There are times when you want to blow the bank on a holiday home and there are other occasions when you're after something a little more modest. This Antalya apartment falls within the latter camp but it goes to show that you don't have to lower your expectations too far. The design is bright and welcoming, thanks to a generous amount of natural light and stark white walls, but a few choice mementoes, house plants and some pretty tiling add some personality. The small kitchen might mean that homecooked meals might have to be a little less ambitious, but there's enough equipment and space for simple dinners. Besides, there's a good selection of restaurants in Antalya's Old Town, which is just over fifteen minutes' drive away. There are also museums and shops aplenty on these cobbled streets, as well as the sandy Mermerli Plajı. Don't despair if you can't secure a lounger — there are a whole host of beaches nearby, including Antalya Konyaaltı Plaj a quarter of an hour away by car.
