Escape to the heart of the Cotswolds at this charming home. It’s located just above Stroud and boasts wonderful countryside views, particularly from the dreamy main bedroom. The cosy sitting room looks across the front garden – a marvellous spot for an alfresco breakfast – and can be merged with the attractive kitchen and dining space. Little ones will love the playground across the street, while grown-ups will appreciate being within walking distance of pubs, restaurants, and rural walks. 

The Cotswold View

If you’re in search of an easygoing Cotswolds getaway, this home makes a great option. You’ll find it’s just a short drive or bus ride into the heart of Gloucester city centre, while Cheltenham is also within easy reach. There is a large private garden and the open-plan living room and kitchen lends itself perfectly to social gatherings. It’s worth noting this home isn’t suitable for infants or children, but we think it makes a great spot for a refreshing adults-only escape. 


Sun Whisper

Surrounded by the beautiful Slad Valley, this Georgian home will tick all your holiday boxes. Swim in the heated outdoor pool, enjoy a game of tennis on the private court, or kick back with a movie in the cinema room – there’s something for everyone here. When dinner rolls around, dine in the orangery, in the garden or in the dining room – and while you’re there, see if you can find the secret drinks cabinet, hidden behind the panelled wall. If you can tear yourself away, you’ll find hikes on your doorstep, including the Cotswold and Wysis Way, and a country pub within walking distance. 

A Day in the Cotswolds

Nestled in the quaint village of Amberley, this cottage promises a peaceful stay amidst the picturesque Cotswold countryside. Step through the door, and you’ll find cosy interiors that simply ooze tranquillity. We love the warming wood burner and roll-top bath – just the ticket after a long day exploring the great outdoors. And with vineyard views and walks from your doorstep, embracing nature is sure to be high on the agenda. Don’t feel like cooking after a busy day? Take your pick from the two village pubs for a delicious meal out, or speak to your host about booking a private chef – the ultimate indulgence in your rustic retreat. 

Gloucestershire Gem

Once a coach house to the manor next door, this Grade II listed retreat is now a peaceful place to pause. Tucked among the trees and hidden from view, it offers a quiet escape with just the faintest glimpse of the valley beyond. Inside, the open-plan layout is calm and inviting, with soft tones, rustic textures and a round window that draws your eye outside. Spend mornings walking the Laurie Lee trail, afternoons exploring Stroud’s market stalls, and evenings in the bath or by the window seat, watching the light change. 

The Coachman's Loft

One look at the rolling Painswick Valley views on the horizon from the outdoor seating area, and you'll understand why this cottage made it into our English collection. Tranquil, because of its secluded spot, the house boasts traditional wooden beams, a farmhouse kitchen and a wood-burning stove and pairs it with modern elements. If the large garden doesn't keep the little ones entertained – unlikely – there's also a games room with table football, but they might need help up and down the steep stone staircase to get there. Location-wise, you're near Stroud's renowned Farmer's Market, while Cheltenham is just a 20-minute drive away.

A Taste of the Cotswolds

Located in the village of Chalford in the Frome Valley, this Cotswold stone cottage is just over 4 miles from the market town of Stroud. It’s perfectly situated for exploring the Cotswolds AONB and the nearby trails for walking, hiking or cycling. Sitting in the grounds of the owner's home, a wisteria frames the front door and there’s a warm welcome as soon as you enter from the cosy lounge with its wood-burning stove. Step outside and there’s a lawned garden and decking area, where you can soak up the peaceful surroundings and enjoy alfresco dining. This place is a home away from home.

The Chalford Cottage

Once upon a time, this quaint cottage was actually a barn used to store grain. Since then, it has been lovingly renovated into a dainty holiday home perfect for a small family getaway. Situated on the owners' farm on the outskirts of Cheltenham and close to the village of Shurdington, it's right on the edge of the Cotswolds. The velvet sofas and original wooden beams create a cosy atmosphere which is enhanced when you light up the wood-burning stove on chilly evenings. There's also a private garden where you can grill up a feast to share at the alfresco dining area. Exploring the surrounding countryside is easy from here, whether you're planning to travel on foot, by car, on a bike or even by horseback – that's right, for an additional fee, you can rent a neighbouring stable for your steed. Cheltenham Racecourse is just six miles away, while the charming towns of Bourton-on-the-Water and Bibury are both less than a twenty-mile drive from your front door. 

The Village Farmhouse

This barn conversion, built from traditional Cotswold stone, is the perfect countryside retreat for a larger family or group of friends. With an impressive vaulted living area at the heart of the home, and an expansive garden with several seating options, this home is all about catching up with your loved ones. Kids will love running wild in the lawned garden and playground while adults converse over a drink and fire up the barbecue for an alfresco meal. The wood-burning stove will make the indoors feel lovely and toasty in winter, and the group can get competitive with one of the board games provided. The hamlet of Elkstone is just a five-minute drive away – first mentioned in the Domesday Book, it's one of the highest settlements in the Cotswolds, with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. This barn conversion is situated on a small working dairy farm in Painswick Valley, less than a twenty-minute drive from Gloucester. Four fishing lakes are within the wider grounds, so keen anglers should bring their rods. If you’d prefer to stay put, there is a courtyard with outside seating for relaxing with a cup of tea. Inside, the wood-burning stove is a welcome addition in the cooler months and flexible sleeping in the fourth bedroom makes this place ideal for any family or group of friends staying together.
