The Tudor Crest

There's an awful lot to like about this Regency home, but to start with anything but the incredible location feels almost sacrilegious. Sitting on top of Chester's old walls and overlooking the River Dee, you'll spend countless hours on the rear terrace, dining and relaxing with this most scenic of backdrops.

That being said, the home's interior is quite impressive, too. The tall windows and high ceilings lend an innate grandeur, and this is only furthered by the contemporary design that gives classic tropes – chandeliers, wood-panelled bookshelves, copper bathtubs – a modern-day spin. The stunning kitchen and cosy living room complete with roaring fireplace are sure to be favourites among those with sophisticated tastes, but there's also a massive games room and home cinema to keep everybody entertained.

When you can prise yourself away from this home's many amenities, there's a wealth of historic attractions, buzzy bars and riverside walking paths to explore in local Chester, but there are other options a little further afield – beaches on the north Welsh coastline can be reached in 45 minutes' drive, while Liverpool sits a similar amount of time to the north.





Regent's Treat

Located on a farm in the heart of the Peak District, this home puts you on the doorstep of some of the UK’s most beautiful vistas. Drive twenty minutes to hike Robin Hood’s Cave and make an even shorter trip to Froggatt Edge, Padley Gorge, and many other scenic points. 

There is nothing quite like getting back in touch with nature to restore a sense of peace and even if hiking isn’t your idea of fun, you can still establish that connection just by sitting down outside. We recommend watching at least one sunrise from the garden chair as you nurse your first coffee of the day. 

Back inside the kitchen’s generous size lends itself to experiments and collaborative meals – flip pancakes and set up a topping station where everyone can get as creative as they’d like. 

Walk the grounds – you might even run into resident black lab, Digby, along the way – and have an impromptu kickabout with a football. Set the timer on your phone's camera and pose for a group photo with nothing but green expanse as a background. 

At night, when you’ve returned from a quintessentially British visit to the local pub, you can kindle the woodburner and sit back for cosy conversation before a soak in the tub and a peaceful night’s sleep in one of the comfortable bedrooms.

Nestled in the quiet village of Foolow in Derbyshire, you'll feel at one with nature from being surrounded by miles of green fields. Whether you want to go out and wander around them, play games with the family, or just stay at home admiring the scenery from afar, you're sure to enjoy the surroundings either way. The garden of this home is particularly special. The outside seating area is tailor-made for enjoying an evening tipple. Why not sample the local Lindway Brook champagne and toast to making wonderful memories? When the light starts to fade, head inside and put your feet up in the lounge while the wood burner glows away.

Being situated in the Peak District, this cottage is in an ideal location to make the most of one of the UK's most beautiful regions. Get the boots on and hike one of the many trails here, or jump on two wheels and cycle to a nearby destination. We recommend the seventy-minute cycle to Buxton – a lovely town dating back to the Roman times that's known for its natural thermal springs. Soak your tired muscles before heading back to the cottage for the evening.

Green Fields

Take a break from the fuss and flutter of daily life and retreat to this traditional English cottage in the charming village of Tideswell. A former sweet shop, this boutique-style home combines original features with contemporary furnishings to create a modern yet warm and inviting space. Stepping inside, you'll find pearly white walls, ceilings and stone floors, while the log burner and wooden beams overhead keep things extra cosy. Explore the rolling green fields of the Peak District National Park right on your doorstep, or enjoy a morning walk through the village, passing cheery pubs, bistros, fish and chip shops and quaint little tea rooms. Stop off for a classic scone with jam and clotted cream or tuck into a full English breakfast close by or visit the award-winning restaurant 'The Merchant's Yard' for a special occasion. Toffee Treat

Tucked away in the South West Peak District, this cosy homestead is a rambler's dream. It's set on a working sheep farm in the quiet village of Wincle, and guests are free to roam the whopping thirty-eight acres of fields and woodlands, which stretch to the banks of the River Dane. Make sure to bring a pair of wellies and some proper walking boots – picturesque footpaths cut across the farmland, so you'll want to get out and explore. After an amble through the countryside, reward yourself with a pint and some delicious food at the local pub – it's a five-minute stroll away and has plenty of charm. Back at home, you'll love unwinding with a glass of wine in front of the inglenook fireplace – complete with a crackling log-burner – or playing a board game around the dining table. When you're in the mood for a home-cooked feast, put on your favourite radio station and cook up a storm in the modern kitchen – it has everything you'll need and then some. With great views towards Hanging Stone and modern upgrades like sleek rain showers and underfloor heating, this home effortlessly combines country living with contemporary conveniences – it's the perfect place to get away from it all.

Otterly Cosy

We're pretty sure that you won't find many cottages cuter than this. Built at the backend of the eighteenth century, this traditional weaver's house is Grade-II listed and you can see why. Inside, the wooden ceiling beams, exposed brickwork and stable door are full of rustic charm, while a log-burning fire and antique furnishings add an extra level of cosiness. To the side of the home, there's a patio area complete with alfresco seating where you can enjoy a coffee and the surrounding tranquillity of West Yorkshire. Fans of Last of the Summer Wine — one of the longest-running sitcoms in the world — will love walking around the local town of Holmfirth where it was filmed. The Peak District is only a ten-minute drive away too if you're in the mood for a long ramble.

Summer Wine

With 5 acres at your disposal, this rustic cottage in the Peak District is the ideal escape for anyone looking to indulge in a slice of rural peace. Not so rural, however, that you can’t easily nip into the Georgian gem that is Ashbourne. Explore the local coffee shops and markets whilst you’re there by strolling the cobbled streets and admiring the architecture. The award-winning Callow Hall is five minutes away, and Thor’s Cave – one of the beautiful hiking trails of the area – can be found at the other end of a twenty-minute drive. 

But we bet we had you at rural peace, didn’t we? You’d be right to embrace it and there’s no better way than soaking up all that quiet from your position on the sunlounger. In the summer months, you can ward off the heat by slipping into the beautifully clear, private pool. Autumn and spring would best be spent strolling the large garden – you might even pack a basket and thermos for an impromptu picnic when you find a spot that you’re particularly drawn to. 

Select one of the books in the library and curl up with it on the leather sofa, only getting up to top off your coffee. Evenings can be spent watching a movie in front of the crackling fire or by playing board games – just as long as you don’t forget the cocoa. If it’s not too nippy out yet, you might also find an alfresco meal at sunset to be one of your favourite moments of the day.

Bentley Brook Cottage

If you're looking for a break in beautiful Derbyshire, this Grade II Listed 17th-century cottage in the market town of Bakewell hits the spot. It's been lovingly converted by your hosts into a stylish home for a family or two couples. 

When it's warm and sunny, relax in the pretty garden or unwind inside surrounded by character features such as the massive inglenook fireplace with a log burner and sash windows. We can imagine lots of convivial meals in the elegant dining room, for sure.

Staying on the topic of food, this cottage is centrally located in this gem of the Peak District. The town is famous for its Bakewell pudding, but that's not all there is to attract foodies – there's an array of award-winning restaurants and pubs too. Add to that a fantastic Monday market, as well as a good selection of shops and a great golf course, and you have the recipe for plenty of fun times. For walkers, Bakewell Station (The Monsal Trail) is a five-minute walk away, and it's been a popular trail since the Midland Railway line was closed in 1968. Other attractions include Dovedale, one of the most stunning valleys in England, as well as the caves at Castleton, the spa town of Buxton and Chatsworth House.



Sundew Cottage

Beyond this home’s landscaped garden, it’s nothing but fields as far as the eye can see. You’re in a tiny West Yorkshire village, just a short hop in the car from the natural wonders of the Peak District. The exterior is honey-stone perfection with a plant-filled garden providing an al fresco spot for drinks and lounging in the sunshine. Glass doors fold back from the dining room for meals that feel as though they’re outside. A modern interior – black walls and leather sofas – is a far cry from the cottage exterior, but doesn’t take away from the comfort of this country bolthole.   

Heart of The Hills

This charming apartment is tucked away in the heart of the Peak District. It’s the perfect base for a couple looking to spend a few romantic days away in the countryside. Beautiful Bakewell is a fourteen-minute drive, and Chatsworth House, with its rich history and stunning gardens, is eighteen minutes away. 

This is a home with comfort at its heart. After days spent touring historic houses and meandering around scenic villages, it’s a delight to return to. You might spend the morning hiking in the countryside surrounding the farm, and then head back here to curl up with a good book. The courtyard garden is a lovely spot for an alfresco lunch, and boasts gorgeous views. 

In the evening, stroll thirteen minutes to the local pub for a pint by the roaring fire. You can dine there or back at the apartment, enjoying the cosy open-plan living and dining space. Later on, sink into the oh-so-comfortable bed – you’re guaranteed a peaceful night’s sleep here.
