Set on the popular Marine Parade in Lyme Regis, this home is an ideal base for a small family or group of friends. You’ll need to take care with the steps and uneven ground here, and because of the desirable location, you may hear a little noise during your stay. But, we think you’ll be too busy soaking up the fresh sea air to notice. The key thing that caught our eye here is the secret passageway to the beach – so stroll down to the sea, after which, a plethora of beachfront eateries await ready to serve up an authentic coastal dinner. 

Fossil Finder

The Jurassic Coast is nearly on your doorstep at this cosy cottage in Charmouth. A great option for families, the open-plan living area has relaxation written all over it. It's a traditional townhome spread across three storeys, so expect steep stairs – especially the set leading up to the top-floor twin bedroom. The fireplace is ideal for chilly evenings, while the private garden is perfect for sundowners at dusk. Keen to dip your toes in the sea? Charmouth Beach is a ten-minute walk away. Or jump in the car and explore all Dorset has to offer.

Collecting Curios

Situated in the town of Lyme Regis in Dorset, this apartment is ideal for a seaside getaway. There’s an enclosed walled garden with lawn and seating areas, which is shared between five apartments. Inside this home, set on the second floor (with no lift), there’s a good-sized living room. And if you want to cook at home, there’s a well-appointed kitchen. Another highlight of this apartment is the location. You’ll be just a short stroll from the seafront, family-friendly beaches and the historic Cobb Harbour, as well as shops and restaurants. 

Gardens & Beaches

Enjoy a wholesome holiday to this English country cottage, based in the ruggedly beautiful county of Dorset. This idyllic dwelling is ideal for a family of six or a group of friends, providing lots of room for everyone to stretch out, while still feeling cosy and quaint. The home has everything you’d expect of a traditional cottage – exposed beams on the ceiling, chintzy William Morris prints on the cushions, and a coal-effect fireplace to get all cuddled up next to. The cottage is based on 20 acres of stunning countryside, which include a lake, a woodland walking trail and a farm with ducks and sheep. The site also has games rooms for you to play some pool or ping pong, plus a playground for the little ones, providing a wonderful location to make some happy memories.

Start your day with a walk around the beautiful lake and spot the birds circling above. Return to your abode to rustle up a delicious English lunch of cheese and pickle sandwiches and pork pies, and tuck in all together on the picnic table on your balcony, while you admire the lovely views that surround you. Take a drive to the coast to visit some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, such as Durdle Door and Chesil Beach, or visit nearby Weymouth to check out seafood restaurants and friendly pubs. When you’re ready to rest, return to your cottage to hunker down by the fire with a glass of wine.


A Dorset Dream

Nestled in the village of Burton Bradstock, yet close to the coast, this cosy cottage serves up the best of both worlds. Full of traditional charm, it’s easy to relax here – just mind your head on those beautiful old beams. Summer months will be well spent catching some rays over a glass of wine in the garden, where you can also dine alfresco unless one of the village pubs tempts you out for something to eat. And if it’s a day on the coast you seek, pick between Hive beach or West Bay beach for a refreshing day by the sea.

Effortlessly blending contemporary with traditional, this Grade II listed cottage in the village of Burton Bradstock is perfect for a tranquil stay. We love the exposed beams and cosy fireplace and the enclosed garden is a bonus – ideal for those with a four-legged friend in tow. With a couple of pubs in the village, dining out is always on the menu, or you can take a short walk across the fields to Hive beach. After a stroll on the sand, the cafe is just the spot for a little sustenance. 

Sunlight Cottage

Just a short stroll from the beach in Lyme Regis, this home is ideally placed for a relaxing coastal break. You can wander to local restaurants, cafes and shops. Plus, it’s a great base fro exploring the Dorset countryside with Axminster, Bridport and Sidmouth all within easy driving distance. After a day of adventure, you can enjoy laidback evening drinks on the private terrace or in the living room by the fire. It’s also a great option for families with the handy addition of a sofa bed in the snug.  

Walk by the Sea

Overlooking the Marine Parade, this apartment is a great option if you’re looking to experience the vibrant heart of Lyme Regis. It’s worth noting it’s possible to hear street noise from the neighbouring bar, but you will have incredible sea views from the cosy living room. A car parking permit can be supplied on request. Plus, you’ll find everything you could need within easy reach. Stroll to the beach or adventure further along the Jurassic Coast towards Sidmouth and Axminster. 

The Way by the Sea

Step inside this charming cottage nestled in the Chilcombe, on the outskirts of Dorset’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With a picturesque lake and the Jurassic Coast, a short distance at your fingertips, this home nestled in a farm of holiday cottages feels like an idyllic rural getaway.

Here, you’ll find a characterful flint exterior with a traditional beamed interior alongside a host of comforting furnishings. The home has a dynamic open-plan living space that’s perfect for socialising and relaxing together. After preparing a delicious dinner with the produce you picked up from the local farm shop, settle in at the wooden dining table, where you can savour your culinary achievements. If the weather is on your side, pop a bottle of sparkling and sip it from your balcony overlooking the landscape, or cosy up in the living room to enjoy a film – perfect for colder nights. 

Stepping outside, you'll find a gorgeous garden and lake as well as a converted games barn – play a few rounds of pool with your loved ones or set about a family tournament of ping pong with the other guests on the farm. When you’re not making the most of the garden, there’s plenty to see nearby – the scenic town of Bridport is nearby and has a host of boutique shops, tea rooms and excellent pubs. Spend a day teeing off one of the local golf courses or enjoy a day on the sands of one of the local beaches, the coast is a ten-minute drive.

Set five minutes back from the beach, this Dorset duplex apartment is a winning combination of appealing location and domestic comfort. Hidden in a lane dating back to Saxon times, the home was once a popular pub, and retains this homely charm across its open plan living room, kitchen and dining area. While the comfy double bedroom is on the ground floor too along with the bathroom, there's also a single bedroom down the stairs, which still gets plenty of natural light. Besides the beach, there's lots to explore in Lyme Regis, including the popular film location of Cobb Harbour – and looking beyond, there's excellent access to England's UNESCO protected Jurassic Coast.

Nestled in the idyllic village of Stoke Abbott, this cottage offers a cosy escape in Dorset. It's a sweet blend of old and new, with a wood-burning fireplace ideal for winter nights and steep traditional stairs. The kitchen oozes country chic and has all the bits and bobs you need, though the pub next door is rather tempting. Outside, the enclosed garden makes the perfect pet-friendly spot to enjoy a tipple in the sunshine. When you're ready to set off and explore, you'll find Bridport (6 miles away), West Bay (a twenty-minute drive) and Lyme Regis (thirty minutes by car) all within easy reach.

Private parking is available and there’s a sweet garden for warm weather days. Inside, the rooms are perfect for families with plenty of space to stretch out and socialise.
