Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Sitting on five acres of land with no immediate neighbours, this homesteader cabin sets the scene for seclusion, creativity, and connection with the land. It’s a great base from which you can explore the wilderness. If you don’t feel like hiking, we recommend getting comfortable on the terrace and taking in the beautiful 360-degree views of the High Desert, boulders, and rocky hills. At night, the private patio off the bedroom is the perfect spot for stargazing. Built in 1958, it was renovated in 2015. Inside, you’ll find a vibrant collection of art and textiles from local artists and designers – many of whom are friends of your host – vintage mid-century modern furniture, books, and family heirlooms. You're just two miles from Joshua Tree and Joshua Tree National Park, and a short drive from plenty of eateries, art galleries, and shops where you can find handmade, unique pieces.
