Set a few meters from the lake, this spacious and comfortable home in the Finnish wilderness is the perfect place to reset and enjoy spending time with family and friends. This quiet, sun-filled spot is surrounded by nature, but you have everything you need in this contemporary cabin, including a full kitchen, ample dining room and a huge U-shaped sofa. It may be peaceful, but you certainly won't be bored. Younger children will love playing on the swings and the lakeside beach, while the older kids can get competitive with the badminton set. The rowing boat or kayak will take you out onto the lake, where all you can hear is the lapping of water and birdsong in the trees. Back on dry land, enjoy lunch on your private terrace with unending views, or take a sauna, Finnish style, with a wood-fired stove. Evenings are made for stargazing from the hot tub, you may even be lucky enough to enjoy a light show, courtesy of the Aurora Borealis. The nearest town is just 4.5km away for those forgotten essentials and there's a National Park, with lakes and walking trails, 12km from the cabin.
