Perched right on the edge of Big Bear Lake with 100 feet of private shoreline, this timber house earns its place through sheer setting. The wraparound first-floor deck gives you 180-degree lake views, a barbecue, and a hot tub to sink into as snow-dusted mountains fill the horizon – morning, evening, it doesn't really matter. Inside, the vaulted living space doubles as a games room with a pool table, and the kitchen is built for feeding a crowd. Holloway's Marina is an eight-minute walk, and Bear Mountain Resort is roughly a nineteen-minute drive when the slopes call.

If you're visiting between November and March, California state law requires all vehicles to carry snow chains in the car.
Lake levels at Big Bear can vary seasonally, and the dock here may be beached depending on when you visit – so don't count on being able to moor a boat directly from the home.
The kayaks you might spot on site aren't available for guest use, so if paddling on the lake is on your itinerary, you'll want to arrange a rental elsewhere – Holloway's Marina is a short walk away.
You'll need to take your rubbish to the local dumpsite yourself during your stay, in line with Big Bear City policy.
Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. There's parking on site for up to four cars, which is handy given you'll need a vehicle to reach the ski slopes and most local amenities.
