Set in the pretty village of Osmotherley, this charming stone cottage is the perfect spot for families and friends looking to explore the legendary North York Moors and beyond. You'll feel like you've walked into a Period Living magazine photo shoot as soon as you step foot inside this magical home. You'll be greeted with exposed wooden beams, flagstone floors, big original windows, and a warming fireplace. Don't let the antiques fool you though. The essential spaces like the bathroom and kitchen are super sleek and modern - this cottage is fully-equipped with a country twist. For fun evenings in, gather everyone together with good food and red wine around the stunning rustic dining table. The home is perfectly placed for exploring the local area. Take a hike across the spectacular moors, drive to the postcard village of Robin Hood Bay, investigate the local legend of Dracula, and feast on fish and chips in Whitby. Forget about the city in this country home, surrounded by sublime nature.

Peach Cobbler

In the heart of Pickering, this stone charmer is just a six-minute walk from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Inside, wooden beams and ornamental fireplaces reflect the home's 200-year-old history, while two cosy lounges – including one with a log burner – provide plenty of space to sprawl out. We're especially fond of the rear garden, which is a sweet spot to enjoy a morning brew or an alfresco G&T. A huge perk is that this pad is pet-friendly, welcoming one well-behaved dog to join in on the fun. Despite the plain bedrooms and basic bathrooms, overall, we think it's a good option for families keen to explore North Yorkshire.

Holly & Stone

Helmsley is a town drenched in unique attractions. A vibrant market selling chic items sits nearby to Michelin-star restaurants, showcasing the town's diversity. Furthering the allure, a microbrewery rests in the centre, offering a wide selection of bespoke beers. 

Instead of chains and everyday stores, you'll find a sea of independent shops, cool boutiques and cute craft stores. Find an enticing mixture of books, jewellery and on-trend clothing in the distinctive shopping scene. 

After a day of shopping, visit the quaint pubs or stop off for a spot of fish and chips. If you fancy a display of culture, the Arts Centre is brimming with captivating artwork. 

The whole town of Helmsley is laced with charm and character, and so is your luxurious home. Stylish and homespun, it exudes a calming sense of serenity at all times. Curl up with a book in front of the fireplace or sit out in the garden with a glass of wine. 



On The Market

Spend cosy family getaways with this base in Muston as your comfy base. Just a five-minute drive away from the coastal trails, impressive rock pools and sandy beach of Filey – from here, you'll get to experience both the eastern England coastline as well as the fabulous Yorkshire countryside. 

And with comfort and charm at the heart of this home's aesthetic, it's safe to say chilling out and reconnecting with nature comes easy here. With four bedrooms and two main living areas, you'll find plenty of space to relax after spending fun-filled days amidst the local nature. When it's sunny, why not enjoy an aperitif out on the patio?  During the evenings, the complimentary Netflix invites you to snuggle up on the sofas in front of your favourite films and TV shows. 

With the likes of Bridlington and Scarborough between a twenty and twenty-five-minute drive away, you'll find plenty to see and do beyond the slow-paced way of life in Filey. However, slowing down, switching off and forgetting the worries of life's daily routines is very much encouraged when enjoying a stay at this humbling retreat. 




Sandy Trails

This elegant cottage in the ancient town of Pickering had us on the private outdoor terrace alone. But step inside, and this home keeps on surprising. 

We'd call it a love nest for two, but it's just too big for that. Crash out in the snuggly living room, with rattan accents and statement lighting, bringing a dash of modernity. Rustle up a meal in the made-for-action gallery kitchen. Then settle down for a tête-à-tête and evening meal in the separate dining room, with french doors leading out onto that terrace. 
When legs are weary after days exploring the Yorkshire Dales, sink into the enormous freestanding bath, and upstairs, a luxurious bedroom awaits to bank a peaceful night's sleep. 

Just outside this home, wander-worthy cobbled streets lead down to a medieval castle and the town's very own steam railway station to transport you back in time (both less than five minutes on foot). 

There's plenty to do in the lands beyond, too, if you'd rather up the ante. The North York Moors national park is just a three-minute drive away (forty minutes on foot). 

And when thoughts turn to food, there are some delightful pubs just moments away. And a charming tearoom for your fix of Yorkshire Fat Rascals is dangerously close - it's just below your door.

Pat-a-Cake

Full of countryside charm, this Grade II listed farmhouse is a perfect place for a family gathering. The flexible sleeping arrangements mean the bedrooms can be split into single beds if preferred, so whatever your set-up, it can be accommodated with ease. With plenty of space for everyone to spread out and a snooker room to enjoy some game time, you can socialise or settle down in a quiet nook. Locally, a guided walk of the deer park is a must, with the red deer herd visible from the house. 

The Lincolnshire Sun

Brand new for 2023, welcome to The property, a secluded and delightful holiday apartment nestled in the picturesque heart of Pickering, North Yorkshire. Offering a splendid haven for two guests, this contemporary and stylish retreat serves as a comfortable and welcoming base for intrepid explorers seeking the wonders of the local area. Impeccably designed and recently refurbished for the year 2023, the open-plan living space boasts abundant natural light streaming through its generous windows. Sink into the plush sofa, complete with Smart TV and complimentary Wi-Fi for the duration of your stay. Discover a modern, well-equipped kitchen, with all mod cons needed for a self-catering stay. Outside you can meander down to the serene riverside, where you can take in the breath-taking scenery of the surrounding countryside. During the summer months, a communal BBQ and picnic area are available, allowing for delightful alfresco dining experiences. Victory Mill, formerly an operational mill and rechristened after the Second World War, graciously accommodates up to two guests.

Lush River Retreat

Fit for a family on a getaway to the sea, this charming apartment in Filey has everything you'll need. We love the sleek grey kitchen and the sumptuous L-shaped sofa, in particular. Spend lazy days playing board games and watching films on the smart TV, savouring a cup of hot cocoa or a steaming coffee from the Nespresso machine when you need a pick-me-up. Both bedrooms are comfortable and ooze coastal charm, while the bathrooms are glossy and stylish, complete with rainfall showers. But our favourite bit of all is the excellent location. You're only a five-minute walk away from Filey Beach, so pack a towel, grab an ice cream and while away afternoons on the sand. If you're in the mood for a walk, the Cleveland Way starts here – lace up your shoes and trek along the coastal path. And there's no better way to end the evening than with a pint and a delicious meal at one of the many pubs in town – most of which are within walking distance.

To Be The Sand

Perched on the edge of the magnificent Lincolnshire Wolds, this home will suit families who love to get outside and explore. A renovated schoolhouse, the property has an enormous garden and is well-placed for walking and cycling in the surrounding countryside. The interior has been renovated to a high standard, with a clean, modern twist on country living. We love the cute animal prints and pastel colours in the kid’s bedroom and the cosy fireside set up in the living room. With three bedrooms, this would make a great retreat for a multi-generational getaway.
