Nestled in gardens of lush pine and cork trees, this contemporary villa is where you can shed thoughts of the daily grind and embrace a slower pace of life. You'll have everything you need to while away the days – you won’t even have to leave. But if you start to get itchy feet, you’re close to the paradisiacal village of Comporta and its pristine beaches, surfing spots, and beachfront restaurants. Just hop on the bikes and explore.

Modern and striking, the gorgeous interior just about competes with the beauty of the outdoors. All rooms open up to the garden to let the fresh air in. Even the games room is bright and cosy – a welcoming space for good-spirited games of table football, or letting the kids entertain themselves with the games console. 

That said, we imagine you’ll spend most of your time making the most of the 8.5 hectares that this villa sits on. Start off your mornings with coffee in the early sunshine, then dabble in a spot of yoga in the garden. If you want to get out and explore, beeline for Alfarim and Meco beaches with the home’s stand-up paddle board and kayak in tow (just seven minutes in the car), or discover the natural seawater lagoons of Lagoa de Albufeira (a ten-minute drive) or spend the day in the seaside town of Sesimbra to admire the pristine white sands be spoilt with a choice of seafood restaurants (a twenty-five-minute car ride).

Out here, the hours whittle away while you’re relaxing on the sun loungers, taking a dip in the heated pool, catching up on your book on the bean bags, and taking in the scenery. When lunchtime rolls around, grill up a feast of local produce on the barbecue and gather around the pergola-covered bench-style dining table. 

Inside lends itself to any occasion, with the huge windows flooding the home with natural light and the scent of crisp pine hanging in the air. But in the evenings, the fireplace and warm-toned lighting make for wonderful cosy nights spent watching films. And with stylish yet comfortable bedrooms, all of which lead out to the garden, and super sleek bathrooms, the villa continues to impress.

When you want to get out and explore this beautiful slice of Portugal, you’re just 5km from the closest beach and its surfing spots, beachfront restaurants, and sugary white sand. Found to the south of Comporta, this stunningly designed and furnished villa is perfect for families and friend groups seeking an idyllic coastal retreat. The home flows elegantly from living room to dining area to kitchen, each of which is bright, expansive, and fully equipped. The four bedrooms are just as comfortable, with two sharing a bathroom from either side and one downstairs triple room ideal for any younger guests who don't mind sharing. The heated pool area is stunning, more for aesthetic relaxation than morning lengths, while the adjoining alfresco dining table is one of many outdoor areas on the premises that are great for unwinding with a book and a beverage. If you have a day trip in mind, you can also reach the local beach in around fifteen minutes by car.

Comporta Pimenta

Sit back, relax, and soak up the sun at this Portuguese villa. It has everything you need to feel at home – including a large open-plan living area, an outdoor ping-pong table, and a dazzling swimming pool where you can float the afternoon away. Consider yourself a sporty type? You'll have access to a nearby tennis court and golf course, too. Lisbon is a thirty-five-minute drive away and ideal for a day trip. That said, with the beautiful beaches of Costa da Caparica five minutes by car, we reckon most of your time will be spent on the sand.
