Now, where to begin? This home is a real gem. Located in an old jelly factory by the Spree (the views are amazing), it’s a must if you want to stay somewhere special. Arthur is an architect – his love of the craft and the building’s rich history is evident in the beautiful renovation. He also collects photography and you’ll be able to see some curated examples throughout the home. If that’s not enough for you, it’s also located in Kreuzberg, a neighbourhood known for its lively atmosphere and abundance of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.

Home truths

The second bathroom is split into two – WC and bath are in separate rooms

Bedroom two is only separated from the living area by a curtain – this might not be to everyone's taste

This home is on the ground floor, so the hosts asks you to close the heavy roller blinds in the room facing the courtyard when you leave the home

The main bedroom overlooks a courtyard – there's a chance you might see a neighbour or two through the window, so it doesn't feel completely private

The terrace of this home is shared with the building's other residents

You won't find a manual or handbook for this home, but your host should be on hand if you have any issues

There is no dryer in this home

Host

This home is managed by Arthur

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Arthur is an architect and art collector (he displays a lot of photography in his homes). A couple of years ago, he found an old, abandoned jelly factory facing the Spree – and decided to convert it into living units, an exhibition space, and a working studio. He lives in the building, too.
