This 19th-century Cotswold cottage is perfect for an idyllic escape to the country. With a private garden full of hidden nooks outside, and a cosy log-burner inside, you’re set for any season here. We love the period features at this home, although the low ceilings may not suit taller guests. Location-wise, you’re in the village of Deddington, where you can browse the antique shops, stock up on goodies at the bakery, and enjoy a pint in one of the local pubs after walking the dog. And if day trips are on the cards, Blenheim Palace – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – is a fifteen-minute drive away.

The Charming Cottage

A detached annexe in the peaceful Cambridgeshire countryside, this modern retreat invites guests to relax, unwind and reconnect with nature. 

Set in the garden of the owner's house, you'll have completely private access to this one-bedroom annexe featuring an open-plan kitchen and living area as well as joint access to the shared garden. With optimal space and contemporary finishings throughout – you'll find comfort and practicality in each and every room. 

From the home, you'll be within easy reach of the local train station at Huntingdon, just a seven-minute drive away. Meanwhile, a day excursion to St Ives is just a seven-minute drive away and the city of Cambridge is only a thirty-minute car journey away.  





Lifting You 

Marrying sophisticated Regency style with contemporary aesthetics, this classy pad is the perfect base to explore Leamington Spa and its surrounding area. Relax in the chic living room, equipped with a velvet button-back sofa, boutique-style furnishings and a vast sash window looking out to the elegant townhouse-flanked street.

The tasteful decor continues into the double bedroom, which is located at the back of the building, promising a restful night's sleep. Wake up each morning and prepare a hearty breakfast to enjoy at the bright dining table – the pistachio-coloured fridge is a particular highlight for us.

Find yourself in Leamington Spa's centre in less than five minutes on foot, and enjoy the array of luxury boutiques and trendy eateries on offer. The pretty town of Warwick is just a ten-minute drive away, home to an enchanting medieval castle built by William the Conqueror. This fascinating landmark makes for a memorable day out, with guided tours appealing to adults and children alike.

Regency Rest

In the middle of the quaint Northamptonshire village of Maidford lies this lovingly renovated Georgian rectory ideal for large family getaways. Each room tells a different story, with unique finds ranging from antique plates to watchful bird art and even a crocodile in the downstairs loo – a model one, don't be alarmed! At every turn, this stunning home manages to surpass expectations.

In the ten acres of grounds surrounding the property, you'll discover a heated swimming pool, a barbecue, a huge alfresco dining area and manicured gardens where you can escape for a moment's peace. Say hello to the bantam chickens wandering about, too – they're sure to be firm friends by the end of your stay. There's even a games room so you can start up a table tennis tournament or practise your putting on the mini-green. 

When you fancy a day out, the stately home and gardens at Canons Abbey are twenty minutes away in the car, while the ears of motorsports fans are certain to prick up when they hear the journey to Silverstone's hallowed circuit takes about half that time.

Old Rectory

This cosy home is the perfect rest point for a romantic getaway to the riverside town of Marlow. Snuggle up together on the sofa to watch a movie on the TV as the smell of a delicious homecooked meal wafts throughout the house. Enjoy your tasty plate of food at the dining table with a documentary on the screen as you socialise with your loved one, planning a fun itinerary of what you'll be up to in the town. If you're fancying a relaxing day in, get under the duvet to read a new book you picked up recently as you sip on a toasty cup of coffee. If weather permits, head out to the bench outdoors to dine alfresco with a hearty meal, washed down with a sumptuous glass of red – or sparkling bubbly.

Wander the streets of Marlow to see what you can find – there's a gorgeous Vietnamese restaurant nearby as well as a great selection of rustic pubs to unwind in as you enjoy a pint or two. A short drive takes you to the verdant Higginson Park where you get a fantastic view of the river and is a lovely spot for a picnic. 

River Rest

Part of Rectory Farm in the East Midlands (fifteen minutes from the lovely Market Harborough), this slick barn conversion is the epitome of luxury country living. Outside, you're surrounded by fourteen acres of rolling countryside, while inside, soft furnishings, mood lighting and striking original artwork create a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. We loved the folding glass wall in particular – it overlooks the landscaped garden, and on warm days, you can open the doors and bring the outdoors inside. Spend days roaming the grounds and finish the evenings with a board game or family movie night in the lounge. Your hosts have considered every single detail, and the list of mod-cons feels endless – we're talking a popcorn maker, electric blackout blinds, power showers, no less than four Amazon echos, two smart TVs with Netflix, an Xbox One (complete with games) and a super high-spec kitchen that has everything you'll need to rustle up a delicious dinner. During the winter, the underfloor heating protects toes from getting chilly, and there's a full summer kitchen with a gas barbecue and seating for eight on those long summer nights. And if you're worried about the strain all the gadgets might put on the environment? Don't be – the hosts have even considered that, and the whole home runs on solar power and air-source heating.

Rectory Barn

Unique and charming, this round house is located on a working farm in the quaint village of Chacombe in Oxfordshire. It’s spread over three floors and boasts far-reaching countryside views that provide inspiration for walks during your stay. From here, you can easily visit Broughton Castle and the National Trust’s Upton House and Gardens, or simply explore the farmland. When you’re not outside enjoying the fresh air, you’ll likely spend most of your time in the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space, where you can cook together before curling up on a comfy sofa. 


Round the Twist

This home is just as charming as the idyllic town in which it sits. The interior eschews minimalism for full-on floral patterns, characterful pieces of botanical artwork and vintage-inspired furnishings — can you honestly say you weren't happy to see that four-poster bed?

While the kitchen may be on the smaller side and lacks a hob, oven or cooking facilities, fortunately, there are plenty of restaurants in Woodstock, from a brasserie to less formal pubs. In addition, Blenheim Palace and its surrounding parkland can be entered in three mintues' walk from your front door. Further afield, the walking routes and viewpoints of the Cotswolds AONB can be reached easily in the car.

Masterpiece

Part of a lovingly converted farm building set within seventy acres of meadowland, this cottage embodies the Cotswold spirit. The interior is a handsome mix of wood panelling, exposed stonework and roaring fires, although there's plenty of modern amenities tastefully added in too — it’s easy to see why it bagged so many tourism awards. As it's part of a small community of five homes, there's also a wealth of communal amenities to enjoy, ranging from a hot tub and a hammock outside, to the combined games and workout room which is packed full of ways to while away rainy days. When the weather does play ball, you can play croquet, badminton, volleyball, Giant Jenga or try your hand at kite-flying. Alternatively, you can lace up your walking boots and head out into the countryside for a bracing walk. The town of Chipping Norton can be reached in ten minutes by car, too.


The Walnut Tree

This fantastic dovecot conversion pairs thoughtful, rustic decor with high tech amenities including air conditioning, Netflix, Xbox, Amazon Echo and ultra-fast internet. If you would rather unplug, the free-standing rolltop bathtub is a particular highlight, accompanied by a selection of luxury toiletries for your pleasure. Use it all guilt-free – solar power, air source heating and filtered well water make this an environmentally friendly retreat. 

Though set in a private fourteen-acre estate, this country cottage is within easy distance of local amenities. The historic hamlet of Market Harborough is just a ten-minute drive away, where you'll find a host of independent shops and traditional British eateries. Stop off at the Haddon Fields on your way back and enjoy a gentle stroll through the woodland. Once you've worked up an appetite, return to your dovecot digs in time to soak up the last of the day's light with an al fresco meal on the terrace.

Rectory Cottage

This Georgian abode began its life as two 18th century coach houses and was expertly combined in the 1930s to create one impressive golf pavilion. Now a swish family home, the place is a seamless blend of contemporary design, plush materials and old-world charm. A sophisticated living space dressed in rich chocolate brown, features a huge open hearth and glittering chandeliers. Make yourself comfortable on the squashy Chesterfield as the more musically inclined member of your group provides the soundtrack on the piano. Outside, a glorious leafy canopy provides cool shade in the heights of the summer and makes for an excellent spot to admire your idyllic getaway. You’ve an acre of grounds to explore and a Summer House for stolen moments with your favourite book plus a sunken trampoline for big and little kids alike. Yomp through the surrounding countryside, bask in nature at Draycote Water (a twenty-minute drive away) or visit the famous town of Rugby – it’ll take you no more than fifteen minutes by car. 

Dandelions & Daisies

This beautiful converted barn is the perfect choice for a relaxing break in the English countryside. Surrounded by rolling hills, woods, and a stream, and boasting views of the garden and the private pond, this is a restful retreat. We love the outside space, where you can enjoy sunny afternoons and cosy up around the log burner after dark. Inside, the open-plan kitchen and dining space is the heart of the home, ideal for family gatherings. From here, you can visit Rutland Water and the market towns of Oakham and Uppingham.
