In the heart of central London, this contemporary apartment puts famous landmarks at your fingertips. Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, and the Tate Britain are all within walking distance. You can mosey along the Thames towards Tower Bridge and the London Eye or hop on the Tube at Vauxhall to explore further afield. The decor has been carefully curated by your friendly host, making it a relaxing respite from the hustle and bustle outside. You'll even benefit from air conditioning to keep things cool – quite rare in the city. Factor in the proximity to pubs and eateries (including The Black Dog, a favourite of Taylor Swift) and it's easy to see why it caught our eye.

McQueen's

Five minutes from Vauxhall Station and boasting views of the Thames, this apartment is well-connected for sightseeing. Stroll along the river to Big Ben, Tate Britain, and the London Eye. Don't fancy a walk? Explore by boat and hop on the nearby Thames Clipper instead. With a slew of eateries and shops in the area, you'll also have plenty to do locally. Our favourite feature is the balcony – it's the best spot to admire the scenery and enjoy an evening tipple. The living space is bright and stylishly modern, while the duo of bedrooms have a good night's sleep covered. We think it's a convenient and contemporary base in a central location. 

Waterside Modern

You’ll find this streamlined apartment in the heart of Clerkenwell, just over a fifteen-minute walk from the British Museum and five minutes from the bustling Leather Lane Market. Whether you’re staying for a while or just a weekend, the place has everything you need to feel right at home, from a well-appointed kitchen to a handy welcome pack with essentials to get you started. Just so you know, there’s not enough seating for a group of six at the dining table, but with endless restaurants on the doorstep, we think you’ll be eating out most of the time anyway. 

The Brandy Oak

This stylish apartment epitomises classy London living in one of the city's most sought-after areas. The interiors blend elegant townhouse style with contemporary elements, including modern art and statement lighting. It's the perfect home for entertaining, with a separate dining room and multiple terraces for evening drinks. Walk-in wardrobes are a necessity given the location – just a fifteen-minute walk from the luxury shops of Knightsbridge (including Harrods) and the boutiques on King's Road in Chelsea. While there's plenty to keep you occupied in the local area, Sloane Square tube station is just ten minutes away.

Blissful Echo

We were bowled over by this apartment's location, just over a fifteen-minute walk from The Oval cricket ground. It has been the home of Surrey County Cricket Club since it was opened in 1845 and is a regular venue for test match cricket. 

If you're stumped for other places to go in the area, then head to Beaconsfield Contemporary Art (seven minutes on foot) – there's a lovely vegan café here too. Or one of London's best-loved attractions, the London Eye, is under a thirty-minute walk. History lovers, on the other hand, can visit the Imperial War Museum, a twelve-minute stroll away. It's the same walking distance to the Beefeater Gin Distillery, where you can take a tour or stop off at one of the many restaurants on the doorstep of this belter of a home. 

Relax on the sunny balcony with a drink in hand – we were hit for six when we saw the vistas over the capital's skyline. The living space is light and bright, thanks to its large patio doors, allowing light to flood in. After all that exploring, have a soak in the bath and then relax on the comfy sofa. This place is the perfect pad for a couple or solo traveller looking to take advantage of all that London has to offer.


Bowled Over

This attractive London apartment makes for a dreamy home-from-home in the city. It sits on the banks of the River Thames and boasts incredible views over London’s iconic sights including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and the London Eye. From a covered terrace, you can watch boats sail by – though the views are just as impressive inside thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. We love the dining area beside the windows, and the cosy living space. This home has everything you might need for a practical and comfortable stay. 

River & Glass

This is a unique house with a distinctive kitchen, that has been extended using geometric shapes. It creates a social space for cooking, reading, sitting and access to the garden. A house with colour and entertainment only 10 mins walk to The Thames.

Vincent

This Vauxhall home is an ideal base for a London getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Sure, you can hear some Tube noise here, but it’s a small price to pay for a home spanning four floors. Comfortable for larger groups, there’s plenty of space to spread out here, and those in the city on business will appreciate the office for remote working. The cherry on top for us is the walled garden – just the spot for morning coffee before a day of sightseeing. Locally, cricket fans will adore the proximity to the iconic Oval, while shopaholics can head to Battersea Power Station for a little retail therapy.

Silver Vauxhall Vibes

Time travel back to the swinging psychedelic sixties with a stay in this beautifully curated apartment, located in the heart of Mayfair. Sitting within a building dating back to the 1730s, it’s the earliest surviving house in the area and was modernised in 1821 by Thomas Cubitt – the same master builder who constructed Buckingham Palace’s facade. 
 
Packed full of Art Nouveau and early Art Deco antiques – styles that signalled fashion and rebellion in the 1960s – there’s a definite touch of retro glamour in the living room, paired with vibrant pop art prints of the Beatles and swish velvet furnishings that effortlessly channel sixties cool. Kick back on the sofa with a glass of wine after a day of exploring or gather around the elegant dining table for a sophisticated soirée when you’re not out soaking up the lively atmosphere of Central London at night. 
 
The two bedrooms, meanwhile, are equally plush with their comfortable beds and extravagant colour schemes and each boasts a desk space should you need to catch up on work. Factor in the sleek bathroom with its rainfall shower, and you’ve got everything you need for a stylishly vintage stay. 
 
When it comes to exploring, trace the steps of the young, vibrant '60s socialites who worked in the area – like Terence Donovan, David Bailey, and John Cowan who had their studios on your street – or treat yourself to some retail therapy along Oxford Street, a six-minute walk away. You’re also a twelve-minute stroll from leafy Hyde Park, while Soho is thirteen minutes away on foot.

Swinging Psychedelia

You’ll find this chic, modern pad in Battersea, nestled next to the River Thames with views that you’ll never tire of. Perfect for a couple’s retreat or solo traveller, this cosy home has everything needed for a relaxing stay in the city – but the icing on the cake is the outdoor space. With a wrap-around terrace, you can take your pick of vantage points to enjoy the view – it’s just the spot for alfresco meals or a glass of wine at the end of the day. Location-wise, of course, a visit to Battersea Power Station is a must – and you’re in luck, it’s just a stone’s throw away. 

Riverside Wonder

Just a short stroll from the River Thames, this home is the ideal base for an exciting city stay. You can stroll to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Tate Britain. There are a great selection of shops and restaurants in the area, while the close proximity to Pimlico and Victoria stations means it's easy to explore further afield. The house is set across three levels and offers an abundance of space for families to stretch out and socialise. Remote workers will appreciate the dedicated desk space, while everyone can enjoy drinks in the private garden. 


House of Love

A modern retreat, this apartment can be found in St George’s Wharf, right beside the Thames. You’ll be able to enjoy views of the River Thames and the London skyline from the comfort of your living room and the balcony. Two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living room, so if you’re hoping for more privacy we’d stick to a maximum of four guests. The Tate Britain is nearby, and you’ll be able to visit the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament easily, especially if you hop on a Thames river cruise.
