To put it simply, this home is stunning. It’s perched on top of a hill just a short walk from downtown Kalkan, and boasts mesmerising views of the Mediterranean Sea and nearby islands. The glittering blue seascape can be enjoyed from almost every angle of this magnificent villa. 

As you approach the villa and take in the view, you’ll smell the flowers in the garden. The land is also home to countless palm, banana, grape and olive trees, all vying for attention in the pretty setting. The heated infinity pool stretches out towards the sea, and is where we’d be spending most of our time. After an early-morning dip, you might lie out in the sun for an hour or two, before moving into the shade of the outdoor lounge. Sip cocktails while drinking in the view, and plan the rest of your day. 

Will you have lunch outside, or move into the cool confines of the stylish villa? The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking a breeze, and the barbecue is perfect for alfresco feasting. 

This home is bright and welcoming, with enough room for a large group, including two kitchens and living areas, each with their own entrance and terrace. The table tennis and darts board always prove popular, whether you’re travelling with friends or as a family. There are quiet corners too, so you can always slip away for a moment of romance. The master suite even has a Jacuzzi, where you can sip Champagne as you watch the sun set in your own little haven.

Olive Tree Sunset

It’s said that perfection is something you strive for but never achieve, but nobody passed the message on to the designer of this stunning home in the coastal hills of Kalkan. For those who want it all, you’ve come to the right place – a modern and stylish villa where pure joy meets ultimate comfort. The inside of this home is immaculate – trendy yet warm, traditional yet refined. Perhaps nothing exemplifies this more than the bedroom suites with their luxurious beds, colourful accentuations, Jacuzzi baths, and private balconies all with sweeping views out to sea, creating the perfect start and end to every day.

If upstairs lulls you into a sense of relaxation, you’ll soon find that the open-plan ground floor is a social space that will energise anyone. Here, you can enjoy a bite to eat at the breakfast bar, unwind on the living room sofas, or slip seamlessly through broad glass doors to the extravagant pool patio and outdoor lounge where afternoons are spent swimming, basking in the sun, and barbecuing. The home cinema, indoor pool, and gym mean you never really have to leave. But the pristine local beaches with their crystal clear waters and the quaint town of Kalkan with its restaurants and cafes are certainly not to be missed.


The Right Way

Charming, unspoilt and steeped in history, the old fishing town of Kalkan is a knockout. You’ll find your low-slung villa is a ten-minute drive from the centre, tucked inside the hillside, overlooking the glittering Lycian coast. When you’re not sunning yourself on the shores of Kalkan Beach, you’ll be dipping in and out of your private infinity pool, napping on a lounger or setting the alfresco dining table in preparation for a tasty Turkish feast. 

Inside, washes of white paint and polished marble floors keep the living space breezy and bright feature walls in the bedrooms ensure you start the day with a pep in your step. Put the final touches to your itinerary at the breakfast bar then grab your sun hat and explore your surroundings. If you’re keen to expend some energy, Saklikent National Park is a forty-three-minute drive away but if you’d prefer to stay put, the Jacuzzi tub in the main bedroom is the perfect place to unwind and watch the sunset.  

Golden Tulip

This home is the perfect playground for young children, teenagers, and adults alike. From the spa and gym, to the game and cinema rooms, there’s something exciting to be found everywhere you look. The waterpark-worthy pool feeds into an inside pool, an explorable cave, a waterfall and two waterslides. And whilst the kids whizz down the slides, the adults can relax in the jacuzzi or sauna. If you need some respite from the heat, the glorious outdoor pavilion is decked out with colourful cushions, a traditional Turkish rug and a hammock, providing the perfect place to find peace.

The House Of Fun

With the Taurus Mountains above you and the Turkish Mediterranean coast down below, this peaceful home is ideally situated to explore both the coastline and the countryside in this unspoiled part of Turkey. Though just twenty minutes from Kalkan by foot, you'll feel far, far away from the hustle and bustle of the busy seaside town as the house has a tranquility and peace about it. Cool neutral tones, marbled floors and a monochrome colour palette feel fresh and modern, but the outside space really makes it special; a pergola, infinity pool and kosk - traditional Turkish seating - all, overlook the sea. 

Sky and Sea

Situated in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains overlooking Kalkan Bay is this contemporary and rejuvenating retreat. This home is the ideal base for the whole family to explore Turkey’s Lycian Coast. Wake to views of the glistening sea and step out from your very own balcony. Lounge by the pool, walk to the beach, and detox in the terrace jacuzzi. Rent a boat for the day to see the sunken ruins of Kekova island. For some local flavour, the villa is positioned within walking distance of the village of Kalkan with its restaurants, beach clubs, and artisan markets. Return home to enjoy the views of the bay from the dining terrace. 

Turkey Taurus

With sea views that span for miles and glass balconies to show them off, this villa is true coastal luxury. You'll most likely spend your whole holiday outside, relaxing on the day beds, dining on the terrace, or lounging on the sofas. Start your day with a workout in the gym, then cool off with a dip in the infinity pool. Keep the relaxation theme going with a cocktail on the balcony and watch the sun set over the ocean in the evening. When you fancy a change of pace, head into the cobbled streets of Kalkan, filled with cafes, restaurants, and designer boutiques. 

Turquoise Haven

With views of the med, the mountains, and Kalkan, it’s easy to see what drew our attention to this villa. We love the infinity pool and glass-fronted balconies that show off the magnificent vistas. And there’s just as much to enjoy inside too – like the sauna, hammam, and the games room for fun afternoons. If we had to pick one highlight, it’d have to be the in-bedroom Jacuzzi for breathtaking views while you bathe. It’s peaceful here, but you’re only a short drive from Kalkan’s beach clubs, harbour, and restaurants – you’ll need a car to tackle the hills, but the outlook is more than worth it.

Aqua Vista Villa

This home, at the foot of the Taurus Mountains, is a rather swanky getaway if you love swimming in wild lakes and sauntering along walking trails (you're right by the Lycian Way Trail). The home has some very notable details like the hot tub by the bedroom balcony, infinity pool, the dedicated sauna and gym and your personal hammam. Right at the heart of the village Islamlar, you can not only try local trout-farm restaurants but explore olive groves and vineyards that set this region on the traveler's map. With gorgeous beaches and 'gulet' trips to nearby islands, there are a fair number of day-trips to choose from as well.

Pistachio Delight

Home views of the Kalkan Harbour and scores of facilities designed for boundless comfort equals the true meaning of a Turkish delight. Add in a heated pool, a hot tub and dashes of blue all around this villa and you can pretend you’re underwater, living in aquatic heaven. Afternoon naps on the Balinese beds are exactly what you need after an invigorating swim. Beach towels, blankets and all the beach essentials you could need are at your fingertips so everyday is a good day to get a taxi down to Kalkan Beach for continued relaxation in the sun.

Sapphire Alpine

There’s a lot to love about this traditional farmhouse. Its 300-year history is reflected in the stone walls, wooden beams, and fireplace, while the ornate furnishings add a splash of Turkish opulence. But really, it’s the view that steals the show here. Whether you’re reading in the rocking chair on the terrace or swimming in the huge infinity pool, you’re treated to expansive views across Kaya Valley and the abandoned village of Kayaköy. It’s undoubtedly something special. 

From the traditional rugs to the friendly nature of your host, the spirit of authentic Turkey is felt everywhere here. Take in the mountain views from your bedroom balcony, savouring a Turkish coffee for the full experience. Bask in the natural surroundings by the pool, flickering between daydreaming while taking in the pretty view and reading your book. 

If you never wanted to leave this oasis in the lush valley, we’d get it. But a short walk through the countryside will take you to the atmospheric Kayaköy – an absolute must-see. If you like walking, you’re in the right place – follow the Lycian Way from Kayaköy to remote, unspoiled beaches. For busier beach days, you’re a twenty-minute drive from the famous Blue Lagoon in Ölüdeniz.

Love of the Valley

Nestled in the tranquil village of Islamlar, at the foothills of the Taurus mountains lies this beautiful villa with all the little luxuries needed to make the most of your holiday. Lounge by the pool, before rinsing off in the outdoor shower and letting the sun dry you naturally as you let the hours slip by on the poolside loungers, and enjoy alfresco meals to the sounds of wildlife.

If you're looking for a slow-paced, rural trip to an undisturbed and beautifully traditional corner of Turkey, you're in the right place. The village of Islamlar is serene with little tourism, and you're sure to come across plenty of animals in the village on your ventures. Head out to Patara beach for a day by the sea and explore the coastline by gulet or kayak. In the evening, sink into the hot waters of the Jacuzzi tub in the main bedroom and look out at the stars, visible thanks to the lack of light pollution.
