We love the style of this home, located in the hills and built with stone, while the wooden makes many appearances throughout for that classic chalet and warm feel. 

Spend the day hiking and exploring the area – visit the lake and take a refreshing dip.  Of course, you shouldn't forget to go skiing, especially at Zell am See where you can do it amidst diverse natural surroundings, a glacier, and Austrian culture. After all the excitement, relax at home with loved ones over a glass of wine while admiring the mountains before retiring to the comfortable beds.


Rising Hills

Located in a small town in the east of Austria, the landscape surrounding this apartment is as varied as it is beautiful, with mountains, lakes and forests providing ample distractions. Wherever you choose to go during the day, you'll be glad to return to this home for a spot of relaxation ahead of further adventures.

The exterior of the building is typically Alpine in style, as are parts of the interior — the preference for wooden furnishings and finishes, plus the rug in the living space and the skis on the wall, in particular. Other sections, however, are a little more contemporary, such as the sleek white kitchen and the smart grey bathrooms. Overall, everything comes together to make for an address that's the perfect balance between homely and stylish.

Another perk comes in the shape of the covered terrace with plenty of alfresco seating for making the most of spells of pleasant weather. Although if the temperature does take a dip, you can just make your way to the shared sauna within the building and work up a sweat instead.

When it comes to filling up your days, the ski bus stops a hundred metres from the building and will take you up to the slopes in no time. Lake Zell and the waterside town of Zell Am See are a quarter of an hour away by car, as well. Even closer to home, there are a handful of restaurants in the centre of Piesenberg within a two minutes' walk.

The ski bus conveniently stops in front of the building allowing you to take advantage of the top-notch skiing in the area, notably at Kitzsteinhorn (a seven-minute drive), Schmittenhöhebahn (also a seven-minute drive) and Saalbach-Hinterglemm (a twenty-five-minute drive). During the summer months, you’ve also got a wealth of beautiful spots to discover – many of which are free to visit with the National Park Summer Card provided – including countless hiking trails lacing through the forest just 100 metres away, as well as the Grossglockner High Alpine Road (fifty minutes away by car), Uttendorf’s swimming lake (a ten-minute drive) and the narrow-gauge Pinzgauer Lokalbahn (an eight-minute drive).
