The fully equipped kitchen and charming dining room are perfect for preparing and sharing meals together. No.8 features two king size bedrooms, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and a family bathroom for your comfort. Whether you're exploring County Durham or simply seeking a peaceful break, this delightful retreat is your ideal home away from home.

Idyllic Durham Getaway

This apartment, with its contemporary design and clutter-free spaces, provides respite from Newcastle’s bustling centre, less than a ten-minute drive from your doorstep. We loved the contrast of the blue and grey, creating a bold yet elegant place to call home. After a restful snooze in the hotel-quality beds, start your mornings with a mug of Earl Grey in the living room, then rustle up a hearty breakfast in the neat kitchen. 

When you’re ready to explore, admire the neoclassic buildings of Grainger Town before shopping in independent stores and picking up artisanal products at Grainger Market. If you fancy brushing up on your history knowledge, visit Newcastle Castle and the Laing Art Gallery.  In the evening, make your way over to the trendy Jesmond neighbourhood for a fantastic selection of chic cocktail bars and eclectic dining options. 

Sultans of Swing

A charming two-bedroom holiday home in the village of West Rainton, Spring Cottage is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your holiday. The home is beautifully decorated and features everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine and dryer, and a free WiFi connection. The property is also located just a short walk from the local pub and restaurant.

My Coastal Bliss cottage forms part of a large semi-detached house situated in the heart of the beautiful North East coastline. Thoroughly furnished with style, comfort, and functionality in mind, this one-bedroom property is a welcoming place for visitors to enjoy. Located just 0.5 miles from Tynemouth Beach, guests can indulge in stunning views and unique restaurants and bars. The property features a large and stylish kitchen with spacious living areas, offering a bright and clean bathroom leading to the double bedroom. A wow factor moment awaits you in the stunning open-plan kitchen with eye-catching high ceilings. Step out into the private garden at the rear of the property, where you can sit out during the evening and savor the last remaining sunshine. With plenty of free on-street parking available, Coastal Bliss offers tranquility and relaxation by the coast.

Shoreline Oasis

Seven minutes by car from Durham city centre, this former rectory plays host to a most luxurious home that feels a world away from urban life. In the rolling fields of County Durham lies a village called Witton Gilbert. At its heart, you’ll find local pubs, shops, and a bowling green, but a five-minute walk will take you up to your vast manor. Enter through majestic,  wrought-iron gates, up your private drive, to the bright blue front door – a cheery invitation to welcome you inside. With modern, velvet furniture in the living space illuminated by enormous bay windows, the gold detailing truly shimmers in the afternoon sun. Pad across the plush carpet to the flagstone floors of the kitchen, where you can rustle up a wholesome Sunday roast on the bottle-green Aga. The dining space has ample room for the whole family, with a rustic table made from huge planks of wood, for a nod to country living. On a balmy summer evening, you might even want to trade the dining table for a picnic on the lawn, followed by a game of tennis on your private court (and a gin and tonic after sunset).

The Ecclesiastic

This delightful home is the epitome of Scandi style. Wherever you turn, you’ll see light spaces unbothered by clutter coupled with clean lines and cosy furnishings. Despite its simple style, there are features that jump out at you – yes, we’re talking about the inglenook fireplace that adds a little flair to the kitchen, and the exposed wooden beams that give character to the spa-like bathroom. Speaking of the kitchen, this has to be our favourite spot. If you have someone keen to show off their culinary skills, they’ll find everything they need in this sleek space. While dinner is cooking, the rest of the group can prop themselves up at the breakfast bar, uncork a bottle of wine and let the conversation flow. This sociable space ensures no one misses out.

A home for all seasons, in chillier months, cuddle up on the corner sofa in the evening and find yourself a flick to watch. When the sun is shining, you’ll probably prefer to have dinner or drinks alfresco and soak up a little Vitamin C.

Durham is just a short fifteen-minute drive away from your home in West Rainton and well worth a visit. A vibrant city which bursts with life, it still maintains its history and you’ll find yourself wandering the cobbled streets, popping into independent shops. Another must-see is the stunning Norman architecture on display at Durham Cathedral. With so much to enjoy, it’s nice to remember the charming home you have to return to after a busy day.

Lighthouse Lodge

Ideal for passionate escapes, alone time with oneself, or professional retreats, this special Edwardian gem in the inviting town of Whitley Bay will captivate hearts. Just a whisper away from the lapping waves of the sea at a mere 200 steps, guests are immersed in serene coastal moments. The heart of this lively town is effortlessly close - a plethora of welcoming pubs, enticing restaurants, and assorted shops wait to be discovered right outside the front door. This restored apartment provides guests with an authentic experience of seaside life united with historical charm.

Edwardian Euphoria

In the quaint village of Seaton Delaval, this spot offers a convenient base to those seeking a quiet break by the sea. Balance chilling out with soaking up the charming Northumberland coastline, just a short drive away. The apartment's interiors nod to the nautical location, reminding you that you'll never be too far away from the soothing seascape when staying here. 

After adventures spent exploring the five villages of the Seaton Valley, unwinding is a breeze as the home is equipped with access to Netflix, a large bathtub and everything you'll need in the kitchen to whip up heart homemade meals when spending cosy evenings at home. Alternatively, the local village is home to a few local pubs – ideal for meals out or a nightcap. 

Boats on the Bay

Looking for luxury? This apartment in the coastal town of Tynemouth is the picture of lavish elegance. With so much room, you won't believe this whole apartment is just for the two of you. Not only is the home decorated beautifully, but it's also in the heart of the town, just a short walk away from the sandy beach.
