Perched on the banks of Lake Jerojärvi, this cabin is the very embodiment of rustic cosiness. Even if the temperature takes a plummet outside, it's easy to picture evenings spent next to the crackling log-burning stove or sitting in the sauna. When the sun makes an appearance, however, you can make the most of the seating on the terrace or the balcony, both blessed with peaceful vistas of the water. Given that it looks pretty similar to many of the homes in the local area, it might surprise you to learn that the home was only built in 2022, but a closer inspection will reveal that there's a contemporary sheen to all the furnishings and fittings, especially the sleek kitchen. As well as being pleasing to the eye, there of plenty of ways to explore the local landscape. The host has standup paddleboards and rowing boats available to rent that are ideal for seeing a little more of the lake, while you can also borrow fatbikes or go on guided horseback rides in the neighbouring Koli National Park.
