Location-wise, Versus is about as good as it gets. You’re only a short walk from Alexanderplatz (seven minutes to be exact), as well as Hackescher Markt and all of its shops. It’s worth noting that it’s quite small (it’s a studio), but if you don’t mind everything being in the same room, then you’ll like this place. The kitchen isn’t super big either – but no need to worry, there are tonnes of amazing restaurants and coffee shops nearby for you to try out.

Our favourite thing about My Cobalt Diary was undoubtedly the balcony. Bright, refreshing, and cosy, it overlooks a typical Berliner courtyard, with greenery during the summer months. Found in the heart of the city, many of Berlin’s most popular attractions are nearby – including Hackescher Markt and the Spree. We also loved how well-connected it is – you can easily reach the likes of Kreuzberg, Neukölln, and Friedrichshain. It’s worth noting that it’s a studio, so don’t expect lots and lots of space.

Boston Cream Pie is a little on the generic side, but the wonderful location makes up for everything it lacks in the design department. Rosenthaler Platz is a bustling part of Berlin, packed with co-working spaces, independent eateries and hipster-esque coffee shops. The home itself is bright and airy, but it also comes with a bed and sofa bed side by side in the living room – so don’t expect a lot of privacy.

While Pistachio Macaron isn’t the most charming home in our collection, it’s located in a very attractive part of bustling Berlin. With Rosenthaler Platz on your doorstep, you’re close to so many art galleries, independent boutiques and eateries. Despite being a studio, the home is bright and airy – and although it’s not going to win any design prizes, it’s a great base for travellers looking to explore a vibrant part of the city.

Nestled in the central downtown area of the historic city of Berlin, this home is perfect for guests looking to go out and explore this amazing city. The apartment itself boasts a wonderfully artsy atmosphere, featuring the creative works of local Berlin artists that really are a treat to behold, with many being pieces you can purchase and bring back. Step through the front door to be welcomed by fresh, open spaces, comfortable and welcoming furniture, and a sense of the genuine love that has gone into this home.

As the apartment is close to Berlin Nordbahnhof, guests are extremely well-connected to the rest of the city, and is perfect for those preferring to use public transport, which we have to admit is the ideal way to travel during a city escape. After breakfast and the day's first crisp cup of coffee, head out to experience Berlin culture and life at its finest, with visits to Museum Island, the iconic Berlin Wall, and Brandenburg Gate, while a day spent in the city centre shopping, sightseeing, and sampling delicious local delicacies can have you out from dusk 'til dawn. We highly recommend trying the local schnitzel with a hearty pint of Hofbrau Oktoberfest.

Over the years, Berlin has built a reputation for being one of the coolest, chicest cities in Europe, and that has brought about an influx of unique buildings to stay in. This home is no different! Filled with artistic flair and character, you're guaranteed to feel inspired with creativity when wandering around this open-plan apartment.

Considering its placement in Berlin's Mitte district, which is steeped in history and culture, you'll feel right at home in the neighbourhood. Locations don't come much more central to Berlin than the lively Mitte area, so you'll be glad to know there are endless experiences and sights at your doorstep. A twelve-minute wander will take you to Hackescher Höfe – a must-see maze of Art Nouveau courtyards made up of designer shops, restaurants, cafes and incredible street art – while a twenty-four-minute stroll will bring you to Museum Island, which comprises five museums for the history buffs to enjoy.

With a large, well-equipped kitchen, and a wonderful patio, there’s no getting around the fact that this home is set up for having a good time. There’s also a sauna, which is the ultimate post-sightseeing treat. Location-wise, it almost doesn’t get any better than this. Rosenthaler Platz is rich in culture, and it’s also one of our favourite neighbourhoods – get ready to explore modern art galleries, one-of-a-kind cafes, quirky bars, and lots and lots of co-working spaces.

Boomerang’s location is phenomenal. Just across the street from Friedrichstrasse Bridge and the adjacent train station, it’s so well-connected that most of Berlin is at your fingertips. But the best of all, you ask? The quietness. Despite the central location, it’s surprisingly calm (the balcony also faces an inner courtyard). The kitchen and bathroom could do with a contemporary update, but we’re willing to overlook that because of the living room’s cool mid-century-inspired design.

While this home is small, we promise it’ll make for a comfortable base. With a hotel-like style, the building is from 2016, which means that it feels incredibly modern and streamlined. The location is excellent – it’s within walking distance to many of Berlin’s most popular attractions, like Checkpoint Charlie, and Museum Island. You’ll also find an abundance of restaurants and coffee shops that are worth checking out. 

The Cherry Blossom

With an abundance of coworking spaces, quirky cafes and art galleries nearby, this home near Rosenthaler Platz is certainly in a lively neighbourhood. Ideal for groups of friends or families, the kitchen is well-equipped, the bathroom is fresh and functional, and the bedrooms are airy and bright. It's not bursting with character, but it does have plenty of design strengths like the funky kaleidoscope artwork, the sunny den leading onto the little balcony and, of course, the wonderful views.

If you’re in Berlin to see the sights, you should stay somewhere like The Frog Prince. Alexanderplatz is about fifteen minutes away and the same with Museum Island. Even though it’s not the most characterful home we have, we love its vintage-meets-modern style. The kitchen is a particular favourite, with its sleek feel and modern appliances.

Even though Wait A Minute is central, the immediate area is very peaceful. You’re within walking distance to lots of museums and art galleries – and it’s also well-connected by way of nearby Berlin Nordbahnhof. All in all, it’s a great point to explore Berlin from. Home-wise, we particularly enjoyed the impressive fifth-floor views of the Altbau-filled neighbourhood from the balcony. It is minimal in style, but we like that it’s so modern – it’s also flooded with natural light, which is something we always find appealing.

Wait A Minute

Circa is excellently located. With less than five minutes to several art museums (KW Institute for Contemporary Art and me Collectors Room), it’s especially ideal for people who are looking to delve into Berlin’s cultural side. The bathroom could definitely do with an update – and the bedroom with some more storage options. Yet, we like how minimalist it feels, and it’s ideal if you’re looking for a comfortable base in a well-connected part of Mitte.

With a private balcony equipped for alfresco dining and lounging in the sun, this Berlin apartment is fitting for a romantic getaway. Well-behaved pets are welcome to join you here for an additional fee, and the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking up whatever you're craving. The central location does mean there is the potential for some outside noise, but free on-site parking is offered to help you explore the city. If you're not driving though, fear not – you'll find public transport nearby, and attractions like the iconic Brandenburg Gate and the lush Tiergarten are a breezy stroll from your doorstep.

Here, on the seventh floor, we love that the large roof terrace boasts cityscape views for your outdoor hangouts. Business travellers will benefit from the workstation. Plus, this home's open-plan living area offers a sofa bed for guests three and four. While excellent transport links are a stone's throw away, lively Oranienburger Street lines your doorstep with restaurants and landmarks.

Avocado might be small, but it’s well-suited for a stay in Berlin. It’s within walking distance to Rosenthaler Platz – one of our favourite spots in Mitte, filled with coffee shops, restaurants, and boutiques. Prenzlauer Berg is also not too far away. While it’s definitely not the kind of place you host a dinner party, it makes for a great, comfy, and cosy Berlin base.

Show and Tell is one of those homes that’s brimming with charisma. From the high ceilings to the vintage mid-century furniture and Moroccan style tiles, small treasures are hiding around every corner waiting to be found. With a funky mix of global influences, The Ventriloquist is Berlin chic to the bone. It’s easy to see that a lot of time and effort has been put into picking the right decorations – from the safari-style wall decorations to the tribal print rugs. There’s also a projector screen in the living room, encouraging you to stay in, slow down and watch a film. The immediate area might be a little too touristy for some, but there are also plenty of nearby places we love – one of them being Weinberg Park, the perfect spot to enjoy a sunny afternoon.

Those who are particular about their design will fall head over heels for this penthouse apartment. For a start, the exterior is rather unique, as it's a new wooden development adapted respectfully on top of an industrial building dating back to 1905. The interior is a shining beacon of clean minimalism, in which every item has been selected carefully for maximum impact. The artwork on the walls, for example, is curated by different galleries and artists, and, as such, changes quite regularly. The kitchen, too, has been hidden away in a cabinet, so there's nothing but sleek white walls when it's not in use, and the linens are made from pure organic cotton. Sustainability is at the core of every piece of furniture and fixture within this home, with each piece carefully selected to have minimal environmental impact. Out through the glass doors — which are nothing but generous when it comes to natural light — you'll find the roof terrace, on which there's plenty of seating and a range of plants chosen for their fragrances, from bedstraw and thyme to wall pepper. Located in the quieter north of the Mitte district, there are lots of green spaces and historical curiosities to be found nearby, including the Silent Green Kulturquartier three minutes' walk away and Humbolthain state park only a quarter of an hour away.

The Estelle has something of a dreamlike quality. It’s hard to put a finger on what it is exactly that makes it so, but it is noticeable. The treehouse in the shared garden adds something to this sense of wonder – maybe it's the jubilant sounds coming from neighbourhood children playing. Inside everything is cool and calm, and while the decor is on the minimalist side, there’s been a serious effort to keep the design coherent, and it feels very much of Berlin.


The Estelle

Set in a building that used to be a space observatory, Easy Like A Sunday Morning is one for the architecture aficionados. It’s minimalist in the coolest way possible, with high ceilings, the raw and honest surfaces, as well as the concrete columns. And it’s managed by the same architecture firm that designed the building and living units, so expect lots of attention to detail. Sadly, the kitchen isn’t the biggest, but we like to think of that as an opportunity to explore the nearby area, which is full of both restaurants and museums.

Easy Like A Sunday Morning

There are so many interesting aspects to this home, it’s hard to choose which to focus on. The building itself is clad with burnt wood and dark blue metal panels – there to reflect the site’s former space observatory. All the surfaces within the building are raw and honest, such as the exposed concrete, which shows the scars of construction. Sadly, this studio apartment is small, and the concrete columns within make it even more cramped. Nonetheless, this home is ideally located close to some of Berlin’s best attractions, such as the Jewish Museum and the Martin-Gropius-Bau.

Making Waves is one of a kind. Situated just behind Berlin’s cluster of galleries, it’s also within walking distance to the architectural masterpiece that is Gleisdreieck Park. On top of being fully equipped (the kitchen is a particular favourite of ours), we also love how stylish it is. Much of the furniture is custom made for the space, and it has a tranquil atmosphere that we can’t get over. As a bonus, it has Sonos speakers in every single room – this includes the bathroom for all the people who enjoy a good sing along session in the shower.

Making Waves

There’s a lot to like about Fruitful. Bright (courtesy of the huge windows), modern, and characterful, it’s a charming Prenzlauer Berg escape. Best of all? It’s super close to Volkspark Friedrichshain, one of Berlin’s most beloved parks. As it faces an inner courtyard, it’s pretty tranquil. But it’s still a studio, so don’t expect lots and lots of space (the bedroom is only separated from the living space by a partitioning wall).

Fruitful

With its white floors and streamlined interiors, Goldie is a hidden gem for design enthusiasts. A stylish mix of mid-century features, minimalist designs, and bohemian touches, it’s one of those homes that will always appear effortlessly chic. We also love the location – it’s only about five minutes away from Alexanderplatz, with restaurants, coffee shops, and sights aplenty.

Boasting breathtaking views across Berlin's rooftops, this lavish home in the beating heart of Friedrichshain provides an idyllic base for exploring the city. You'll find it in the lively Boxhagener Kiez neighbourhood, nestled in a leafy corner of Altbau architecture and surrounded by public transport links. Here, you're a four-minute stroll from Boxhagener Platz, famed for its weekly markets and trendy tangle of independent cafes, eateries, bars and boutiques. 

We love this home's thoughtful design aesthetic. Perched on the top floor, its open-plan layout boasts a loft-style charm adorned with vibrant artwork, stylish decor and high-end appliances. Every aspect of this home promises a want-for-nothing stay, from the fully-fitted kitchen and rooftop dining terrace to the high-end entertainment set-up, complete with a projector and sound system for those cosy movie nights in.

Throughout, it's a timeless canvas of white walls, oak parquet floors and large south-facing windows, ushering sunlight to flood the space. Spend mornings roosted on one of the four terraces and balconies, sipping coffee before slipping out to grab brunch - we recommend Silo, a two-minute walk away.

At First Sight makes for a wonderful escape. Tucked away on a typical Prenzlauer Berg street, it offers gorgeous and calming views of an inner courtyard. The immediate area is relatively quiet, but it’s well-connected to some of the neighbourhood’s busier spots. We love how personal it feels – all the way from the Persian rugs and artwork by the host’s brother, to the delicate pops of colour and the luxurious wine fridge. The hosts are charming and are beyond excited to share their Berlin sanctuary with you.

Your host, Kitty, is an illustrator and this beautiful, luminescent apartment is her studio. We love how she’s transformed it into an elegant living space with more character than you can shake a paintbrush at. From her original art above the bed to her easels and paints sitting alongside an extraordinary collection of books and ornaments, this space is an art lover’s haven and a truly unique way in which to experience the city. The light here, too, is dazzling, pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors that lead out onto a private balcony. Sit here with your morning coffee and one of the many books, and relish the tranquillity of your inner courtyard setting. With a luxurious green-tiled tub (and the bathroom's underfloor heating) to retreat to after a day of exploring Berlin by foot, this home truly offers a canvas for a blissfully relaxing time. Outside of your home, you’ve got the Prenzlauer Berg neighbourhood on your doorstep packed with independent eateries, design boutiques, bike rentals, supermarkets, public parks and cosy coffee shops. Visit Mauerpark’s Sunday flea market (a twenty-five-minute walk), check out the KulturBrauerei for hip shops and music clubs (a fifteen-minute walk) or indulge in some retail therapy along trendy Kastanienallee and Alte Schönhauser Allee (both a twenty-minute stroll). Further afield, Museum Island – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is a thirty-minute walk, while Alexanderplatz is ten minutes away on the subway.

We love The Fire Dancer for its size and all the colourful accents. Located on a quiet street, you’re not too far from all of Berlin’s hustle and bustle – trendy Rosenthaler Platz is just a short five-minute walk away. While there are a lot of positive things to note about this home, our favourite part is the calm bedroom – autumnal prints, the trendy cane woven headboard, and decorative statement walls go hand in hand.

At Balances, you’ll find industrial-inspired exposed brick and pipework, which the host has lovingly combined with minimalist furnishings that give this home a New York-like appeal. It is situated on the lower ground floor, but with plenty of natural light and its location on a quiet street, we’re willing to look past this minor detail. More importantly, Balances sits smack dab between some of Berlin’s most famous, and most important, sites. You can easily walk around this part of town visiting modern art galleries, historic museums or the Berlin Wall Memorial.

Boasting a sought-after location in the beating heart of Berlin Mitte and a stone's throw from Prenzlauer Berg, this stylish home provides an idyllic base for families and groups of friends. You'll find this home tucked away in a leafy row of elegant, pastel-hued architecture. Inside, it's a timeless combination of high ceilings and parquet flooring, adorned with contemporary decor and a vibrant colour pallete. We love the open-plan living space, with its fully-equipped kitchen, dining table and cosy corners for relaxation, including a plush l-shaped sofa and little reading nook. 

Slide open the floor-to-ceiling glass doors and discover the sleek private balcony. Offering pretty views of the courtyard below, this is your very own secluded sanctuary from Mitte's hustle and bustle. After a restful slumber, spend mornings perched here, coffee cup in hand, enjoying the peace and quiet, before slipping out for breakfast. For baked goods and coffee, we recommend Zeit für Brot, five minutes away on foot and conveniently located next to Weinberg Park, a beautiful spot for picnics.

At the exact point where Kreuzberg meets Neukölln, we find The Blue Angel. Kreuzkölln, as the locals call it, is a blend of multiple identities - there’s the multicultural atmosphere, the hipster bars, and a mix of both expensive abodes and rundown buildings. The Blue Angel embodies all of it with its high ceilings and original plaster details paired with contemporary photo prints and vintage furniture in the kitchen.

Found in Prenzlauer Berg and right next to Mauerpark, the location doesn’t get any better than this (if you’re looking to stay in Berlin’s most charming neighbourhood that is). The home itself is very unique – just look at that floating bed, isn’t it all you’ve ever wanted? It might be small (it’s a studio), but with an eye for detail and cool pieces of furniture, Niklas has managed to design something special. Our favourite part of In Your Dreams (other than the bed, of course), is the chaise lounge by the window, it’s the perfect place to unwind and do some people-watching.

The Contortionist is very special. Brimming with natural light, each room is designed with meticulous attention to detail – we love the different wallpapers and mix of pastel hues. The rooftop is its superpower, the striking views of Berlin with the TV Tower in the distance are mesmerising. The beds aren’t as luxurious as we would like them to be, but luckily all the bedrooms are captivating and filled with lots of small, curated details.

The Contortionist

Dry Humour is one of a kind. Located inside what used to be a brewery, the building is steeped in history. We adore the high ceilings and arched windows, both of which remind us of a different time. It also comes with a kitchen that’s very clearly made for cooking – the butcher’s block countertop is as cool as it is practical. The immediate area is on the more peaceful side, but you’re only a ten-minute walk from some of Berlin’s most charming hangouts – including Viktoriapark (one of our favourite parks in the city).

Dry Humour

Fact, fiction, you name it, The Bibliophile is likely to have it. Filled with books (both in the living room and bedroom), this home is for all the book lovers out there. It feels very authentic and personal with subtle touches of Indian art and patterns (Rajeev is from south India). Complete with plenty of cosy nooks to kick back and read a book, it’s also a home that’s brimming with natural light and a warm, welcoming home away from home atmosphere.

The Bibliophile

You can tell that your host is an architect the minute you walk through this home’s door. Bright and minimalist, it feels like a creative studio with its pared-back furnishings and white walls. And of course, the apartment’s most striking feature – undoubtedly a source of inspiration, creative or otherwise – is its huge picture windows giving way to views towards Alexanderplatz and the Berlin TV Tower. You’ll love cosying up on the window-side bench with your morning cup of coffee while feasting on the vistas, or kicking back on the window-facing sofa with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the city. There’s a cute viewing platform with a skylight too for those who want an even better bird’s eye view while the bedroom’s slanted window lets you wake up and enjoy the city’s rooftops first thing. Outside of your home, you’re a fifteen-minute walk from leafy Volkspark Friedrichshain, a twenty-five-minute stroll from the East Side Gallery, while Alexanderplatz is reachable by public transport in just fifteen minutes. 


Simple Living

Sage looks like it’s stuck in a bohemian moment of the 1960s – and we're here for it. Positively brimming with retro furniture, hip artwork, and a vibrant colour palette, it’s like breathing in a breath of fresh air. We love that all of this is happening inside an old Altbau building, with big windows and high ceilings, allowing plenty of natural light to stream through the large bedrooms and spacious communal areas. It's a real crowd-pleasing home, with three brightly coloured bedrooms, each with their own eclectic prints, funky patterns and green houseplants. Set against the backdrop of Mitte, it’s in an excellent location for exploring too. Alexanderplatz is around the corner (a five-minute walk away) – and if you feel like exploring Museum Island, it’s less than fifteen minutes from home by foot.
