We were bowled over by this apartment's location, just over a fifteen-minute walk from The Oval cricket ground. It has been the home of Surrey County Cricket Club since it was opened in 1845 and is a regular venue for test match cricket. 

If you're stumped for other places to go in the area, then head to Beaconsfield Contemporary Art (seven minutes on foot) – there's a lovely vegan café here too. Or one of London's best-loved attractions, the London Eye, is under a thirty-minute walk. History lovers, on the other hand, can visit the Imperial War Museum, a twelve-minute stroll away. It's the same walking distance to the Beefeater Gin Distillery, where you can take a tour or stop off at one of the many restaurants on the doorstep of this belter of a home. 

Relax on the sunny balcony with a drink in hand – we were hit for six when we saw the vistas over the capital's skyline. The living space is light and bright, thanks to its large patio doors, allowing light to flood in. After all that exploring, have a soak in the bath and then relax on the comfy sofa. This place is the perfect pad for a couple or solo traveller looking to take advantage of all that London has to offer.

One of the bedrooms is a tad snug, but we think that's a worthwhile trade, especially in such a central location. Elephant & Castle Station is less than ten minutes on foot, while sightseeing hotspots like the South Bank, Westminster, and Buckingham Palace are also within easy reach. You'll find this Kennington townhome just a fifteen-minute walk from The Oval. Even if you're not in town for cricket, the Tube is only a short walk away and connects you with London's many hotspots. We love the tube-inspired artwork decking the walls, and the large kitchen area that has everything from an espresso machine to a cast-iron juice press to make whipping up meals a cinch. The bedroom at the back of the home, meanwhile, is a serene space that leads out onto a private patio garden. Enjoy your morning coffee here while catching some early rays, or retreat to this peaceful spot for sundowners to finish the day on a high. Sit back on the small balcony and watch the boats pass by, or take in the scenery from the living room – the floor-to-ceiling glass wall looks right onto the water. A desk in the main bedroom is ideal for remote working. There's also a sofa bed for guests five and six, though space may be a squeeze with it in use. Location-wise, you'll find this pad in Nine Elms. An easy stroll along the Thames Path will take you to Battersea Power Station, while Vauxhall Station is just five minutes away – perfect for getting around the city.

Five minutes from Vauxhall Station and boasting views of the Thames, this apartment is well-connected for sightseeing. Stroll along the river to Big Ben, Tate Britain, and the London Eye. Don't fancy a walk? Explore by boat and hop on the nearby Thames Clipper instead. With a slew of eateries and shops in the area, you'll also have plenty to do locally. Our favourite feature is the balcony – it's the best spot to admire the scenery and enjoy an evening tipple. The living space is bright and stylishly modern, while the duo of bedrooms have a good night's sleep covered. We think it's a convenient and contemporary base in a central location.

Fantastically located in Vauxhall, just walking distance to Westminster and all the sights, this home is a great option for a family to call theirs during their London stay. Once upon a time an 1800's gin house, you'll sure to fall in love it.

Now, that's what we call a view. Overlooking the River Thames, this apartment makes quite the first impression. The panoramas speak for themselves, especially with floor-to-ceiling windows putting them into perspective. You can also enjoy the scenery from the private balcony. Views aside, the living space is bright and comfortable, boasting a sofa bed for guests five and six. When you're ready to explore, Battersea Power Station is about a twenty-minute walk down the river and is home to shops and restaurants. You're also a stone's throw from Vauxhall Station for adventures further afield.

Factor in the proximity to pubs and eateries (including The Black Dog, a favourite of Taylor Swift) and it's easy to see why it caught our eye.

This modern apartment ticks all the boxes for a central stay. The contemporary design is ultra-cool, with plenty of space across the bedrooms and living area to settle in. Want to make the most of summer weather? Pad out to the private balcony, the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee or cocktail in the fresh air. You'll also have access to the building's shared co-working space and communal gym. As for location, Elephant and Castle is incredibly well-connected. Borough Market is about a ten-minute stroll away, while a Tube station is even closer for those keen to explore London.

The home itself isn't anything to brag about, but it's central location more than makes up for the minimalistic interiors. And, of course, you're surrounded by shops, museums and restaurants.
