Bright, modern and unbeatably central, this Copenhagen pad offers comfort and style in the popular Danish capital. Fall in love with the light-filled living space, tastefully decorated with a typically Scandinavian sense of minimalism and effortless cool. We're especially smitten with the sleek, matte black kitchen. When the sun comes out, you have your own private balcony to kick back on, coffee and traditional custard pastry in hand. What more could you want?

When it comes to location, it doesn't get better than this apartment. Push open your front door and find yourself right in the city centre, with shops, restaurants and bars in every direction. Strøget, an expansive pedestrian street lined with trendy boutiques, is just a five-minute walk away. From here, saunter across the canal and over to the Christiansborg Palace. This historic landmark houses the current Danish government – as well as a stellar collection of paintings and sculptures.

Scandi State of Mind

Once the stomping grounds of ashore sailors seeking romance and adventure, this penthouse apartment has 400 years of history to its name. The half-timbering style pays homage to its heritage, but the rest of the design is contemporary. Layout-wise, it's quite quirky – the bedrooms have glass walls, the bathroom has two showers and two toilets, and two guests will sleep on the sofa bed. It's also on the third floor of a building without a lift. But the location is hard to beat. The picturesque Nyhavn waterfront is steps away. There's also a cafe in the courtyard downstairs, perfect for a laid-back coffee.

Sailor's Hideout

Located in trendy Vesterbro, The Yellow Parasol is surrounded by green outdoor spaces with Sønder boulevard, Enghave Park and Skydebanehaven all a short walk away. This home’s beauty is in its simplicity. The monochrome design is supplemented by quality pieces – we can’t get enough of the large wooden dining table. Be warned, this penthouse apartment might offer great light, but there’s no lift in the building – it’s a seventy-step hike up to the front door.

The Yellow Parasol

Surrounded by the vintage shops, artisan cafes and fusion restaurants of Vesterbro, Sunny Matador is a great stay for those who want to experience Copenhagen at its trendiest. This is a small, well-laid-out home that immediately establishes a cosy atmosphere – even though there isn't much space to move around. We particularly loved the workspace right by the window and the exposed brick wall with gorgeous prints. 

Sunny Matador

Located in a quiet corner of Indre By but just a five-minute walk from the 17th century Nyhavn waterfront, this bright and welcoming apartment puts you right in the heart of Copenhagen’s action. We love the homey comforts on offer here, from the sheepskin throws to the inviting Scandi and vintage furnishings and the large windows proferring fourth-floor views over the city’s rooftops. Our favourite spot is the private balcony with its views of Christiansborg’s spire. Sit here with your morning coffee while soaking up the fresh air or gather at the elegant dining table with the French doors open to enjoy the warmth and cosiness of your home. With plenty of curios decking the shelves, original artwork, a record player to serenade your evenings and a beautiful antique bureau on which to catch up on work, you’re all set for a relaxing time here, whether for business or pleasure. Factor in the luxurious Hästens bed for a dreamy night’s sleep and you may never leave your comfortable home. When you do, however, you’ll be wowed by the countless sights within easy reach on foot, including the Kongens Nytorv (seven minutes), Strøget’s upscale shops and indie boutiques (twelve minutes) and the Tivoli Gardens (fifteen minutes).


Ballet Shoes

This stunning seventh-floor apartment offers the best of modern city living. It’s on Island Brygge, along the main canal of Copenhagen’s harbour, and just across the canal from the busy city centre. Walking across the pedestrian bridge, you can reach Tivoli, Kødbyen, and Town Hall Square in no time. The apartment has two terraces with canal views, with lounge furniture and an outdoor dining table. Inside, huge windows bring the views inside. This is a contemporary apartment with everything you need to make yourself at home – there’s even a wine fridge. Three guests will sleep on sofa beds in the living space, as there are only two bedrooms. 

Canalside Comfort

With all of Copenhagen's best bits within easy strolling distance, the location of this central Indre By apartment is hard to beat. While we can't fault the light-filled, Scandi interiors of the living area and bedrooms, the kitchen and bathroom set-up might be too compact for some. It's also worth noting that at full occupancy, the last two guests will be sharing a sofa bed in the lounge. But we're willing to let that slide for a home with such a spot-on location.

The Danish Way

Situated just one street from The Lakes, this penthouse apartment is perfectly positioned for waterfront strolls, coffees and drinks. This modern Scandi-style apartment is ideal for groups wanting to maximise their time both out and in, with a central location and a contemporary sociable space. If you’re visiting as a group of eight, two guests will sleep on the living area sofa bed, so you might need to call it early some nights. But then again, with plenty of bars and concert venues nearby, we’re sure you'll spend your evenings out experiencing the Copenhagen culture. 

Lake Haven

Located a short walk from buzzing Kødbyen, The Good Egg is a typical Copenhagen apartment with lots of charm. Even though it’s not the most unique home in our collection, it has a cool mix of vintage pieces and classic Danish design items. We especially love the superior king-size bed with crisp, high-quality linens, which is definitely not something we see every day in Copenhagen. 

The Good Egg

Winsome is a one-bedroom home in trendy Vesterbro. It’s eco-friendly, and the efficient open-plan layout is typical of Copenhagen, especially when it comes to this part of the city. We love how the host’s personality shines through the chic original artworks, unique graphic prints, Danish design furniture, collectibles, green plants and the many, many books on art, philosophy and aesthetic. If you want to experience the authentic Vesterbro vibe, this gallery manager’s well-curated home is the place. 


Winsome

Housed in a listed building on Gråbrødretorv square, this design-forward apartment pairs period charm with a cinematic sense of style. Expect high ceilings, Italian-inspired touches, and a statement-striped dining room perfect for long, laughter-filled evenings. Every corner feels intentional, from the terrazzo-tiled bathrooms to the Klimt replica in the lounge. With four bedrooms, a glamorous dressing room, and sleeping space for ten, it’s a generous hideaway for families and friends alike. Best of all, you’re in the heart of the city, just minutes from museums, bakeries, and boutiques.

 The Danish Duke

Downtown Copenhagen apartments with outdoor space are a rare find, so it’s no wonder this light-filled home with a shared rooftop terrace caught our eye. All the sightseeing hotspots, including Nyhavn Harbour, are just a stroll away. After something more authentic? The food markets of Torvehallerne are close by to pick up local ingredients to rustle up brunch back at home in the made-for-action kitchen. It's worth noting there's a lively bar below this historic apartment building – but in central Copenhagen, this is all par of the course.
