Vetted by our experts
Escape to this remote studio sanctuary and reconnect with mother nature. This is more than just an unpretentious cabin in the desert – this is a home that invites you to let go of life's complications and to instead find your roots in nature and embrace the bear necessities – pretty much in keeping with the Joshua Tree area surrounding it. The highlight of this home is, of course, soaking in the granite bathtub with water supplied from the mineral-rich hot spring. Take this moment to absorb the water's healing properties and nourish your body. Staying here is also about spending days and nights on the porch, breathing in the clean air with sunrise stretches, daily meditation and stargazing in...

Staying in Joshua Tree National Park
Drive a couple of hours east of Los Angeles, and you’re in a different world. Nowhere is that more apparent than Joshua Tree with its many artist residences, rugged rock formations, and stark desert landscapes. Named after the twisted, bristled Joshua Tree, a stay in this little Mojave desert community is synonymous with art exhibitions, beautiful night skies, hikes, delicious food, and plenty of hours lounging about in aesthetically pleasing surroundings.

Home truths
What the photos might not tell you, but we do
There is no TV and the WiFi is limited, so guests should be prepared to go somewhat off–grid for their stay
We suggest guests bring groceries on arrival as the home is remote and a thirty–minute drive from the town of Joshua Tree – Uber does operate in the area should you need a taxi, although this is not a home for guests who want to be in the heart of the action
To get here, you'll need to drive down a dirt road
Pets are welcome but must be quiet and come at an additional cost
The property's water is sourced from natural springs rather than the water grid, therefore its pressure is changeable
As this is a studio home, the bed is part of the living space
