True to traditional Cornish living and surrounded by beautiful scenery, Kingsand and Cawsand still deliver the unspoiled experience of sleepy coastal villages from another time. Get a taste of the calm Cornish life in this recently renovated cottage that's been fully modernised but retains its character with exposed brickwork and wooden floors. We particularly enjoyed the ample kitchen, boasting chunky worktops and a huge range cooker where you can whip up a hearty meal with fresh, local produce. The living areas are stylish with a subtle nautical theme and – most importantly – they invite you to gather around the wood-burning fire for long evenings of laughter and conversation. If you want to explore other corners of this beautiful county, the beautiful fishing port of Looe is a little over thirty minutes away, while Fowey, Bodmin Moor and St Austell are approximately an hour's drive.

Tea & Pastries

Located along Devon’s Jurassic coast, this modern farmhouse is an idyllic place to call home. Sitting just above the sands of Boivsand Beach, you and your loved ones can make the most of your coastal location, while Plymouth’s bustling centre is just a short drive away. The contemporary country-style kitchen invites you to get creative though there are great restaurants in nearby Plymouth if you prefer to dine out. Everyone will be getting a good night’s rest here, courtesy of the comfy bedrooms, and come morning, welcome a new day with a cup of coffee out in the private garden overlooking the sea. 

Magnolia Sunset

If you're looking for a quiet corner of Cornwall where you can really relax, then this is the place for you. Situated in the sleepy hamlet of Portwrinkle, just a stone's throw away from the beach, this handsome home can sleep up to ten guests plus a fluffy pal. 

The interior is ultra-modern, and you'll love the open-plan living space that's perfect for socialising. If the weather is chilly then you can curl up on the sofa and admire the vista from indoors, thanks to the huge windows framing the sea. However, if the sun is shining, we think you'll want to spend most of your time outside, breathing in the salty air and perhaps sipping a glass of Cornish craft gin and tonic. And, kids and teens will love playing in the games room, while the grown-ups soak in the alfresco hot tub – perfection. 

The local beach is only 100m away, where you can dip your toes in the water or perfect your paddleboarding skills. When you get hungry or thirsty, the local pub is a ten-minute walk up the hill where you can enjoy some traditional hospitality. And, if you fancy doing some exploring, lace up your boots and join the nearby South West Coastal Path to admire the epic views.

A collection of three beautifully presented homes – including two former barns and a Victorian Gothic-style cottage – it’s located in forty acres of private countryside. On the farm estate, you'll find your own private riverside shingle beach to walk to, and further afield, sandy beaches just 13 miles away. Highlights of the estate include three hot tubs (two electric, one wood-fired), three wood burners, and three flat-screen satellite televisions and DVD players, along with a selection of books, board games, and DVDs. You’ll also have use of the tennis court, orchard picnic area, basketball hoop, communal games room with table tennis, woodland, and nature reserve. For that extra special touch, the hosts can organise private wild food foraging workshops, stand-up paddle boarding tuition, spa treatments, or afternoon tea. Basically, it’s a fantastic group trip destination, whether you’re a party of four or fourteen.

Family On The Farm

This contemporary home was designed as a lookout to admire the meandering Tamar Estuary. The large windows, open living space and terrace present a spanning view of the water and natural surroundings. As you enter the home, The front door leads directly into the open-plan living room with oak flooring and full height sliding doors leading out onto a south-east facing balcony framing the panoramic waterfront views. With the waterfront vistas stretching through to the bedrooms too, it couldn't be easier to stretch out, unplug and relax away from the daily grind of working life. Boat lovers are in for a treat, as you can access the river via the private pontoon and explore the Cornish coastline without having to head to a port. With direct water access onto the estuary for about three hours on either side of high tide, enjoy canoeing or crabbing directly from the private pontoon. This, coupled with the dingy slipway offers the perfect waterfront lifestyle. The Peninsula is dotted with pretty fishing villages and unspoilt beaches, which provide excellent seaside adventures. It's a truly idyllic spot for families or groups of friends looking for a rural getaway and to enjoy nature's charm with outdoor activities and a slow pace of life.

Flow & Meander

Bursting with character, this cute-as-a-button barn conversion found on a forty-acre Cornish farm offers a real escape from the stresses of modern life. You'll have all the charming rustic touches you would hope for — exposed stone walls, a vaulted ceiling and a log burner — but there's a modern feel, and absolutely no chintz. You can slip into your own wood-fired hot tub just outside the back door, and the host has been thoughtful enough to provide a generous stack of logs to get you started. Meet the farm animals or set off alongside the private Nature Reserve to discover the private shingle beach on the River Tamar. Later, take advantage of some of the farm's other surprises — a communal games room with ping-pong, a shared tennis court, a hammock hidden away in the orchard, and a basketball hoop. With a number of extra activities also bookable, you can take part in a foraging workshop, try out stand-up paddleboarding or get involved in local wine tasting. Alternatively, you can drive to the port city of Plymouth in about forty minutes and visit the National Marine Aquarium.

A great base to explore the local area, The property is positioned just moments away from the waterfront and the bustling high street with its array of charming cafés, pubs, and restaurants. And, of course, no visit to Cornwall would be complete without a day trip to the beach. With Whitsand Bay a mere 20-minute drive away, boasting over three miles of breath-taking sand, you'll have the perfect opportunity to bask in its beauty - so bring along your bucket and spade!

Nestled Haven

Set in fifty-five acres of rolling grounds, with woodland, landscaped gardens and views over the River Tamar, this stunning piece of history was built in 1698. Based on an even earlier fortified home, its turrets and striking architecture mean it's always been referred to as 'the castle'. With grand hallways, antique furniture and character features at every turn, this really could be your own stately home for a time. Fit for a large group or an extended family – perhaps celebrating a special occasion – it's a joy to stay here at any time of year. The two drawing rooms have open fires for winter nights, while the solar-heated pool will delight during the summer. There's a huge dining table for celebration dinners, a games room with table football and a pool table, a barbecue and fire pit in the grounds, and eleven elegant bedrooms – each with private facilities. The perfect base from which to explore the West Country, it's easy to get to Dartmoor, the Devon and Cornwall coast and an abundance of pretty villages by car, while keen walkers can hike the nearby trails along the Tamar Valley or enjoy the many walks around the estate. Follow the paths down to the picturesque bathing hut on the quay, or up to original owner Sir James Tillie's mausoleum. It's a six-minute drive to one of the area's premier golf courses and just over twenty minutes into the centre of Plymouth.
