This part of Schöneberg isn’t the liveliest, but The Liselotte is very well-connected to the rest of Berlin. A great base for exploring the city (in particular if you’re a family or a larger group of friends), it has all the amenities you need – plus several balconies. We love how bright and airy some of the bedrooms are, which is especially great if you’re looking for a comfortable night’s sleep.

Home truths

Aside from the kitchen, there aren’t really any communal spaces in this home

The design is slightly lacking in character

Bedroom four and five overlook another building, so they don’t get a lot of natural light

Sadly, the immediate location isn’t super lively – it’s well-connected though (busses and trains)

The walls could do with a lick of paint to cover up the scuff marks

We noticed a hole in the floor next to the window in the kitchen – the host knows about this
