The garden of this home is particularly special. The outside seating area is tailor-made for enjoying an evening tipple. Why not sample the local Lindway Brook champagne and toast to making wonderful memories? When the light starts to fade, head inside and put your feet up in the lounge while the wood burner glows away.

Being situated in the Peak District, this cottage is in an ideal location to make the most of one of the UK's most beautiful regions. Get the boots on and hike one of the many trails here, or jump on two wheels and cycle to a nearby destination. We recommend the seventy-minute cycle to Buxton – a lovely town dating back to the Roman times that's known for its natural thermal springs. Soak your tired muscles before heading back to the cottage for the evening.

Green Fields

On a sprawling estate in the heart of Sherwood Forest, this manor is perfect for big groups looking for country strolls and myriad entertainment options. Apart from a private hot tub, tennis courts and a state-of-the-art barbecue station, there are woodland walks and lawn games to fill your days here. Come evening, retire to one of many lavish lounges inside, or gather in the banquet-sized dining table. Kids and big kids will enjoy the games room with its pool table and retro arcade games and if you’re hosting a special celebration, there’s a function room that can seat up to 50 people in grand surrounds. This is one of those spots where memories are made.

The Country Slicker

Beyond this home’s landscaped garden, it’s nothing but fields as far as the eye can see. You’re in a tiny West Yorkshire village, just a short hop in the car from the natural wonders of the Peak District. The exterior is honey-stone perfection with a plant-filled garden providing an al fresco spot for drinks and lounging in the sunshine. Glass doors fold back from the dining room for meals that feel as though they’re outside. A modern interior – black walls and leather sofas – is a far cry from the cottage exterior, but doesn’t take away from the comfort of this country bolthole.   

Heart of The Hills

Found in the centre of town, a thirteen-minute walk from Lincoln's iconic Cathedral, this large family home has been restored with comfort and style in mind. Especially so, given the size of the two lounges. Add the dining area into the equation and the chef's kitchen (complete with four ovens), and you can see how there's plenty of room for everyone to carve out their own space. Two pull-out beds and two single sofa beds keep sleeping arrangements flexible, although these are best for children as they're on the smaller side. 

Step out through the bi-fold doors onto a large patio area with garden furniture for seamless indoor and outdoor dining. Down from the patio is a large grass area and a hot tub suitable for seven people. This is the perfect garden for summer socials and barbecues.

Blue Velvet & Cedar

Nestled among the striking Victorian architecture, lush gardens and fashionable shops, this three-story home offers a stylish retreat in the heart of Harrogate. 

Inside, you'll find chic design touches as well as some quirky features such as a dedicated beauty room, decked out in blush pink, gold and marble – the perfect spot to get ready for a night out in the town centre.

This quirky flat in Sheffield has urban cool written all over it. Lush greens, bold oranges, leafy plants and bamboo accents give the place a natural, bohemian flair. We think it's as cosy as it is stylish, making it an excellent base to come home to after a busy day. The private balcony is the icing on the cake – it's the perfect spot to sip morning coffees and evening cocktails as the sun goes down. Everything you need for a relaxed stay is taken care of – there are two stylish bathrooms so nobody needs to wait in line, Netflix on the smart TV if you want to chill at home and a desk if you need to do a bit of work. Cooking is anything but a chore in the sleek kitchen, which has plenty of dinnerware for when you're in the mood to rustle up a meal. Java junkies will also be pleased to see both a Nespresso machine and a cafetiere. Best of all, the location is pretty much perfect. Set in vibrant Kelham Island, there's a wealth of independent eateries, bars, music venues and pubs within walking distance. Plus, the city centre is just a twenty-minute stroll away – trust us, you'll never be short on things to do here.

Are You Mine

Within a mile of Sheffield's city centre, this contemporary home makes a good base for your adventures. Broomhall is home to tree-lined streets, coffee shops and pubs, two universities, and Sheffield Botanical Gardens. It's quiet yet still close to all the action. Back home, you can enjoy sunny days in the private garden or spend chilly evenings getting cosy in the living area. In addition to the three comfortable bedrooms, the lounge features a sofa bed for one guest. Desks are available for digital nomads, a sleek kitchen is ideal for home chefs, and pets are welcome to tag along for a fee.

Broomhall in Bloom

Sitting on the edge of a nature reserve that's home to wild Exmoor ponies, this Victorian cottage is a perfectly picturesque rural escape. The antique-filled living room comes with a wood-burning stove that will be especially appreciated after long walks out in Lincolnshire, while the country-style kitchen is a charming spot for cooking hearty dinners. When the weather allows, you can also head out into the garden and light up the fire pit when it's time for star-watching.

That would be reason enough to visit, but there's a great range of attractions on the local farm that sweeten the deal even more. A minute's walk from the front door is a natural spa in which you can book a session and be pampered, while you can also try your hand at various outdoor activities, including archery and axe-throwing. There are even onsite private catering options, just in case you'd like dinner or afternoon tea delivered to your door. 

When it comes to getting to know the local area a little better, you're spoilt for choice when it comes to historic market towns, country parks and walking routes, while Scunthorpe is only a ten-minute drive away when you need shops and restaurants.

Old Mother Nature's Recipes

Set in one of the most beautiful parts of Yorkshire, this formerly derelict barn was chanced across by its owners in 2015, and lovingly converted into the stunning home it is today. The vibe is English country, with real moments of grandeur. With antlers on the walls, fine china ornaments, touches of tartan, and a solid teak dining table that wouldn’t look out of place in a stately home, it’s the kind of place you can imagine a hunting party coming back to after a day out on the moors. The grand feel continues in the bedrooms, each of which is as luxurious as the last but has its own unique design. We can see ourselves spending windswept days walking the hills of God’s Own Country before returning to pre-dinner drinks by the fire in the snug (the original stone floor is particularly gorgeous). Once the kids are set up with a movie in the second living room, a candlelit meal around the dining table beckons, followed by a session in the wood-fired hot tub.    

Yorkshire Homestead

This blissful getaway in the Derbyshire countryside boasts spectacularly scenic views and an unrivalled level of tranquillity, the perfect place to unplug, unwind and rejuvenate amidst the abundance of local wildlife and nature. Set within 55 acres of private farmland, you'll find surrounding natural beauty in every direction that you look. Explore the gardens and fruit orchards on the grounds, where you'll find plenty of peaceful spots to meditate or do some yoga. The host even leaves yoga equipment inside for guests to use at their leisure. While you'll have plenty of privacy here, this place provides ample opportunity to socialise with the farm's flock of sheep, lambs, hens, and peacocks if you please. 

Inside, enjoy taking in the sweeping country views from the open-plan living area in style. Contemporary furnishings with a gorgeous green colour palette that nods to the surrounding flora and fauna present a calming space to feel at home in. Serve up homemade meals at the dining table after delightful days of discovering the local area. Relax in the private gardens, perfect for summer lunches and lawn games in the sunshine. Come evening time, there's no better spot than the fairy-light lit alcove to watch the sun set over the horizon. 

Nestled within ten minute's walking distance from the village of Rowsley, take afternoon strolls along the River Wye, or lace up your boots and hike to Nine Ladies Stone Circle on Stanton Moor. Further afield, you're just a ten-minute drive from the picturesque and historic market town of Bakewell, and five minutes from one of the country’s finest estates, Chatsworth House, home to an impressive art collection, beautiful gardens, water features and acres of park and woodland.

Peak Views

Full of countryside charm, this Grade II listed farmhouse is a perfect place for a family gathering. The flexible sleeping arrangements mean the bedrooms can be split into single beds if preferred, so whatever your set-up, it can be accommodated with ease. With plenty of space for everyone to spread out and a snooker room to enjoy some game time, you can socialise or settle down in a quiet nook. Locally, a guided walk of the deer park is a must, with the red deer herd visible from the house. 

The Lincolnshire Sun

Lying on the banks of the River Wye, surrounded by beautiful valleys and the pretty courtyards of Bakewell, this charming cottage offers spectacular scenery and plenty of creature comforts. A Grade II listed building dating back to the 17th century, this home has been carefully converted whilst retaining some of its original features. Wooden ceiling beams and an open fire housed in stone remind you of times gone by, while the contemporary kitchen and sumptuous seating areas bring a little luxury into the equation. 

Step outside and you'll find a gorgeous garden, complete with a patio and dining table. This is the perfect spot to spend a morning drinking coffee and planning the day ahead. When it comes to exploring, you won't be short of things to see and do here. Bakewell is widely considered a gem of the Peak District, thanks to its Anglo-Saxon roots and plethora of award-winning restaurants and pubs. Home to the iconic Bakewell pudding, it's safe to say that foodies will be in their element here. You've also got the Derbyshire countryside on your doorstep, meaning you can enjoy the fresh air and fine walks with the dog every day. For more adventurous hikes, the snow-capped mountains of the Peak District are a short drive away.
