For those visiting the area hoping for more skiing than sleuthing, you're also in luck. The ski region of Meiringen-Hasliberg has a total of fourteen lifts and twenty ski runs and is a kilometre away, while further afield you’re within easy reach of Axalp, Schilthorn and Jungfrau. For summer stays, we recommend bringing your hiking boots – there are hiking paths within fifty metres of the apartment, and you’re surrounded by stunning scenery such as the Aare Gorge. Set in a small village two kilometres outside Sorico, besides nearby hiking trails and a local park and bar, there's little else within walking distance. But for us, that's all part of the charm – and Lago di Como and Lago di Mezzola are just a short drive away when it's time to join the bustle. It's worth noting, at full occupancy, the last two guests will share a sofa bed in the lounge. While this won't suit everyone, it would work out great for a small family sharing.

Although only four kilometres from the shops, bakeries, gelateria, restaurants and pebble beach of Domaso, this apartment is on a steep hillside.
