Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

The Adaline isn’t the most mesmerising home in our collection, but it’s located on a typical Schöneberg street lined with stunning pre-war buildings. This two-bedroom home used to be a shop, which explains the storefront-like entrance in the master bedroom. Even though it’s not super stylish, it’s got some Altbau charm with high ceilings and ornate stucco.

Home truths

Tall people be aware - the shower is only 190 cm tall

When we visited, we noticed some scuff marks on the walls

It’s a ground floor flat, so don’t expect expansive views of Berlin’s skyline

The fake plants are not to everyone’s taste

Even though there’s a door to the yard, the host has decided that guests are not allowed access to it

The communal area is located inside the master bedroom - and it doesn’t have enough space for all four guests to sit comfortably

The layout is a bit awkward - you enter the home via the master bedroom

Functional solutions have been prioritised over design

About Schöneberg

Located south-west of Mitte, Schöneberg is a characterful part of the old West Berlin with wide, tree-lined boulevards and varied architecture. Since the early 20th century, Schöneberg has been the heart of Berlin’s LGBTQ+ community with the area around Nollendorfplatz being particularly important. Since 1993,...
