This village house is set on a quiet lane in the charming Cotswolds village of Bledington. While there's plenty of parking space outside, you won't need to drive to get the most out of your stay. The village green and babbling brook are within walking distance, and we think the location is fantastic for a well-behaved dog. The village's famous King's Head pub is a breezy stroll away, but you'll have space outside on the terrace to enjoy an evening drink or an alfresco dinner. Indoors, all the bedrooms are upstairs with their own en-suite bathrooms, and underfloor heating adds a touch of luxury.

This home's architecture, interiors and refined furnishings all share a charming rural feel, but its five acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, filled with topiary, sculptures and lily-padded ponds, tell the tale of Granada's ancient Alhambra fortress. It's a design paradox that we just love. Set in the quaint village of Kingham, there's plenty of great pubs, restaurants and woodland footpaths nearby – you're perfectly placed for exploring the sprawling Cotswolds from this pretty cottage. Upon arrival, recharge your batteries with a hearty meal in the bright and airy dining area, benefitting from soaring ceilings and windows that flood the room with light. Cosy up with a good book around the exposed stone hearth fireplace or knock up few light bites in the modern kitchen with exposed beams overhead. While its rustic features add interest, the heated indoor pool and Turkish Hammam really steal the show – treat yourself to a morning dip, before exploring the gardens or sporting your finest whites on the tennis court. With so much to see and do around the home, we just know you'll run out of time at this peaceful oasis.

The place is packed with original features, including timber beams and stone walls, creating a rustic yet homely feel throughout. We loved how the cosy seating area with log-burning stove opens up into a bright dining space – the perfect spot for cream tea on summer afternoons. When it’s particularly warm out, sit at the bistro set in the garden with a glass of your favourite tipple and a paperback pulled from the bookcase. 

Take a nine-minute drive to Stow-on-the-Wold for its popular Farmer’s Market or stretch your legs with a ramble to Bourton-on-the-Water – it’ll take you an hour-and-a-half by foot. But if you’d prefer to stay put, your host can arrange fantastic at-home experiences including cider tasting and cooking classes.

With countryside walks on your doorstep and many Cotswolds attractions within driving distance, this is a desirable place to be – and we absolutely adore this cottage, which is smack-dab in the centre of town. Once an antique showroom, this inviting homestead is now filled with local artwork – including paintings by the host's grandfather – as well as The Cotswold Company furniture and every amenity you can think of. Snuggle up with a book in front of the wood-burner, challenge the family to a board game around the dining table or relax with a soak in the sumptuous master bathtub. The private courtyard is the perfect spot to savour a cup of tea or a cocktail in the sun. In the evenings, light the barbecue and enjoy an alfresco meal, gathering around the fire pit for toasted marshmallows when the air turns chilly.

Staying here, you’ll be close to beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold, in an excellent location for hiking and cycling. You can also stroll to the village pub – the perfect end to a countryside walk. The cottage has period features galore, including oak beams, mullion windows, and a stone fireplace, alongside modern conveniences like a fully equipped kitchen. There’s a front lawn and a rear courtyard where you can dine alfresco in warm weather.

It's impossible to choose our favourite thing about this cosy Cotswolds cottage. We adore the warm and inviting living area – original wood floors and traditional beams meet modern upgrades like underfloor heating – and with a collection of books, board games and children's toys, there's plenty to keep the whole family busy on rainy days. There's also host Christopher, who goes above and beyond to make your stay here feel like home – after unpacking, make yourself a cup of tea and enjoy a slice of the fresh loaf of bread he leaves on arrival. And we can't forget about the grounds, with a dazzling heated indoor pool, Turkish Hammam steam room and communal tennis court for guests to use. If we had to pick, though, we think the five acres of gardens are pretty spectacular. There's nothing better than an afternoon stroll amongst the greenery, watching birds by the pond, admiring the statues and basking in the views over the Cotswolds. In the centre of it all is a unique pavilion inspired by The Alhambra, the perfect spot for outdoor yoga in the morning sun. But if you'd like a change of scenery, the village has two charming pubs and many of the iconic Cotswolds villages are a short drive away, including Stow-on-the-Wold (fifteen minutes away) and Bourton-on-the-Water (twenty minutes by car).

At the heart of the home is an immaculate kitchen made for action and a large farmhouse dining table for you to all spill out. But if you don't fancy cooking, you're just a stone's throw to some of the best-known eateries and watering holes in the Cotswolds. While just next door, you'll find the Fosse Gallery – considered one of the best art galleries in the country. Now, how's that for a location?

This wisteria-clad home’s private, lawned garden has fantastic views over the Windrush Valley. Inside, there’s all the character you’d expect, including beams, original flagstone floors and an inglenook fireplace with an open fire. This idyllic place promises an unforgettable escape.

You’ll find this charming cottage in Lower Slaughter, providing an ideal base from which to explore the beauty of the Cotswolds. Inside, the home is packed full of old school charm, but it’s the outdoor space that caught our eye. Vast lawns give way to pretty flowerbeds, and there are cosy seating areas to dine or simply kick back with a good book. Locally, there are plenty of walks to enjoy through Lower Slaughter that run along the River Eye, along with a village pub serving delicious meals. Within easy reach, you’ll also find Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford – all much deserving of a visit. 

The Cotswold Idyll

This converted barn is a charming family-friendly home in the little village of Little Rissington. Outside, there is plenty of charm, with a garden to sip wine on summer evenings – fancy a barbecue? Your host can provide one between April and October. The interior is modern but characterful, with a practical kitchen and a log-burning fireplace to cosy up on cooler nights. Location-wise, the Cotswolds offers endless walking trails, and you’ll also find Bourton on the Water and Chipping Norton within easy driving distance.

Once a former stable, this home has been transformed into an elegant country house, perfect for escapes to the Cotswolds. Days here are spent in the great outdoors, dining alfresco on the terrace on long summer evenings, strolling through the estate's lush gardens and roaming the country footpaths on your doorstep. Kids can let loose on the playgrounds and jungle gyms, or they can cook up imaginary meals in the fully decked-out wendy house under the stairs. When you need a break from the sun, retreat into the cosy drawing room or gather by the open fire in the living area. There's also a wooden art nouveau sideboard filled with toys and board games for the whole family to enjoy. We loved the kitchen, in particular – it's a great space for home chefs to try out new dishes, using fresh produce and local ingredients picked up at one of the many Cotswolds farm shops. Speaking of local goodies, the welcome basket is filled with treats, from fresh eggs and a homemade cake to a complimentary bottle of wine. There's also much to get up to on the estate– book a treatment at the spa, take a dip in the indoor pool, play a game of ping-pong in the games room or break a sweat in the gym. But if you're craving a day trip, hop in the car and explore the idyllic Cotswolds villages – Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are both twenty minutes away.

When it's chilly out, throw another log on the fire and sink a little deeper into the comfy couch, a well-thumbed book in hand. But when the weather's glorious, outside is where you'll spend most of your time. The private terrace is an excellent place to tuck into the goodies from the welcome basket – which is filled with local produce, fresh-squeezed apple juice and a complimentary bottle of  Pomerol – while the surrounding gardens have multiple play areas to keep kids entertained. There are also many on-site amenities to entice you, from the spa (considered one of the best by Tatler) and communal games room to the shared indoor pool and gym. If you're looking to go further afield, cycle and hike around the local area or drive for twenty minutes to chocolate-box villages nearby, including Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Burford.
