It's also under twenty minutes on foot from the historic town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, best known for its pier and charming tramway – it’s one of the oldest operating water-balance cliff lifts. When you're not trying the town's excellent bars and restaurants, make the most of the modern kitchen, perhaps taking your meal down to the garden for an alfresco dinner.
