To put it simply, this home is stunning. It’s perched on top of a hill just a short walk from downtown Kalkan, and boasts mesmerising views of the Mediterranean Sea and nearby islands. The glittering blue seascape can be enjoyed from almost every angle of this magnificent villa. 

As you approach the villa and take in the view, you’ll smell the flowers in the garden. The land is also home to countless palm, banana, grape and olive trees, all vying for attention in the pretty setting. The heated infinity pool stretches out towards the sea, and is where we’d be spending most of our time. After an early-morning dip, you might lie out in the sun for an hour or two, before moving into the shade of the outdoor lounge. Sip cocktails while drinking in the view, and plan the rest of your day. 

Will you have lunch outside, or move into the cool confines of the stylish villa? The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking a breeze, and the barbecue is perfect for alfresco feasting. 

This home is bright and welcoming, with enough room for a large group, including two kitchens and living areas, each with their own entrance and terrace. The table tennis and darts board always prove popular, whether you’re travelling with friends or as a family. There are quiet corners too, so you can always slip away for a moment of romance. Located in the quiet, tiny village of Kınalı, you’re a far cry from daily life. It’s a time machine back to the days of Turkey gone by, with old artefacts, Ottoman touches, a gorgeous rustic dining table, and a traditional Turkish barbecue. You’ll find your low-slung villa is a ten-minute drive from the centre, tucked inside the hillside, overlooking the glittering Lycian coast. When you’re not sunning yourself on the shores of Kalkan Beach, you’ll be dipping in and out of your private infinity pool, napping on a lounger or setting the alfresco dining table in preparation for a tasty Turkish feast. 

Inside, washes of white paint and polished marble floors keep the living space breezy and bright feature walls in the bedrooms ensure you start the day with a pep in your step. Sitting pretty on the hillside in charming Faralya village, this family-friendly villa is contemporary and very Mediterranean. The landscaped gardens, multiple outdoor lounging and dining spaces – as well as an impressive outdoor kitchen – mean that you'll likely find us outside, and most probably sipping a drink and admiring the uninterrupted sea view from the infinity pool. We love the sense of privacy that you feel at Begonvil, laying across four acres of land and completely unseen from the outside. The villa is also only 300 metres from the beach, where you can unwind on the sand with your favourite book or go snorkelling, although be warned that's it's easier to walk down than back up the hill.

Marvel at the sea view as you step out onto the terrace first thing in the morning, coffee in hand, and appreciate the quiet tranquillity on offer here. Located in the quiet residential area of Kiziltas, you'll be less than a ten-minute drive from the centre of Kalkan, undoubtedly one of Turkey's most beautiful harbour towns. You'll find many fabulous rooftop bars, eateries, beach clubs and shopping opportunities here.

Situated in a charming village just outside the town of Fethiye, Starfish Shack is surrounded by a serene and tranquil setting - offering a truly relaxing holiday escape. The charming dining table, sun terrace, lounge areas and pretty swimming pool ensure there are plenty of places to chill out and have fun in whilst enjoying the alfresco lifestyle. The different wood and stone varieties beautifully blend with splashes of colour and neutral tones to provide a home with tonnes of character and charm. We particularly liked the vintage geometric rugs and wonderful blue kitchen. Oh and let’s not forget about the garden views from the master terrace...you’ll struggle to find a more idyllic spot to sip your morning coffee. The main town and its local restaurants are a 15-minute drive away but several beaches and beach clubs can be found just a few minutes away. The region’s ancient sites and theatre make for an excellent day trip.

Cut above Kalkan’s cliffy heights, Gorselands is a little haven of luxury and style. Moments from the colour and buzz of downtown, it’s a welcome retreat from the heat and bustle. We love the indoor-outdoor flow of this home. It’s breezy and upbeat, setting the scene for informal living and entertainment. We can picture long, lazy lunches and barbecues as the sun softens over the hills. You always have a quiet nook for coffee and a read, but plenty of sociable living too. Selecting which lounger to go for will be about as taxing as it gets.
