think will draw people together. A private, heated pool, sun-kissed terraces, far-reaching views of the Saronic Gulf and multiple alfresco dining opportunities – what’s not to love? When you’re ready to explore, a mere ten-minute walk takes you to Spetses, the harbour, and a plethora of eateries.

Spetsian Splendour

Though the idea of being secluded on an island might not ordinarily conjure up a romantic image, this home on a Greek private island is quite the opposite. Located in the Cyclades, the estate stretches across 900 acres, enabling you and the rest of the group to rejuvenate in a picturesque and tranquil setting. 

Spend mornings meditating on the jetty before enjoying a cup of coffee with an alfresco breakfast. With plenty of outdoor seating options, there’s one perfect to every situation – stealing away for a romantic drink overlooking the water, reading with your feet in the sand of your private beach, or playing board games with a drink in hand. 

Inside you’ll glimpse elements of Cycladic architecture throughout the home, especially in the master bedroom, where the fireplace sits proudly. Though the crisp white colour palette and natural elements found around the house is lovely, the natural beauty outside is hard to compete with. If you wish to explore it in greater detail, you can utilise several cycling and walking routes or take to the waters by boat if you’d like to go further afield. For an even more unique experience, why not join a fisherman on his boat for the day? 

Engaged couples might also be won over by the private chapel and make the island their wedding destination. 

The Sunny Islander

Located atop a rocky bar of Koundouros, this home is made up of independent lower and upper levels, each with their own kitchen and living areas. Outside, the terrace is well-equipped for soaking up the sun or alfresco dining, with lovely sea views and private sea access on the rock platforms below. Things might be a bit of a squeeze at full capacity, so you'll want to pack light. A ten-minute walk will bring you to the nearest sandy beaches of Koundouros, and you'll find beach bars, tavernas and water sports.

Turquoise Charm

Art Deco aficionados will adore this home on the Athenian riviera. Designed by a French architect in the 1930s, the special house has been modernised over the years but is still rich in original features. From the grand oak staircase to the terrazzo tiles in the hallway, it's a visual feast for nostalgic travellers.

And there's more to see in the gardens – that's right, there are two gardens. On the east side, you'll find a sun lounger-fringed swimming pool as well as a peaceful veranda. The west garden is home to a flourishing orange tree, which provides shade for the six-person dining table. Grill up a storm on the barbecue and spend all evening outdoors.

History buffs can't leave this area without visiting the Temple of Apollo at Corinth, fifteen minutes away by car. The limestone structure is perched on a rocky hill with views over the ancient city. But even closer to home, there are plenty of beaches, shops and tavernas to meet all of your holiday needs – you'll likely hear the Loutraki Waterfalls whispering as you stroll around the village.

The Greek Gatsby

Although this home's location on the Athenian Riveria means that there's a colossal amount to see and do nearby, the villa itself feels perfectly secluded — the sort of place where you can glide through the swimming pool, soak up the sunshine on a lounger or cook up a storm on the barbecue with nary a distraction.

The interior is typically Mediterranean in style, with tiled flooring, white walls and large glass windows to maximise upon the plentiful amounts of natural light. That being said, there are a few design touches that add a little luxury, such as the sculpture collection and glass dining table.

If you're partial to a day at the seaside, you're in luck — Limani Passa and the 500-metre long Pountazeza take ten and fifteen minutes to reach on foot respectively. The Temple of Poseidon is an eleven-minute drive down the coastline, as well.

You don't have to worry about missing out on the sights just because you're not in the central city, but you also don't have to worry about falling into a tourist trap in this private little patch of paradise, either.

Saccharine Sunset

This apartment on the Athenian Riviera is perfect for foodies. Located in the town of Vouliagmeni, known for its eateries, you’ll find everything from traditional tavernas to gourmet restaurants within a short drive. And for beach lovers, the golden sands of Kavouri are just a three-minute stroll away. While the home’s contemporary decor won’t be to everyone’s tastes, with a private Jacuzzi, shaded alfresco terrace, and sociable indoor dining space it has plenty to offer. And if you fancy a day trip to the capital, Athens is within easy reach.

The Serenity of the Sun

Perched on a hilltop skirting the fishing village of Kilada, this villa is a bright and contemporary way to explore the historic Peloponnese. Visit the ancient Greek city of Mycenae or watch a theatrical performance in the Epidavros. Closer to home, you'll spot fish taverns and cafes, but with Doroufi and Vrochitsa both only 400m away, the beach might be your first stop. This sleek apartment is within walking distance of the Athens coast, with great sea views. While the minimalist design might not be for everyone, the location is ideal for those who don't want to be in the centre of the city. The outdoor seating is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine at sunset and offers unobstructed views of the Aegean sea. You'll want a car for heading into central Athens, but it's an easy walk to restaurants, cafes, and the sandy Yabanaki beach.
