With the sight of Old West-style Pioneertown just a 10-minute drive from your next desert hideaway, and just a little further from Yucca Valley, this home delivers the seclusion you crave without compromising on having some local services nearby – should you ever need to pop to the general store. Unashamedly modern, it's all about steel, wood and pure-white walls, for that industrial-chic look and an overall design which allows the surroundings to shine. There are huge windows on every side so you can can enjoy the desert landscape comfortably from inside, although 120 acres of it – rocks, dust and cacti included – is just for you, should you fancy feeling the dry desert heat on your skin. A short wander takes you to the outdoor spa – a hot tub and cowboy-style steel bath in the folds of the landscape. But before you settle into the water for a stargazing session, there's a gas barbecue and alfresco dining setting that's just perfect for a feast under the evening sky.
