Start your morning with a café con leche on the outdoor sofa then settle in for a day of sunbathing by the glistening pool. We don’t know about you, but we could easily spend all day out here, sipping a refreshing Andalusian cocktail and getting to know the loveable pets that live next door. If you fancy getting out and about though, why not drive into Taberno for an afternoon of sightseeing before heading back home and treating yourself to a delicious barbecue on the porch? Glass of sherry, anyone?

Smack bang in the heart of delightful Dénia, this no-fuss apartment is perfect for couples or solo travellers looking for some rest and relaxation on the Costa Blanca. Inside, the place strikes a balance between comfort and function. There’s a compact kitchen equipped for quick meals and a quiet bedroom to ensure a peaceful sleep night after night. But it was the view that was our favourite part. We could’ve spent hours on that modular chair, watching the palm trees sway and the boats to and fro from the harbour, only breaking our gaze to open a bottle of Rioja as the sun sets. Spend mornings exploring your locale – you’re a ten-minute walk from the Dénia Castle and eighteen minutes from the Marineta Casiana Beach. If you’re feeling curious, take the twenty-minute drive to Parc Natural del Montgó for stunning hiking routes or catch the ferry from the port to the dazzling Balearic Islands.

This home in the Andalusian countryside is very much away from it all. There’s nothing but olive groves, rugged hills and the odd farmstead for miles. The closest town is around a fifteen-minute drive away – El Saucejo – where you’ve got supermarkets for supplies and a handful of local restaurants and bars. Plus, the pretty town of Ronda with its famous gorge and the historic city of Seville are both around an hour’s drive away, ideal for a day trip or two.

Life here is all about embracing the slow pace – lying up on a lounger by the swimming pool as orange trees provide natural shade. Finding a secluded spot on the stone patios and settling in with a good book. Or, perhaps gathering for rustic lunches in the shade of the outdoor dining area, surrounded by old-world farming tools – a nod to the villa’s history.
