Sitting on Borgo San Jacopo in the heart of the Oltrarno, this apartment puts you three-minutes from Ponte Vecchio and well within reach of the Uffizi and Piazza della Signoria. The building is historic Florentine, and the high ceilings in the living room carry that sense of scale through the whole stay. An internal staircase separates the sleeping area from the living zone, and both double bedrooms face the inner courtyard – remarkably quiet given how central the address is. The Oltrarno's craftsmen, wine bars, and lived-in streets are right outside the door.

Home truths

  • There is no lift in this historic building. You'll climb two flights of stairs from street level to reach the apartment, and then navigate an internal staircase up and down to reach the bedrooms. It may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility.

  • The apartment sits above a bar, so expect noise from below on most evenings into the small hours. If you're sleeping in the living room on the sofa bed, early-morning street traffic can also be audible – light sleepers may want to bring earplugs.

  • This host collects tourist tax separately from your booking payment. 7 days before check-in, your host will send you a link to pay the tax.

  • At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.

  • There’s no air conditioning here, so if you’re visiting during the summer months and are sensitive to the heat, this home may not be for you.
