When it comes to taking a romantic trip to London, there’s plenty of places to come unstuck. Luckily for you we’ve considered some of the vital features so that you can have the perfect stay.

From privacy to luxury amenities, we want to offer you some of the best romantic airbnbs in London, for your next trip of the heart abroad.

How about cute, private Clifton Gardens Studio near Regent’s Park? A short walk from Maida Vale tube station, with easy access to central London. There’s a lovely kitchen for self catering, or eat at one of the nearby restaurants (like the Quince Tree Cafe for a variety of English and European fare, or enjoy some yummy pizza at The Red Pepper). After lounging in the light, cheerful sitting room, you can take a walk by the Thames and enjoy the bucolic river views.

A number of great restaurants and pubs are nearby, like The North London Tavern, a grand, rustic place (dog friendly!) with a hearty seasonal menu and famous Sunday roasts, as well as live music, cosy fireplace, and pub quizzes.

This Crouch End maisonette, Palace & Park, offers a fireplace, kitchenette and a leafy garden for sitting. The location is quiet but near a hip neighborhood full of cafes, bars and restaurants for travelers with eclectic foodie tastes: Italian and Scottish tapas bar, anyone? There’s also an excellent Vietnamese restaurant (Khoai Cafe), and the Earl Haig Hall which features live jazz and swing music. There’s a lovely park within walking distance, and Priory Road cafes where you can find Italian hot chocolate at the Haberdashery, Turkish cuisine, the King’s Head gastropub, and much more.

The large lush Alexandra Park is worth visiting, with occasional concerts offered, and there are two excellent arthouse cinemas within short walking distance. What a great getaway for a couple who wants to enjoy an intimate taste of London culture without dealing with the crowded touristy areas.

Maybe your idea of a real getaway is putting away your electronics? Chiavari, a serene apartment in Earl’s Court, has no TV but plenty of books (and sofas for lounging and reading), and access to a lovely private garden. Very close to the museum district in Kensington (the Victoria and Albert or the new Design Museum are very much worth a visit), and with some very nice shops, taverns and the well-loved Bush theatre nearby.

You’re also a short walk from lovely Holland Park, which also features some beautiful gardens. The Betty Blythe tea shop has a “Great Gatsby” themed afternoon tea experience, if you’re itching to dance the Charleston in your beaded flapper gown.

If you and your BFF would adore a romp among the flowers, why not stay near Kew Gardens? It’s hard to see it all in one day, anyway, and staying nearby lets you spend some quality time exploring, and lunching in one of Richmond’s excellent pubs (like The Botanist). Ealing Broadway is a short jaunt by bus, where there are fabulous shops for browsing, and some great eateries.

The Garden Gatehouse has its own private entrance, and garden views (with deer!) for a leisurely breakfast before you go flower hunting. Short walk to the Royal Botanic Gardens, or to the river where you can stroll at your leisure. If you stay on a Sunday, there’s a lovely village market to attend.

Fancy a Chelsea morning? Spacious and elegant, Heritage Heights was once owned by renowned physician Alexander Fleming. This house sits right in the heart of London’s charming Chelsea neighborhood, close to The Royal Court Theatre in Sloane Square, and King’s Road with all the shopping you could want.

This is a fairly quiet residential area, close to the river, not far from gorgeous Holland Park, and with easy, quick access to central London. The sweet rooftop terrace makes a romantic spot for sharing a bottle of wine and enjoying a peaceful London neighbourhood.
