Super stylish and large enough for a big group, this smart home sits in Yucca Valley, surrounded by mountains. A perfect desert hideaway, built for entertainment, there's a great energy here, with bright, carefully designed interiors and big metal-framed windows – a contemporary take on the Art Deco classic. The outside space here is newly landscaped, with a private pool and raised hot tub, along with terraces for dining or lounging in the sun (we love the big square table seating twelve). Plus there's a covered area to one side that's perfect for evening drinks, with garden games and a fire pit. Inside, the crisp, white walls and dark wood floors are a timeless canvas for comfortable, modern furnishings. There's a nod to desert styling with natural materials and neutral fabrics, while modern art and statement lighting keep it feeling fresh. With five bedrooms, all spread out across the single-level home, it's a great space – and we love the cosy fireplaces in two of the bedrooms. A separate living room, sun room and an open-plan family room with a kitchen and a dining area off it mean there's more than enough room for everybody, and they've even found space for... a pool table. Here you'll be close to hiking trails, a short drive from the National Park, and Pioneertown is just ten miles away. And after a day out exploring, treat yourselves to a soak in the hot tub and light the barbecue for dinner under the stars.
