While you can find plenty of Bajan homes that are classical in style, there aren't too many that look to modernism for inspiration – that's what makes this striking home built by a local architect half a century ago and recently renovated all the more special.

The phrase 'a stone's throw' is overused to the point of cliche, but for this villa, we'll make an exception – even those not terribly skilled at ball games would be able to lob a stone from this home's garden and hit the golden sands of Gibbes Beach. It really is that close.

This proximity to the Bajan coast also brings some rather calming views of the deep azure Caribbean Sea from the terrace, which benefits from a hot tub in case you want to catch the sunset from the comfort of bubbling waters.
