Set less than one hundred metres from the town's pedestrianised hub with bustling restaurants and bars, it's easy to see why. The apartment's small balcony and beautifully restored period features are a nice touch. It's worth noting the kitchenette is compact and better suited to breakfasts and light bites. However, there are no compromises to make in the bathroom with a large chronotherapy shower – perfect for cooling off after days exploring Puglia's nearby coast.

Città Bianche

You’ll find this apartment in the heart of Ortigia, the historical centre of Syracuse. As an open-plan space, it’s perfect for a couple keen to base themselves within easy reach of the city’s main attractions. So, while the home lacks natural light, its enviable location makes up for it – you’re likely to spend most of your time strolling the cobbled, sunny streets. While out and about, check out the historic market where you can pick up some local produce, and head to the Piazza Duomo, Ortigia’s central square, for coffee as you people-watch in the Sicilian sun. 

Spirit of Ortigia

This charming apartment is based in a beautiful palazzo in Orvieto. The small city on a cliff in Umbria is a great choice of base for those seeking an Italian break that’s a little bit different. You’ll be surrounded by the history and culture of Italy’s bigger cities, but will be able to enjoy a quieter visit. This apartment boasts a petite Juliet balcony where you can look out over Orvieto’s rooftops, the garden, and a 1000-year-old church. The fully-equipped kitchen makes dining in a breeze, and the espresso machine is a big help in the morning. 

Pastel Paint

You'll find this apartment in the charming town of Cunardo. Situated in a quiet yet central location, this is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area, with Varese and Lugano just a short distance away. The apartment is located on the first floor and features a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable double bedroom, a bathroom, and a hallway. It is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully furnished to ensure your utmost comfort during your stay. Amenities include an induction hob, dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, wifi access, courtesy line, iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. Whether you're traveling for work or simply passing through to explore the city, every detail has been taken care of to provide you with a clean and welcoming environment.

The Rustic Retreat

Housed in a residential building, this sleek room offers a convenient hotel alternative for solo travellers or couples, equipped with everything needed for a fuss-free stay. Location-wise, you're in the heart of Sorrento, just a short walk from the beach. You'll also be within easy reach of the port, with restaurants and bars on your doorstep – handy, as this pad doesn't come with a kitchen. The interiors are a little basic for our liking, but it's modern and there's a dedicated workspace. Plus, the freestanding tub is the perfect place to relax after busy days spent travelling. 

Sunset Sorrento

Wandering through cobbled alleyways, across the small piazzas and past quirky antique shops, you'll know you've just discovered one of Italy's hidden gems. This villa can be found in a quiet village, between the Gagliano de Capo countryside and the historic old town, and could not be more perfectly placed for soaking up the very best of Italy. 

The exterior is a quintessential country farmhouse, with picture-perfect window shutters and a stone patio that beckons you to take a seat and crack open a bottle of red wine. While away the hours with good weather and good company. 

Inside, there's rustic charm in abundance, plus all of the creature comforts that'll make you feel right at home. The garden, however, is where you'll likely spend most of your time, with a private swimming pool and enclosed garden that's perfect for soaking up all of that Meditteranean sunshine on a warm afternoon. Peruse the extensive library of books that are housed in the bedroom, then get comfortable in one of the sun loungers for a relaxing afternoon.

If you're an adventure-seeker, you might spend a day snorkelling or scuba diving in the crystal clear waters of Ponte del Ciolo, or hiking along the Regional Natural Coastal Park. Whether you're exploring majestic cathedrals or rugged coastlines, a serene evening awaits when you return to the peace of your private garden.

Old Town Treasures

Wild nature and ample serenity await at this home in the Puglian countryside. Surrounded by centuries-old olive groves and ancient farmhouses and just a short drive to the sea, this romantic bolthole offers a true taste of rural relaxation. A shaded deck and a private heated plunge pool are the true showstoppers here. You’ll also have access to the shared grounds and a larger communal swimming pool. Inside, minimalist decor and whitewashed walls provide a canvas for laid-back living, and while the kitchenette is better suited to light snacks, you need only hop in your car to explore the restaurants and sights of Fasano or the coastal beauty of Savelletri. 


Cactus Kaleidoscope 

Often overlooked for its showier cousin – Costa Smeralda – the authentic port town of Olbia remains relatively untouched by tourism. Discover its charms at this dazzling new apartment overlooking the waterfront and just a short walk from the town's historic centre, crammed with boutiques, wine bars and a restaurant-lined plaza. More like a hotel room than an apartment – it's important to note there's no kitchen or living area here. However, that private terrace overlooking the sea is a nice touch for morning cuppas, and there's a coffee pod machine to kickstart your days.


The Olive Jam

Set less than one hundred metres from Ceglie Messapica's bustling pedestrianised hub and just an easy drive from the coast and Ostuni, the location of this apartment is spot-on. While the period home's vaulted ceilings and exposed stonework are impressive, there are a few compromises to make. Expect a small kitchenette that's better suited to lighter bites rather than large slap-up meals, and there's no outdoor space to speak of. But for a bolthole this characterful, we can forgive that.

Olives & Honey

This is a cozy two-room apartment located in the picturesque town of Cunardo. Nestled in a quiet yet central location, this delightful holiday rental offers the perfect base for exploring the surrounding cities of Varese and Lugano. Steeped in history, this apartment was once the village apothecary's shop in the 19th century. It features a bright and cool ground floor layout, consisting of a bathroom, double bedroom, and an eat-in kitchen that overlooks the internal courtyard. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances including an induction hob, refrigerator, and oven. Designed for your comfort, the apartment provides amenities such as wifi, a courtesy line, ironing facilities, and a hairdryer.

The Valley of Pines

By the beaches of Sorrento, this hotel-style room is the perfect pad for solo travellers or couples. Location-wise, you're in the heart of the town, with the port just a short walk away. There isn't a kitchen here – just a kettle and a microwave – but this enviable spot means there's a great selection of local eateries and bars to try out nearby. Inside, there's a dedicated (albeit small) workspace, so it's suitable for those on business trips. The freestanding bathtub is also a nice bonus. That said, our favourite feature is the private balcony, providing the perfect place to unwind with an Aperol Spritz in the evening sun.

Seashells in Sorrento

Housed in a grand palazzo, this apartment is a great choice for a couple or solo traveller seeking a sleek home-from-home in Orvieto. We love that it looks out over a 1000-year-old church and the rooftops of Orvieto. The decor blends contemporary art with antique furnishings, with all the modern amenities you’d hope for during a restful break. You’re just a short walk from Orvieto’s cathedral and other key sights – this is a comfortable and convenient option.
