Top 20 Garbatella, Rome vacation rentals & luxury serviced apartments
The Roman answer to a garden city, Garbatella is made up of a series of interlocking streets and green courtyards. It dates back to the 1920s, and over the years has gradually shifted from a working-class district to an artistic hub. Many of the eclectically designed buildings are covered in bold works of street art and while a squat provides a cultural centre and music venue. It’s a little out of the way, so there are better places to stay if your trip to Rome is focussed around most famous sights, but Garbatella is unique place in the city.
