When you step inside this 17th–century villa, there’s a sense of being transported to another time and place. With its atmospheric presence and poetic beauty, it’s the kind of home that’s been designed for beautiful gatherings.

Set within the charming village of Baveno, just a short drive from Milan, this is the perfect setting for friends and family to celebrate in traditional Italian style. The communal spaces feel intimate and personal – with artistic details that inspire curiosity and intrigue.

Follow the creative spirit through the pink inner patio and into the kitchen – this is a wonderful place to cook and socialise. No doubt you’ll be inspired to take your morning coffee outside and into the gardens. With views across Lake Maggiore and the famous Borromeo Islands, it’s easy to get lost in the magic of this setting. Spend slow days by the swimming pool, reading beneath the trees and enjoying long lunches on the terrace.

It’s only a short walk from this home onto the main boulevard of the village where you can pick up any supplies. Or wind your way around the lake, stopping in a local cafe to admire the views.

As the sun sets across the mountains, you’ll love coming together around the large dining table to raise a glass of local wine, and share the beauty of Italian living.

The Sofia Rose

Nestled between the lake and mountains, this cosy home invites you to relax among the wonders of nature. The modern apartment sits in the heart of Lugano, an Italian-speaking city with pastel-hued buildings, unbeatable views and a Swiss-Mediterranean blend of culture and cuisine.

From your stylish living space, you can enjoy views of the spectacular landscape as you relax on the sofa. Whip up meals in the sleek kitchen to enjoy at the bright dining table – there's even a desk area, if you've struggled to leave the work at home. Just five minutes from the waterfront, this comfortable base is the ideal setting-off point to explore Switzerland's Ticino region.

There's plenty for art enthusiasts to enjoy in Lugano. After a morning coffee and breakfast spread, walk seven minutes to the Museo delle Culture, a fascinating collection of works from India and South-East Asia. Lugano Arte e Cultura is also nearby, a centre focused on visual and performance arts that promises an educational and memorable afternoon.

Blue Mountain View

This apartment is nestled in gorgeous Wengen, high in the Swiss Alps. Whether you're visiting in the height of summer or the depths of winter, it's a brilliant place to begin your adventures.

Step inside and you'll find a modern space with wooden beams and large windows that frame the stunning mountain views outside. You can stretch out on the sofa and gaze out across the valley, or head outside onto the balcony for a better look. And, when you are in need of replenishment, you can head to the kitchen to whip up some hearty dishes – there's even a fondue set for the ultimate post-skiing meal.

The lifts up to the Jungfrau ski region are only 600m away, so you can be one of the first people on the slopes each day. During the warmer months, you can explore the rugged landscapes on foot or on your bike. And, with a swimming pool, tennis courts, river rafting, and even a paragliding centre nearby, there's an activity to suit everyone.

Slalom Race

It's all about the views at this lakeside villa in the heart of Argegno. Set over multiple levels, the art-filled home oozes character and charm. There's plenty of space here, making it a great option for groups of friends and family gatherings. Some of the bedrooms views are better than others but every one overlooks famous Lake Como. The exteriors are equally charming – enjoy morning coffee on the balcony, sundowners on the terrace and then a delicious Italian dinner alfresco. Alternatively, you may want to wander into town where there are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and gelaterie to choose from.

Charming Riviera View

With its green shutters and rose-pink façade, this lake-facing villa is quintessentially Bellagio. Ideal for a large family getaway or group of friends, the sense of space impresses here. As do the views of Lake Como from the charming bedroom balconies. Some of the interiors are on the traditional side, but everything is beautifully cared for. Tucked into the peaceful hamlet of San Giovanni, just south of Bellagio’s centre, you’re less than a ten-minute stroll from the beach, with cafés even closer by. Walking into town is possible, too, though families with little ones may prefer to hop into a taxi or drive.

So Bellagio

If you’re after a central stay in Bellagio, this apartment wins hands down. Set right in the heart of the historic centre, its maze of cobbled streets filled with boutiques and cafes is on your doorstep. Tucked beneath the eaves of a period building on the top floor, it feels like a cosy, private space, and the roof windows do a good job of drawing in plenty of natural light throughout the day. That said, there aren’t sweeping lake views or private outdoor spaces here. But with the shores of Lake Como just a few minutes away on foot, we don’t think you’ll mind.

Antonio's Place

With sweeping 180-degree views across Lake Como and the surrounding mountains, this Laglio garden terrace home makes the most of its front-row position by the water’s edge. Mornings naturally start outdoors with coffee (and the view) on the lengthy private terrace, which leads off every bedroom. While late afternoons are all about cooling off in the shared pool. Location-wise, there’s a cafe and a local bar within easy reach on foot. Here to explore other Lake Como hotspots? The private garage parking (a rare in Lake Como) makes day tripping easy.

The Como Sojourn

This contemporary studio apartment is the ideal bolthole for exploring the beautiful city of Lugano. Located within walking distance of the city's cultural highlights as well as conference centres so it's perfectly suited for anyone, whether you're travelling for business or pleasure.

We love how easily this apartment lends itself to any occasion. A cosy bedroom, a living room for watching the smart TV, a workspace, or a romantic dining space. Its classic, neutral-toned decor is sleek and timeless, while still having a homeliness to it.

Even if you're in Lugano on business, it'd be remiss not to explore this wonderful city with its unique blend of Swiss and Italian cultures. The Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland is not to be missed, and you can even sail between Switzerland and Italy for a day trip. Or, you can head to the Old Town to soak up the mix of Swiss-style buildings and Italian-style piazzas. And while there's so much to see, eat, drink, and do in Lugano, the city's highlight is the dazzling Lake Lugano – you can take in all of its beauty from the waterfront of Parco Ciani.

After spending dreamy days wandering around this picture-perfect city, you have a bar right downstairs for a nightcap under the stars. Or, pick up a bottle from the local market to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own cosy apartment, nibbling on antipasto around the dining table.

Lugano Paradiso

You might have to pinch yourself when first looking out at the views from this Swiss chalet. Whether it's through the double-height windows or out from the private balcony, the Swiss mountains rise in all their glory. You can look forward to cheese-filled dinners, using the home's raclette grill and fondue set, and curling up by the towering feature fireplace – the vistas of the peaks will backdrop everything you do. Bedrooms are simple and on the bottom floor, ensuring a good night's sleep before taking the ski bus (600m from the home) or setting off on a hike. There's only one deadline to adventures, and that's being back at the balcony for sunset over the snow-capped peaks.

Perfect Peaks

Just a stone’s throw from the banks of Lake Lugano, this stylish, modern apartment is ready to ease you into a heavenly, relaxing stay – this is Paradiso, of course.

Contemporary furnishings and large windows provide a cool, sophisticated welcome in the open-plan living area where the sofas beckon hours lounging with a good book and the sleek kitchen is all set to help you cook up homemade feasts.

Gaze out onto views of the lake and its surrounding mountains – gorgeous at any time of day.

At the end of the night, your comfortable bedroom waits to drift you into a peaceful night’s sleep, leaving you rested and ready for another day of fun.

Speaking of adventures that await, you’ve also got access to a resident’s garden across the street where a diving board is primed to let you jump straight into Lake Lugano’s crystal clear waters. You’re also a fourteen-minute stroll from Parco Panoramico Paradiso, while countless restaurants, shops and bars wait to be discovered along the water’s edge. With the Sentiero dell'Olivo hiking path and the picturesque village of Gandria both also a fifteen-minute drive away, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to scenic ways to spend your days.

Paradiso Found

Built in 2020, you’ll find this pristine chalet just a nine-minute walk from the picture-perfect ski village of Nendaz, overlooking the Rhone Valley. Indoors is all about comfort, with soft-as-butter leather sofas, high ceilings and blissful beds with crisp linens. An open-plan living space is complete with modern furnishings in warm neutrals, a perfect match to the exposed wood walls. For snow-sports lovers, Nendaz boasts 412 kilometres of powdery pistes so you’re utterly spoilt for choice. On days when you want to take it easy, there’s a shared heated pool with incredible mountain views, sauna and wellness centre. In the evenings, we can’t think of anything better than gathering on your private balcony for an indulgent feast of cheese and wine – the home comes with its own raclette grill and fondue set.

Bon Hiver

Set within a historic palazzo on the shores of Lake Como, this stylish apartment offers a true taste of La Dolce Vita. Inside, high ceilings, mosaic floors and frescoes add a sense of grandeur, while multiple mezzanine levels make clever use of the space. Spend blissful days basking in the sun or dining alfresco on your private terrace, or wander through the shared gardens down to the waterfront. Don't fancy driving? No car necessary here – the local beach is just a three-minute walk away, with shops, delis and restaurants all within easy reach.
