Surrounded by olive trees with beautiful views across the mountains, this 19th-century home makes the perfect setting for an idyllic island escape. Outside, leisurely days can be spent lounging by the private pool. There is also an outdoor kitchen, a vegetable garden and a neighbouring organic farm with fresh seasonal produce. Inside, there are three floors, several living rooms, games and a grand piano. You’ll also find each of the bedrooms comes with a en-suite bathroom – adding a wonderful sense of privacy. From here, you can stroll into the centre of Santa Maria in just ten-minutes, while Palma is just a twenty-minute drive away. 

Mediterranean Splendour

This little Finca makes the perfect setting for a rustic island escape. Surrounded by trees with views across the sea, guests can enjoy a wonderful sense of seclusion while also having easy access to the centre of Banyalbufar – just 450 metres away. You won’t find a swimming pool here, but you will have a private terrace and barbecue – perfect for alfresco dining. And when it comes to explorations further afield, follow hiking trails through the Serra de Tramuntana or explore the island’s beautiful beaches – just a short drive away. 

Bay Of Dreams

There's something both at once futuristic and timeless about this villa in the Llucmajor region of Mallorca. The boxy shape, emphasis on clean lines and long shape of the home itself feel strikingly modern, but the white walls, swimming pool and verandah are staples in Mediterranean architecture — and all the more welcome for it in our opinion.

Even if you don't give two figs about design trends, you'll love this home for the sheer amount there is to do here on a hot summer's afternoon. Those partial to a game of golf will appreciate the crazy-style course in the garden, while those who prefer to spend their time doing absolutely nothing will welcome the number of loungers, balconies and alfresco tables. There's even a traditional stone barbecue for whipping up feasts come evening time.

If the small-scale putting gives you a taste for the real thing, Maioris Golf Course is only a three-minute drive away. For those that prefer the beach, Playa S'Arenal takes eleven minutes in the car.

On Eagle's Wings

If, like us, you love browsing a local market when you're away, you're in luck – this lovely apartment is just a one-minute walk from Plaza Mayor with its frequent craft markets, as well as cafes and boutiques. There are another couple of marketplaces a five-minute stroll too. Pick up some flowers from the stalls on Passeig de la Rambla, or browse Mercat de l’Olivar for seafood, cheese, pastries and other local delicacies. For lovers of art, Es Baluard, with its gorgeous rooftop terrace, is under fifteen minutes away. Or, if you prefer to spend the day on the beach, Can Pere Antoni is twenty minutes on foot.

Back at this home, housed in a beautiful 18th-century mansion, open up the French doors to the balcony – they allow light to flood into the open plan living space. A neutral colour scheme, plants, and flowers create a calm and welcoming space. We were surprised when we were here how quiet it was considering its fabulous, central location. This place is perfect for a family, group of friends or business colleagues who want to be in the heart and soul of Palma.



Mansion Marvel

If you love modern art, this home is perfect – it's under a fifteen-minute stroll from Es Baluard Museu d'Art Contemporani de Palma. Once you've admired the hundreds of artworks here, many of which are by artists from the Balearic Islands, head up to its roof terrace for fabulous views over the bay. Or soak in the atmosphere at the historic Plaza Mayor, the heart and soul of Palma Old Town, just a one minute amble from this apartment's quiet street. Other attractions nearby include the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma (La Seu), a six-minute walk away. For a day on the beach, pop over to Can Pere Antoni, which is twenty minutes on foot. Later, if you love browsing a local market like us, there are a couple within a five-minute amble. Olivar Market has lots of local delicacies, or pick up some flowers from the stalls on Passeig de la Rambla and take them back home.

Housed in a beautiful 18th-century mansion, this abode is lovely and light, thanks to French doors that open up to a Juliet balcony. We love the views of the sun-bleached ochre-coloured facades opposite with their jade window shutters. Take the weight off your feet after all that sightseeing and relax on the cream sofa for a while. Later, if you don't fancy eating out, whip up some frito Mallorquin for dinner in the modern kitchen with ingredients from the market, and then enjoy it at your dining table. This Palma bolthole is perfect for a couple, a solo traveller or a business professional.



The Birth Of The Day

Anyone in search of the authentic spirit of island living will be captivated by this home. From the rustic stone and traditional features to the natural tones and simple furnishings, it's the kind of space that sits in perfect harmony with its surroundings. While the rustic living room and bright kitchen are comfortable and inviting, we think you’ll be spending most of your time outside on the patio. Plate up Spanish classics at the alfresco dining table as the barbecue sizzles with local produce. Catch some shade under the parasol or position your chair in a sun-drenched spot. 

Later on, jump in the car and pick a beach. You’re a ten-minute drive from both Sant Elm and Port Andratx. Whichever you choose, you’ll be met with soft golden sands, warm Balearic waters and seafront restaurants serving freshly caught fish and Mallorcan delicacies.

Breezing Through

Set on the outskirts of scenic Valldemossa (a thirty-minute walk away), this characterful homestead is certainly impressive. The fantastic Bay of Palma views are front and centre here, and you can make the most of them in the swimming pool or while sprawled out on the sun loungers. Inside has been designed with complete respect to the home's history – think original floors, timber beams, stone walls, and a restored olive press in the living area. With six en-suite bedrooms, a tennis court, and a gym, there's no doubt there's plenty of room for the whole family. Best of all, breakfast and daily cleanings are included, giving you more time to soak up the Mallorcan rays.

Palma Olive

We think this luxury villa in a smart Llucmajor neighbourhood is a pretty magical place. Located just fifty metres away from the sea, and with a range of amenities to delight the whole family, you're guaranteed to make some lasting memories during your stay. 

The ultra-modern exterior combines geometric shapes and clean lines with glass and wood, for a striking effect. This stylish look continues inside, where you'll find a floating staircase, contemporary art and a chic, neutral colour palette. If you need to work then you can do so in the study, but if it's fun times only for you then you can play some table football or soak in the Jacuzzi tub. Outside, the sparkling pool is great for a refreshing swim and there is plenty of seating where you can soak up the sun. 

Take a wander down to the water's edge to listen to the waves and enjoy a dip in the sea. Lively S'Arenal is just three kilometres away, where you can visit a range of restaurants and bars after spending a day on the sandy beach. And, with historic Palma just twenty kilometres away, it's impossible to run out of things to do. 

Sol y Mar

Live like a local when you stay at this fabulous apartment with its huge, sunny roof terrace. It's located on a quiet street, just a one-minute stroll from historic Plaza Mayor, the heart and soul of Palma Old Town. Or take a six-minute walk to the stunning Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma (La Seu). 

If you love modern art, then make your way over to Es Baluard, under fifteen minutes away – once you've admired the masterpieces, enjoy the views of the city from its fantastic rooftop area. A couple of markets are a mere five-minute saunter from this home too. Pick up some blooms from the flower stalls on Passeig de la Rambla, or for a wide selection of local produce, stop by Olivar Market, the largest covered market in Palma.

Back at this gorgeous home, relax in the sun on the loungers on the roof terrace with its vistas over the neighbourhood. Later, rustle up dinner with some seafood from the market, and then enjoy the fruits of your labour at the outdoor or indoor dining table if you don't fancy eating out. 

We love the light and bright living room with its exposed beams, wooden floors and calming white decor. This apartment, housed in an 18th-century palatial building, is perfect for those looking to be in the centre of sophisticated Palma.


Estepa Blanca

Nestled on the slopes of Cala Llamp, this sleek, modern villa is quite the contrast to the craggy cliffs that surround it. Oozing sophistication, the interiors are chic and deliberately neutral, save for the odd pop of colour and exquisite piece of art. From inside, you can enjoy sea views from almost anywhere – including the luxurious bathtub in the main ensuite – with the blue vistas so stunning, you could be looking at a painting. If you’re not squeezing in a workout in the gym, or for those with a more laidback holiday in mind, relaxing in the private sauna or sampling the finest of wines in the bodega, you’ll be drawn to the outside space like a moth to a flame. 

Settle down on a lounger to soak up the Spanish sun and enjoy a siesta to the relaxing sound of the sea breeze rustling through the palm trees. After a while, hop into your pool and swim to the edge, where you can enjoy the pristine waters of the Mediterranean Sea from a slightly closer perspective. 

The sunsets here are spectacular, so make sure you’re home to enjoy them.
