This beautiful village house is the perfect place to enjoy a holiday in the Luberon region of Provence. The property is located on a hillside on the edge of Gordes, one of France's classified 'Plus Beaux Villages'. The Provençal valley views from the terraced grounds are incredible.

The house has been decorated with refined style and there's an authentic ambience across its elegant lounge, dining room and perfectly equipped kitchen with doors sliding open to the al-fresco dining terrace. Modern additions include air-conditioning throughout, a Sonos music system and Smart TVs in its mezzanine lounge and two of the three bedrooms.

Sleeping up to six guests, the bedrooms are gorgeous, one with a king-size double bed, wood-beamed ceiling and romantic rolltop bath, another with a queen-size double, sofa and en suite shower room and the third en suite with twin beds and lovely views through its little windows. 

Outside, the vistas of Provence will take your breath away whether you are enjoying a glass of Luberon AOC wine on the upper terrace or peacefully reading on the outdoor sofa beneath the poolside pergola. The swimming pool is superb for warm summer days when you don't wish to venture too far. We love the rustic charm of the terraced grounds with old stone steps, pretty pathways and swathes of summer colour.

While the modern decor inside the villa won’t be to everyone’s taste, we love the clean lines and eye-catching artwork. Location wise, you’re in a quiet spot in the countryside but it’s only a short stroll to the nearest village – pretty Ménerbes with its atmospheric narrow streets, medieval houses and charming cafes.

From a pétanque playing area to breath-taking views over the Luberon, it has everything you need for a quintessential French escape, including easy access to the village’s historic centre and the Château de Lacoste. Despite being recently renovated, the interior feels dated in parts, but it’s still nice and cosy, with plenty of room to unwind as a group. And if you need some peace and quiet, the garden is full of hidden corners for kicking back and relaxing with a cheeky glass of wine.

This beautiful, single-level home consists of two separate parts, making it a great option for families and groups of friends who want their privacy. There are plenty of places for coming together and socialising too, with both indoor and outdoor dining, a large pool area and a lush garden. With a pétanque court and table tennis you’re sure to keep busy, although those sun loungers also promise afternoons of relaxing and soaking up the sun. Bear in mind that due to the home’s rather secluded location a car is highly recommended – it also means you’ll be able to explore the picturesque countryside around you.

This 19th-century Provençal villa is the perfect spot for a large family holiday. The French-style landscaped garden is a gem, where you can breakfast surrounded by fruit trees and blooming flowers. The interiors forego country villa for a more contemporary feel – check out the impressive chandelier – but the low-ceilinged attic rooms may not be ideal for taller guests. There's plenty of space to spread out in the rest of the home, including two living rooms, outdoor seating, and a large pool. Little ones will probably spend most of their time in the playground, while adults should take advantage of this home's proximity to Luberon's famous vineyards.

Everything about this home is quintessentially Provençal – from the rustic stone walls, plum-hued shutters and wooden beams, to the solid wood furniture, muted textiles and hand-carved features inside. There’s an air of effortless relaxation, with a touch of artistic flair, throughout. Bright red walls, bottle-green tiles and vintage Boussiet prints in the kitchen will turn cooking into a vibrant adventure rather than a chore – prepare a baguette with lashings of butter and dollops of jam, head outside and devour it on the shaded and plant-surrounded patio. Then stretch out in the garden and soak up every last drop of the same sunlight that inspired Cézanne and Van Gogh, before cooling off in the pool (that’s at least sixteen shades of blue). When you’re ready to expend some energy, head out of your front door and into Luberon National Park where ancient cedars and ochre cliffs come straight from the pages of an Impressionist’s sketchbook. And if you need extra provisions, you’re a twenty minute walk from the gorgeous village of Ménerbes, where bistros and cafes await.

Inside, the open-plan living area is super sunny, thanks to sliding glass doors that lead out onto the terrace. It’s all about the modernity inside and although the staircase is a slick design feature, the open steps aren't suitable for young children.
