Prepare to have your breath taken away at this stunning coastal home, a six-minute drive from the town of Colares. In an elevated position, it's been designed to make the most of its epic sea views. Between its excellent amenities and the beach a short walk away, you'll be set up for a wonderful and relaxing stay. Start by taking a dip in one of your two pools – the infinity pool has spectacular views – and later move on to a game of football or tennis in your private court. Cook indoors or use the summer kitchen outside, barbecue some local fish and enjoy meals late into the night on the impressive terrace. We love the lived-in feel here, with eclectic art and comfortable furnishings. Many of the rooms have distractingly good views – none more so than the bedrooms on the top floor, where you can step out onto a balcony each morning and look out to sea. And youngsters are far from forgotten either. There's a play area indoors, with all sorts of toys and games, and outside you'll find a grassed playground. Grab your buckets and spades and there's a choice of beaches within a twenty-minute drive, along with beachside restaurants and bars.

Blue Eternal

Set within a pine-filled resort near Setúbal, this house is built around the garden – a generous, sheltered retreat with a deck made for long alfresco dinners as dusk settles in. Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows pull the greenery into every room, and the living room fireplace makes it just as inviting when the evening cools. The main suite upstairs has a private balcony and a Jacuzzi bath for whenever you want to slow down entirely. When you're ready to venture out, Setúbal is an hour by car, while Praia Tróia Mar is even closer for beach days.

A Taste of Tróia

In the picturesque heart of Comporta, this home welcomes you to slow down and enjoy the magic of outdoor living. From the heated pool and the stunning views to the thoughtfully designed rooms, every detail has been considered to inspire ease and relaxation. You can sit back and soak it all in from the terrace or the cosy living room. There’s a fire for cooler evenings and all the essentials you could need to settle in and make it your own. And when it comes to explorations further afield, it’s just 4-kilometres to the nearest beach, while the nearest amenities are also just a short drive away.

Heaven is a Place

A heated pool beneath a slatted pergola, a barbecue terrace for long alfresco evenings, and the emerald rice paddies of Carvalhal on your doorstep – this villa earns its place as a proper summer retreat. The bright, sociable living space keeps everyone together when you're not outside, and air conditioning ensures you return from the day's adventures to somewhere cool. Comporta Beach's wild Atlantic shoreline is a forty-minute walk, but you'll find the village centre, its cafes, and the local supermarket far closer – reachable on foot or by borrowed bike.

Green to Blue

A saltwater pool with wooden decking sits at the heart of this villa, open countryside stretching out beyond the fenced gardens – the kind of view that makes it easy to lose an entire afternoon. High ceilings and large sliding openings dissolve the boundary between the living and dining area and the covered terraces outside, so evenings shift naturally from long meals to cooler nights by the fireplace. Comporta Beach's wild Atlantic shoreline is a thirty-four-minute walk, and the Carvalhal rice fields and birdwatching wetlands are even closer for a golden-hour wander.

Between the Dunes

A luxurious retreat awaits at this home nestled in the heart of Comporta. Set across three independent homes, the rooms perfectly embody laidback elegance and effortless style. There are seven peaceful bedrooms and a generous living room and kitchen for social gatherings. Outside, you’ll find optimum relaxation while lounging by the private pool and soaking in the stunning views. There’s also a tennis court and a serene terrace with a barbecue for alfresco dining. You will need a car (or bikes) to get around here, but it’s just a short drive to the nearest beaches and amenities.

The Spirit of Joy

Pine trees rise above the long pool terrace, and the sense of seclusion here is total – this is a villa that earns its calm rather than just claiming it. Inside, high ceilings and generous openings draw the forest light deep into the living space, where a fireplace waits for cooler evenings. On warm nights, a thatched canopy shelters the alfresco dining area, with a kitchen built to feed a crowd. Beyond the plot, the Sado River Estuary brings flamingos and bottlenose dolphins within reach, while Alcácer do Sal Castle's ancient hilltop ramparts offer sweeping views across the river below.

Wild Comporta

Located in a quiet spot, surrounded by trees, you’ll feel like you’ve got away from it all here. With a private pool, alfresco dining terrace, and outdoor seating area, this home is perfectly set up for enjoying a laidback, Mediterranean lifestyle. And if you’re craving a pastel de nata or want to stock up on Portuguese wine, you’ll find restaurants and a supermarket just a short stroll away. Little ones will love the sandy beach, a one-kilometre walk from the villa, and for golf enthusiasts, the nearest course is a seven-kilometre drive.

Beachcomber Blues

A stay in this magazine-worthy home could be your very own Portuguese nature retreat. The home is spread over three cabanas, all connected via a wooden walkway. The natural interiors and exteriors match the forest surroundings, and there's plenty of outside seating to maximise your time spent out in the fresh air, including a dining table on the shaded terrace. If the private swimming pool, terrace and garden weren't enough, the sandy Pego beach, shops and restaurants are a short drive away.

A Tranquil Retreat

With idyllic countryside views, this home offers the perfect setting for a rustic retreat. From here you can enjoy blissful days relaxing by the private heated pool. There’s a shaded terrace and a barbecue for alfresco dining. Inside, the cosy living room features a fireplace for cooler days, while the bedrooms make it easy to switch off and unwind. Daily housekeeping is included in your stay (excluding Sunday) and there’s a range of extra services available – including yoga sessions and local guides. And for explorations further afield it’s just a short walk to the nearest restaurant, while the nearest beach is just 4-kilometres away.

Love Serenade

On the wild shores of Portugal’s Atlantic coast, the region of Comporta boasts golden sand dunes, abundant pine forests and miles of spectacular scenery. It’s also renowned for its signature small thatched cabanas – crafted with locally sourced wood and grasses from the riverbanks. And this home (just a short walk from the beach) perfectly embodies this rich tradition of craftsmanship and heritage.

Consisting of multiple buildings nestled amongst the trees, the owners have designed this space to honour the unique spirit of its surroundings, whilst adding a range of luxurious features. From the art and objects to the natural tones and textures, every detail inspires a wonderful sense of calm.

Enjoy relaxing by the fire in the large open-plan living and dining room, savour delicious meals prepared by your private chef and experience total serenity in the elegant bedrooms (each with its own bathroom). Follow the views outside and you’ll find the garden welcoming you to wander through the trees and savour a refreshing dip in the pool. And with multiple seating areas, this is the perfect setting for magical sunset drinks and barbecue meals that linger long into the evening.

However you choose to spend your time here, every moment promises to be enriched by the natural beauty of this location.

Golden Earth

An idyllic retreat just a seven-minute walk from Pego Beach, this home is as relaxing as it looks. It's surrounded by the Comporta Nature Reserve and offers plenty of scenic spots to while away the afternoon. The private pool is a real highlight, as is the outdoor terrace where alfresco feasts are sure to be on the itinerary. With a thatched roof, white-washed façade, and vaulted ceilings, it has a charm about it that's hard to resist. Factor in daily housekeeping and easy access for exploring, and we think you'll be smitten as we are.
