This Cypriot villa is situated close to the resort town of Pernera, but not so central that you'll be bothered by the noise. You'll find restaurants and bars an easy walk away, so you can holiday without a car if you so wish. The two double bedrooms enjoy their own balconies with views, but the upstairs bedrooms do mean this home won't be suitable for those that struggle with stairs. The swimming pool is the jewel of this home – it can be heated for an additional cost, and has plenty of seating for tanning or alfresco dining.

Sunrise Beach is a ten-minute walk from this home, putting you in a prime spot for exploring Protaras. Restaurants, bars, and shops are also nearby – although we still suggest a car if you plan to adventure further afield. A private swimming pool awaits back at the villa, as do a roof terrace and an alfresco dining area. Sleek and modern, the design won't suit guests looking for a lot of character. That said, we're big fans of the breezy living space, which effortlessly embraces indoor-outdoor living.

Villa Asteria is a great option for families and groups of friends looking for a modern property in the Pernera area of Protaras. Inside, the property has a modern yet comfortable design with a living area featuring a corner sofa, widescreen TV and dining table seating 6 persons, as well as a fully equipped open plan kitchen. On the first floor, there are three light and airy bedrooms: the master bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room, while the other double room and 3rd bedroom with twin beds share a bathroom. Outside, there is a 8 x 4 metre pool surrounded by sun-loungers with an umbrella, patio table and chairs, built-in BBQ and sink area - perfect for outside dining and entertaining. Villa Asteria is within easy reach of Kalamies Beach and the resort centre.

The pool area is bound to go down well with the kids, while the alfresco dining space is the perfect spot for a family meal when you don't feel like heading out. Nestled in trees and just a ten-minute walk from the beach, we see why Skies of Blue is drenched in beach-vibes. Be it al-fresco brunches or hours of lounging by the poolside, this intimate home works best for families and groups of friends. Head to Paralimni, a town three kilometres away, for more sandy beaches, delicious food and a beautiful fishing harbour. If you love day trips, drive to National Forest Park Kavo Gkreko. The bedrooms are on the smaller side too, so with recommend packing light. Location-wise, the villa is just a five-minute walk from the nearest sandy beach and is ideal for exploring the beautiful resort of Protaras.

Blending right into Fig Tree Bay but within walking distance of the lively Protaras, this is a villa that truly offers it all. Take the kids out to snorkel in the ocean or have a night out in Ayia Napa with friends. A visit to this home is a total escape from the stress of modern life. From here, it’s just a five-minute walk to the heart of Protaras, while the famous Fig Tree Bay is also within easy walking distance. This won’t be the best option if you’re looking for total privacy and seclusion, but it is family-friendly with space to relax both inside and out. There is a private pool, a shaded terrace and a barbecue. Plus, your host is on hand to help organise sweet extras like welcome hampers and airport transfers.

On hotter days, take refuge in the air-conditioned bedrooms. Close to the gorgeous coastal town of Protaras as well as the restaurants and shopping areas at the beach, you have plenty to indulge in right in your vicinity. However, if adrenaline fuelled water-sports, scuba diving or snorkelling are on your mind, there are plenty of submerged caves and rock formations to satiate that desire as well.
