Rooftop Roundup: 11 Stunning Rooftops to Swoon Over

Gaining a different perspective’s easy when you’re standing on top of a roof terrace.

Gardens are great, but rooftop terraces can be just as beautiful – they often have the added bonus of spectacular views, too! We’ve made a list of the rooftops that we think deserve some attention. Here are 11 of our personal favourites from around the world. Enjoy!

Turn on the City Lights, Milan

We’re big fans of seamless indoor/outdoor living, especially when it looks this good. Sunset jacuzzi dip anyone? Don’t mind if we do.

The Sun Rises, Rome

The ultimate BBQ setup. Washing-up isn’t so bad when you’re doing it on a rooftop in Milan.

By the Books, Lisbon

Ok, so this might not be the swankiest rooftop on the list, but it sure is charming. Azulejos tiles, azure blue walls and a book nook? Just lovely.

Glasshouse, Barcelona

Another great example of unified indoor/outdoor spaces. This glass-walled kitchen definitely makes the most of its rooftop position. We approve!

The Terrace Sicilian, Rome

How dreamy is this plant-filled terracotta rooftop? Very. Just the right amount of wild and cultivated rolled into one.

Jacuzzi & Friends, Rome

Jacuzzi & Friends might not have stunning views, but we love how private it feels.

Secretariat, LA

We definitely wouldn’t say no to a morning coffee on one of those seriously comfy looking cushions.

The Cheshire Cat, NYC

The quintessential New York rooftop terrace. Tick!

Banana Leaves, Rome

Is it a jungle or a rooftop terrace? We’re not entirely sure with this one, but we like it.

Terrarium, Rome

Seashells, antique furniture and an abundance of potted plants: Terrarium is wonderfully enticing, if a little eclectic.

The Big Splash, Tel Aviv

What a sun trap! The dining table is great, but we adore the romantic bar stool set-up on the edge of the terrace, looking out to sea.
