This home is pure cabin-in-the-woods style on the edge of Big Bear Lake town. Shops, restaurants and all the lakeside activities of the town are a ten-minute walk away, while the walking trails into the mountains are on your doorstep, and the Snow Summit Ski Resort is a five-minute drive. Vaulted wooden ceilings elevate rooms from cabin-cosiness to grand spaces, and we love the stained-glass details in the skylights. The living area is an open-plan space filled with books and games for nights in by the fire. A second living room provides a secluded space with a piano for those musically inclined and there’s a wood-burning stove and record player by the breakfasting table if you want to sit up playing board games long into the evening. Outside, you’ll find our favourite spot – the gazebo with alfresco dining set up. Here you can also enjoy a game of table tennis or cornhole in the shade of ancient pine trees.
