Perched just a two-minute walk from Scarborough’s South Cliff and set in a historic hall dating back to 1729, this pristine apartment makes quite the first impression. Regarded as one of Scarborough’s most elegant period buildings, you can see why this home built by the Reverend William Smith has a worthy spot on the English Heritage Register. Inside, while the lofty ceilings and traditional sash windows remain, everywhere else has been reimagined for modern living. That light-filled living space with dual aspect, mullioned windows revealing stunning scenes of the St. Martins vicarage caught our eye the most. It's a view best enjoyed curled up on the sofas with a glass of something crisp. And while the interiors verge more towards the classic than contemporary, everywhere is immaculately maintained, so you can drop off your bags and hit the town the running here. Get off to a flying start at the Esplanade with its Italian Gardens and, of course, the Spa Leisure Complex. Feeling peckish? Then mooch along to Ramshill Road, just a short walk away, with its delicatessens and coffee shops for a bite to eat. Then the rest of the day is yours to embrace Scarborough’s seaside charms down at the beach or drink up the postcard panoramas of the dramatic coastline from the 300-year-old Scarborough Castle.

About Scarborough

Scarborough’s natural spa waters and beach-side location have been drawing in tourists since the 18th century. Indeed, it claims to be Britain’s first seaside resort, and few things have changed since the pier and Victorian spa first opened. You’ll still find a bustling hive of retro amusement arcades, fish and chip shops and ice cream parlours serving knickerbocker glories on the South Bay promenade, where a cliffside tramway still ferries...
