Top 20 Schöneberg, Berlin vacation rentals & luxury serviced apartments
Located south-west of Mitte, Schöneberg is a characterful part of the old West Berlin with wide, tree-lined boulevards and varied architecture. Famously home to David Bowie in the 1970s, Schöneberg is an unexpected mix of multiculturalism and swankiness, both dynamic and relaxed at the same time. Since the early 20th century, Schöneberg has been the heart of Berlin’s LGBTQ+ community with the area around Nollendorfplatz being particularly important. Since 1993, Schöneberg has been home to the annual Lesbian and Gay City Festival - the biggest in Europe - and it still takes place every June. Even though Schöneberg is an eclectic part of town, there’s not as much happening here as in nearby Kreuzberg or Neukölln, but Schöneberg has a rich neighbourhood culture with plenty of fancy restaurants and funky bars that are frequented by locals and tourists alike.
