Hidden away in a dreamy resort on the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, this gorgeous villa will delight first-time visitors and seasoned jetsetters alike with its impeccably furnished interiors and abundance of outdoor space.

Dump your bags in the open-plan living area then step straight out into the garden, where you’ll be greeted by swaying palm trees and stunning views of the neighbouring golf course. With an outdoor pool and traditional palapa at your disposal, you’ll easily be able to spend all day unwinding out here, but we equally wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to head inside for a midday snooze or an invigorating workout in the private gym.

When it’s time to eat, tuck into a light meal at the stylish dining table or make a beeline for the shaded veranda and fill up on smoky dishes straight from the barbecue, which we highly recommend washing down with a refreshing cocktail or two. It’ll be bedtime before you know it, so why not make the most of your evening by watching the sun go down at Playa Blanca Beach before turning in for the night? We don’t know about you, but we can’t think of anything we’d rather do.

Carib Wood Sunset

Tucked inside a gated complex in Cap Cana's Iguanas area, this apartment is a well-considered retreat for couples wanting to slow right down. The shared community pool is the natural centre of the day – cool off there, then retreat to the open-air lounge when the afternoon heat peaks. Back inside, the layout keeps things unfussy and relaxed, with everything you need and nothing you don't. Cap Cana itself delivers the kind of Caribbean ease that's easy to settle into, and Playa Juanillo, one of the best beaches, is a ten-minute drive away.

Juanillo Afternoon

Five suites arranged around a landscaped open-air courtyard set a quietly dramatic tone for this resort villa. The architecture is clean and Mediterranean, softened by tropical gardens at every turn. A gazebo with a bar, barbecue, and dining area makes alfresco evenings easy, while the pool and upper terrace look out over a golf course towards the sunset. Two private beach clubs, 45 holes of golf, and the white sands of Punta Cana all sit within the resort's reach.

Punta Cana at Sundown

Set within an exclusive resort, this villa sits right on the edge of a championship golf course – so tee times are never far away, and the views across the fairways give the outdoor spaces a real sense of scale. Living and dining open out to the pool in one easy sweep, and the covered outdoor kitchen makes alfresco evenings feel effortless. Beyond the villa itself, the resort delivers plenty – two private beach clubs, seven restaurants, and an English-speaking concierge to arrange everything from catamaran trips to yacht hire. Bávaro Beach and the electric-blue waters of Hoyo Azul Lagoon are both within reach when you're ready to explore.

Fairway After Rain

This home boasts a private balcony – the perfect place to linger over morning coffee before doing anything else. Inside, the living and dining area is bright and connected, suited to both easy evenings in and longer working trips. Bayahibe Village and its colourful fishing boats are close by, Playa Dominicus is nine minutes away by car, and the departure points for Isla Saona's white-sand beaches and lagoons are within easy reach – this is a relaxed base for exploring one of the Dominican Republic's most rewarding stretches of coastline.

Bayahibe Balcony

Bright, breezy, and built for a Caribbean pace of life, this apartment in Dominicus sits within a secure gated community where a palm-fringed shared pool and a private balcony above it do most of the heavy lifting. The living space keeps things easy – one light-filled room for cooking, eating, and winding down after a day in the sun. Playa Dominicus, a Blue Flag-certified beach, is a short walk away, and La Romana International Airport is a twenty-minute drive – so you can land, unpack, and be in the water before the day is out.

Dominicus Breeze

Four bedrooms, each with its own terrace and views stretching across the Punta Espada golf course, the turquoise ocean, and the dramatic farallón rock formation – this villa in Cap Cana is built around the view from the moment you wake up. Days revolve around the thatched pool pavilion, alfresco dining under open Caribbean skies with the pizza oven fired up, and sundowners on the bar terrace with the palms below. A private beach club is included for all guests, and a bilingual concierge can arrange tee times on the golf course, tennis, excursions, and more.

Farallón at Dusk

Boasting its own terrace cabana, private swimming pool and vast tropical gardens, this expansive villa offers a blissful slice of paradise to a large family or group of friends looking for a luxurious resort holiday by the beach.

From the beautifully tall ceilings to the vast and light-inviting windows, the home presents large open spaces with a refreshing light and airy feel throughout. Combining both classic and contemporary designs, the quirky interiors create a characterful aesthetic that injects bold pops of colours into an otherwise calming, neutral background.

Dotted around the home are several seating areas, meaning you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing your favourite perching spot. So whether you're relaxing on the loungers by the pool, sipping cocktails under the terrace cabana or relaxing with your feet up in one of the indoor sumptuous lounge areas – it's safe to say you'll find peace and comfort here.

Light up the barbecue or head out to sample the local culinary delights of Punta Cana – or better still, why not have a private chef come and rustle something up for you?

After all, parting ways with this private haven is likely to be one of the hardest parts of your day. That being said, it would be rude not to make the most of the vast array of activities available, including golf, tennis, sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing and horseback riding. Oh, and there's an on-site gym and spa if the art of relaxation is more your thing.

Coral Cabana

A Moroccan-inspired villa set within a resort, this six-bedroom retreat wraps a private pool around golf course views and Caribbean sunsets – the kind of combination that makes it hard to leave the terrace. After dark, the pool terrace comes into its own, floodlit and fringed with tropical greenery. An English-speaking concierge handles everything from tee times to yacht charters, and two private beach clubs are part of the package. Playa Bávaro's white sands and the Dominican Rainforest are both within reach when you're ready to explore beyond the gates.

Moroccan Sunset

Dine above the water beneath a thatched pavilion, then spend the afternoon stretched out poolside beneath swaying palms – this Punta Cana villa is built around the kind of days that are hard to leave behind. A personal butler, in-villa chef, and English-speaking concierge handle everything, leaving you free to explore forty-five holes of premium golf, two private beaches, or an exclusive marina within the resort. When the day winds down, Punta Cana Beach and the vivid blue waters of Hoyo Azul Cenote are both within reach – and Puntacana Village sits just beyond the resort gates.

Caribbean Cool

This Caribbean villa offers a luxurious escape. With a chef, maid, and butler service, you’re guaranteed a relaxing break, whether you plan on spending your time lounging in a hammock by the pool, hitting the golf course, or swimming in the sea. The resort is located in a 26-square-mile, exclusive, gated community, with a beach, golf club, spa, and several restaurants – your host can arrange golf cart hire so getting around is a breeze. Staying here, you’ll have everything you need close to hand.

The Garden of Palms

Nestled among swaying palms with the Caribbean Sea lapping at its doorstep, this villa in Punta Cana is the definition of luxury. You're a stone's throw from one of the Caribbean's most iconic white-sand shores, with a world-class tropical golf course right beside the villa, too. There's also a private pool and sun-kissed terrace here, both showing off the coastal views. A full-service staff team, including a cook, a butler, and a housekeeper, are on-hand to take care of everything, so the only decision left is whether to spend the afternoon on the water or out on the fairway.
